Loving a beardy-boy is an adventure. Those beards hold secrets. In Lucanis’s case, it’s a jawline that could cut glass. In my hubby’s… it’s a sudden incredible twin-like resemblance to his big sister 🤣🤌✨ (Though to his credit, he’s steadfastly kept some type of facial hair in all the 15+ years I’ve been with him. And I LOVE IT.)

Much like my Rook, either way, that’s my sweet boy 💜 (Spite just thinks beards are COOL so he’s super salty here lol)

Another weekend getting my ass handed to me by perimenopause symptoms, so, what better time to indulge in my old forever-love of line art than while I can barely move? 🤣🤌

These are details from inks on the first of four pages of yet another Veilguard themed comic - For the first time in decades, The Dellamorte lineage is experiencing growth instead of loss - A situation more emotionally complicated for Illario than most. (Also pictured, Lucanis, Rook and the first of their minis, Caterina because of course she feels the need to insert herself in literally everything a bit more than is comfortable, Strife - who in my own headcanon has been looking after Rook one way or another since she was a squirt, his now-hubby Emmrich, Viago, Taash and Harding. It’s a “Found Family” celebration, because that’s just how Rook rolls.)

Next comic stars Illario. My feelings about this character are pretty complex - The man’s gotten the shaft on so many levels it’s ridiculous, yet I’d like to strangle the shithead for where he let it take him in Veilguard. I like to think there’s a glimmer of redemption in everyone, though, so we’re going to explore the idea.

But first, I’m figuring out this goober’s face.

New commission for Manila was so much fun! Manila had beautiful customized concepts for everyone’s attire for Lucanis and her Rook’s wedding, and I had a total blast drawing each! Plus I finally had the chance to draw Teia and Viago - Back there looking flawless as usual 🥰 Thanks so much, Manila!

Poor Emmrich. I’ve had a headcanon that (especially with Rook’s Chaos Gremlin energy) Rook and Lucanis wind up being the sort of “fun aunt and uncle” to Manfred, “load him up with sugar and sent him home to dad”-style. That includes encouraging his little imagination, and letting him pretend to be a rad little Crow when Emmrich isn’t looking. Sorry, Professor. Your kid’s too cute, it was bound to happen 🤣♥️
