I don’t generally tend to buy into the whole “bluh bluh wwe isn’t REAL wrestling” thing (things change and progress etc and on some level it sometimes feels very “it’s for BABIES now” as if it wasn’t always, on some level, geared towards familial investment imo) but I do admit that my level of engagement isn’t always the greatest when it comes to actual matches so there are a lot of weeks where I was only half paying attention during raw or smackdown, right. Which means I’d end up missing something pretty cool in the moment or undervaluing some really good wrestlers. Which sucks! I think I kinda wandered with my point here but like the emphasis on promo work w/ WWE means that I can get away with doing that, with just listening without really locking in. (You could maybe argue that this is a reflection of WWE’s questionable quality lately, but honestly I was doing this even before it got *gestures vaguely*)

So watching AEW and really Having to Lock The Fuck In during matches has been good for me, I think! It means I’m looking away from my phone more often and really fucking appreciating how insane the roster is. Jesus Christ.

Anyway dynamite was a good time! I don’t know if it felt like an exploding hot pocket per se but also I sure did hop in like a week and a half before a ppv so obviously I’ve missed a fair bit of build. But my fiancé enjoyed seeing Cope and Christian make up and I can at least recognize the significance of some of the stuff that happened!
