I know we are all used to hear bad news from the USA or UK when it comes to trans rights but this time Germany wants to play in the same league.

Our idiots at home ministry came up with the fucking idea to start a register for all transgender and nonbinary people which would mean every person working at some public position could always at any given time see your assigned gender at birth, your deadname, your address and who knows what else.

We had been there in the past. Hitler Germany called it the "Travestite Law" back then. Our politicians didn't learn.

We all know this is unacceptable.

Please, if you are German, sign it. If you are not, spread it wide and far.

This had been stopped once a few years ago. It needs to be stopped again.

As of writing, the official petition to have the Online Safety Act repealed is close to 30,000 signatures, but it's barely enough to garner much attention to where it may be dismissed by Parliament, or may get discussed but not getting to where it'll be repealed to actually figure a system that doesn't carry the risk of private information getting leaked.

i am currently undergoing the process of hEDS and POTS diagnoses. it's not a cheap endeavor; a single appointment costs me about $500, and there's a lot of medical equipment involved as well (that the health insurance is refusing to cover). for the most part, i'm able to cover it myself. however, without going into personal details, things have been a little tight lately, and i'm finding myself struggling to deal with some things monetarily. a lot of it is personal stuff that i don't feel super comfortable sharing, but just know that even if you can only afford a black-and-white bust, it would be an immense help. being a full-time college student makes it difficult to find a job, and commissions are currently the only way i have of picking up some extra money. as of right now, there are only 6 slots open, as i'm moving into finals and things are starting to heat up.
