Distance is more than a challenge. It's a stab to the heart every time you see people together and know you won't be there for a long time. It's the struggle to not give up on something that feels like it's not even there anyway. It's crying yourself to sleep every night until you realize there's nothing you can do to change this anyway. And it's something I'm not sure I can get through again.

Last night you told me a bedtime story about you and I, and I fell asleep to the sound of you breathing, imagining you were really here. Tonight I fall asleep to the sound of my fan and the corny movie I found on Netflix, I don't know what I'm trying to get at here, but what I do know is I miss talking to you every night. You're all I have, I don't have friends down the hall, or my best friend by my side at 2am, all I have is you and that's what scares me more than anything. You have so many people and friends, you could easily forget about me, and I would still only have you, whether you wanted me too or not. I just wish we could find the time to talk to each other like we used to, I'm starting to feel like less and less of a priority and more of an option.
