   | ♔ █       He was sleeping like the dead, passed out behind the lounge blocked by the large furniture as well as the fact his bedroom was dimly lit. However, upon hearing his door squeak open (he wouldn’t allow the servants to oil the hinges, he made sure he knew when someone entered without knocking.) he stirred. Upon the sound of soft footsteps on his floor & which had trouble being quiet as they tried to dodge the hundreds of plush toys he had ripped to shreds. Mismatched hues finally opened, his brows furrowing at the fact he had been disturbed ( as well as the ache in his back from the hard floor. ) Slowly, the Dormouse rose himself up from behind the lounge, his irritated features soon turning into a bored expression as he spotted that familiar beige hair & that (god awful) familiar hair cut.

          “ Do you mind telling me why you are in my room, Liz? ”

                 Hearing the soft shift of fabrics rubbing together, Liz became startled. She turned quickly, the long golden locks, dim in the darkness of his room. She could see those horribly irritated features on his face. She supposed she couldn’t blame him, she did sneak into his room. Though, she wished he was out right now. Her shoulders went stiff, her eyes showing the shock in her face. Well, how was she going to get out of this one without Vincent getting irritated all the more? Swallowing thickly after a minute, the young heir shifted in the pile of torn animals. If she was alone, she would have shuddered.

                 “ Well, first, I’m sorry for intruding. Second, I just came to leave something here for you. ”

                 While her brother’s out, doing Abyss knows what, she’s going to sneak into his room and place a small black velvet box on his nightstand with a small red bow on it. In it had ruby drops. She knew her brother already had a pair of ruby earrings that he wore just about every day, however she couldn’t help herself when she found them in the store in town. She knew Vincent wasn’t entirely big on his birthday, but she couldn’t leave it alone. Hopefully this would be enough, even if he never wore them. She's praying she won't get caught and he'll just accept the damn gift.

           The only father she could think off that could deserve gifts was the man lounging around on his couch after watering his plants. Putting her hair down from it’s tie, she walked over to her Chain, holding her hand out with a few crystals she bought. “ I couldn’t find a nice box to put them in and I know you’re a very spiritual person. ” She pressed a light kiss to Bengal’s hair and she smiled. “ Happy Father’s Day. ”

      Noah grunted, laying back down & huffing. “ Don’t be so sure. As embarrassing as this is to say, I had a big crush on my mother & my uncle as a little kid. Addison used to give me kisses too when we were little & I’d scream. ” He snorted, kissing her cheek & rolling back onto his back; careful of the wings he adorned. “ But you’re important to me & I’d never want you uncomfortable with me or what I do. & Of course we are, even if you were a guy, we’d be protective because you’re important to us. Dad sees you as a daughter & I see you as my sister. He’s known you for years, I’ve only known you in this life though. & I’m glad you trust me like that, Liz. I promise I’ll always be here for you no matter what, okay? ”

           “ Yes but those were crushes as a kid, as a kid you were fascinated in everything and you still are with your uncle’s hair. Your cousin and mother have always been affectionate and to a lot of people, they’re pleasing to the eye. ” Elizabeth grunted, opening up her eyes again and the cobalt pools stared over at her brother. “ You don’t make me uncomfortable, you never have, I’m just introverted and like to stay alone, it’s a habit when I’ve had to live with only your father after my house burnt down and while I was getting old, your mother came along so Bengal had to split his time. Bengal to me is many things, he’s always been a father figure to me and a brother --- and he’s always been my best friend since I was torn away from the other people I could even consider such. ” She laughed quietly and rolled over on her back. “ I know, but who knows what will happen in ten years when we’re done training and I’ve moved out? I have to take care of myself eventually. ”

      Noah sighed, rolling over on his side & facing her before pushing her bangs back. “ Hey. You know I’d never do that, right? I can’t stand the thought of some gross asshole feeling you up without your permission. I was just teasing you. Besides, you’re my sister, Elizabeth. I didn’t mean it that way. ” The ivorette kissed the blonde’s forehead, his warm lips then pressing to her temple as his nose nestled into soft beige locks. “ I won’t let anyone ever touch you like that again if you don’t give them your consent, alright? I might not be my parents, but I can & will break someone’s hand if they touch you when you don’t want them to. Just as I’m sure my father would as well. Just know you can always call me if you need me, okay? ”

           A soft laugh escaped the younger Chain and she nodded, “ I know you were, I’m not upset either, I’m merely telling you that is how I feel. I know you’d never mean it in that way, even if we’re not blood-related, I don’t peg you to be the incestuous sort of person. ” She closed her eyes, her thick lashes fluttering at the kiss to her forehead. Elizabeth smiled and she let out a soft breath. “ I figured you would, you’re like your father with me and you’re protective. I don’t blame you, I guess being the only girl in the house most of the time, it’s expected, especially if you knew me from a past life. I know I can, I have since I didn’t feel like going to Bengal’s all the time if he and Adrien were resting or just wanted some time alone. ”

     Noah grunted, his face flushing at the suddenness of his younger sister pressing her chest against his. It didn’t help his embarrassment that her chest was ever growing. “ You’re the one acting like it- so of course I’d tease you about it. Brothers tease their little sisters, it’s the way it goes. ” He laughed, taking in the breath he was holding once she had leaned away from him & rolled over. “ It kinda feels that way most of the time. It’s hard to explain, really. But in the spring, with so many people in heat, yeah it can kinda be like a mirror effect. It might as well be, anyways. No, no– it isn’t that, Liz; I didn’t mean it like that. I’m just not used to it because we have so many guys in the family, I’m not used to it & Alaina usually isn’t out during spring. ” Noah wouldn’t mind her becoming at least a bit more social, but at the same time, he liked their alone times like this.

           She glanced up at the amber pools, her turquoise ones shining warmly in the light seeping in from the Abyss. “ I’m not, I really never ask for anything --- Bengal just gives them to me and who am I to say no? It’s not like whatever he gets me is something I don’t like. Sex isn’t a thing that’s on my mind, even as a human it never was --- actually, I was rather put off of it with how much I was touched by other men. ” She grabbed a pillow when Noah rolled over, glancing over at his form and she smiled meekly. “ I understand. But, I’ve been here forever and, sadly, I started heat a little earlier than when puberty would start because puberty in general started a little early for me, I would have hoped you would have gotten used to it by now. But at least you only have a few more days left. ”
