Since it's pride month and I've got nothing better to do I want to just say thank you to Undertale for helping me realize I was queer. I still can't believe it's almost 10 years old. Specifically a thank you to Alphys and Undyne. I relate to both of them so much and they were my first real exposure to being sapphic. Alphys was literary my gay awakening. This game and especially the characters are very close to me still even 9 years later.

This is so rushed but I had many ideas in my head and HAD to get them on paper. Also yes she speaks in all lowercase except when she's shouting or for the word "bug". I thought it was funny okay.

Marina and Samarie in an au where they're in their late 20s yaaaa!!

Some headcanons and notes:

• Decided to have them be married because I want them to be happy damn it. I think they'd have very cute wedding rings, I just didn't want to draw it so simple rings for noww.

• Their personalities haven't changed much. Marina is a bit more mature and emotionally open, but still keeps her playfulness and sarcasm. Samarie learns to be less intrusive and more confident, unfortunately she's still anxious as all hell.

• Samarie is still sick but she has more energy and is visibly a lot more healthier. She sleeps, eats, bathes, and gets out more. She does (again) still struggle with chronic illness, so she sees doctors regularly and often has days where she's stuck in bed.

• Both girls have probably gone to therapy. Marina for her family and religious trauma, Samarie for her time at the Ninth Circle, and both from the Termina Festival and mental disorders.

• Samarie still has a huge obsession with Marina, only now Marina knows of Samarie and is more comfortable after setting boundaries with her.

• I'm not sure what they'd do work wise. I could see Marina working at a witchy store, while Samarie works somewhere small and quiet like a library or an art supply shop.

• I think they'd keep their same usual fashion, just more modern with the 50s than 40s. Marina is very fashionable, she also keeps her cutesy aesthetic. Samarie isn't as fashionable and just wears what's comfortable, she does have a gothic preference though.

• Maybe they'd have a pet. Like a cat or tarantula. Both. I could see both.
