Interview - Fashion Blogger
On average how much do you spend on trainers?
Between £60-£170, depending on the brand.
Where do you tend to shop for trainers?
Usually online on sites such as End, HBX and Size?
What do you prioritise when purchasing trainers? (e.g. style, comfort, colour, collab/name)
It’s all about exclusivity, if I know about a new limited edition release then that’ll take priority. Next is brand, style, then comfort.
Do you feel influenced to purchase trainers? Who/what by?
Yes, influence takes part in every purchase - not just sneakers, even if we don’t think so. I’m massively into influencers, so this comes as a natural influence to me. Then I also have subscriptions to online magazines such as HYPEBAE, Sneakermyth etc.
Where do you get most of your style inspiration?
Most of my style inspiration comes from my surroundings. I like to be comfortable no matter what the occasion, but I will dress to the situation I’m in.
Do any sport or trainer brands stand out on social media?
Nike will always be number one for any sneakerhead, closely followed by adidas with the Yeezy collab.
What’s your opinion on the athleisure trend?
I’m all about the athleisure trend. I find it ridiculous that for years it’s been acceptable for men to wear sneakers/athleisure day-to-day whilst women have been restricted to wear comfort at the gym or home.
Would you be willing to pay more for a collaboration trainer?
Paying more for a collaboration comes with the package, if the cost was the same price as normal sneakers, it wouldn’t have the same effect.
Who do you think has had the best trainer collaboration with a brand from the following? (Skepta x Nike, Kendrick Lamar x Reebok, The Weeknd x Puma, Kanye x Adidas, Rihanna x Puma)
I’d be obliged to say Skepta x Nike, as I have a pair of the exclusives.
Who do you think would be the best trainer collaboration for Adidas from the following? (Drake, Stormzy, Eminem) Why?
Drake would be a good collaboration, he’s well-known in the fashion industry. Stormzy would be another great collaboration, as he’s massively up and coming in the UK.
Opinion on our trainer:
The trainers themselves are cool, there’s a nice cross over from the original Superstars and the new NMDs which we’ve seen crop up over the last year or so. The best of both shoes has been taken and combined. The black pair would look great with a black sole, to mix it up a bit.

Here’s Where to Cop the Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 Low on December 3
Interesting article on Travis Scott X Nike shoe release:
Tumblr media
Brand: Nike
Model: Travis Scott Nike Air Force 1 Low
Key Features: Scott’s take on the Air Force 1 features a velcro Swoosh detail with three alternate Swooshes that can be switched out, in addition to reflective binding, a lace deubré shaped like Travis’s signature grills, and finally a gum sole.
Release Date: December 3
Price: N/A
Buy: The sneaker will be available at select stockists worldwide, a list of which you can find at the bottom of the page.
Editor’s Notes: To celebrate 35 years of the Air Force 1 silhouette, Nike tasked five icons in their respective fields with offering their take on Nike’s iconic Air Force 1. There was just one stipulation: it had to be all white. The chosen five are Don “Don C” Crawley, Virgil Abloh, Travis Scott, Kareem “Biggs” Burke, and ACRONYM’s Errolson Hugh.
In recent years, Travis has made his Swoosh affiliation quite clear, working on the brand’s Jordan division with a Trunner LX, and constantly endorsing Nike and Jordan products on social media.
It’s immediately very obvious that Travis’s love for the Swoosh inspired his project. Not able to pick just one Swoosh, he added a velcro Swoosh detail with three alternate Swooshes that can be switched out before rounding off his Air Force 1 Low with a fresh gum sole.
Check out our roundup of the entire pack here in case you need to refresh your memory.

Interview - Adidas Worker
What age range of customers do you see in store? - we see quite a large mixture of ages in store. A lot of families come in, but I'd say I mostly see males ages 18 - 30. Most girls come in to buy the gym gear. What is the average price of a pair of trainers at adidas? - Average price? About £80/90 if you don't count the trainers that are special edition or like Yeezy's. they're a lot more expensive. What is the most popular shoe sold? - Definitely Stan Smith's Superstars. Runner up would be any kind of Boost. Ultra Boost mainly. Or NMD's but I think they're mostly popular in Asia. Do mostly men or women buy adidas trainers? - I personally think that men shop at adidas mostly. Although a lot of women do come in store, there just seems to be slightly more men. Especially young adults. I think adidas is becoming much more popular with girls in recent years though! Do a lot of people buy into collaborations? (Brands and celebs) - Yes! Celebrity and brand collaborations do really well. They're usually pretty expensive so people would buy them to brag about the fact that they have them. People keep the boxes and postcard artwork that come with the shoe too. People love it! Same with limited edition shoes, they sell out fast regardless of the price because a lot of people want to own cool shoes that most of their friends won't have. There's a lot of sneaker heads out there! Which logo do you think people prefer? - Most prefer Adidas originals logo rather than the others. But it seems to be a rule at adidas that the three stripes go on sport shoes , however people would prefer the sport performance shoes with the original logo for sure. Do you buy from adidas? - Always. Especially since I get discount! Do you think the brand is changing? If so, how? - yeah it's changing but I think it's just changing to fit today's society and trends. It has definitely made more of a name for itself though. What do you think is the brands target audience? - I think adidas is targeted mostly at young men. There's an increase in women shopping at adidas but they mostly cater to young men with the styles, colours and they just offer more products for them. Drake, Stormzy or CK for a collab with adidas? - Stormzy 110%. He's pretty much already sponsored by adidas, it's all he wears! He's already done loads of promotional work with them like the video with Manchester United. He even raps about them, everyone knows he loves adidas so it'll be a perfect collaboration. I think it would be the best choice since it's the most likely to happen and he really fits to the brand. Stormzy X Adidas would sell out instantly. I know i would buy some!

JO - Brand Instagram
I had a look on the Adidas Originals Instagram page, to see what sort of content they’re posting.
The Adidas page tends to focus more on sports and the brand itself, whereas the Adidas Originals page focuses on product:
Tumblr media
It’s interesting to see how Adidas promote new styles or limited edition styles. The A.I. Camo NMD are limited edition, with only 900 pairs per colourway available across the US, so customers must register to be able to purchase.

The upcoming release of this new pack is promoted as getting ready for the winter months with it’s distinct, bright colour palette.
