So excited for this film and all the other upcoming live-action Disney adaptations. I hope they all use Beauty & the Beast (2017) as a template and expand the animated films rather than reconstruct them, because people go to these live-action films to see their beloved animations come to life and explored in more detail.

Also.....Mulan NEEDS TO BE A MUSICAL.

IT: Chapter Two Poster.

I saw two test screenings for this film many months ago....the first time I was extremely disappointed because the film felt very empty, unfulfilling, sloppy, & visually dull, but when I watched it a second time, I was blown away. It’s as if they took all my notes & it was amazing.

I just watched the final cut last night & it was better than ever before. Creepy, funny, emotional, and poignant. It’s a beautiful coming-of-age story & another modern horror film that brings respect to the genre. And I’m absolutely stoked that it’s making as much money as a superhero blockbuster.

Disney’s Live Action Sleeping Beauty Poster.

As Disney continues to make live-action adaptations of their beloved animated films, I think they need to do a faithful adaptation of Sleeping Beauty to re-establish Maleficent as an actual villain. 

In the movie Maleficent, Disney basically told me my childhood was a lie & they need to make up for it by making an adaptation that co-exists with the live-action Cinderella, The Jungle Book, and Beauty & the Beast (I need a cinematic universe btw). But keep Jolie as Maleficent because she was perfect.
