What do you do for your family when you work late…

I feel so guilty when they call and ask me what’s for supper but I’m not gonna be home for a good bit…

Tonight it’s a Baconator kinda night…

Of course I have 1 kid who doesn’t like bacon… IDK whose kid they really are…

Prenatals all day and now waiting to deliver supper…

Wednesday in the Parking Lot

It’s a hot night because, obviously, no one told Virginia that it is fall.

I’m sitting in my church parking lot, waiting on my youngest to finish her youth activity. (How is it that my youngest is 15?)

It’s dark.

The only lights are my dash lights and the only sound is the hum of my car running and Miranda Lambert singing from the radio.

Phone Calls

Phone calls are necessary.

It is essential to be able to reach me at all hours because of the work that I do.

However….reaching out via text at 4am to ask if you can reschedule your appt is ridiculous.

Midwives really do have lives and they really do need sleep.

What do you think is the best way to handle this situation?
