Comprehension is not a requisite for compliance. The Framers knew this, and it's time North Carolina, the NCAA and any other entity finding themselves in the way of progress to understand and comply.

Freedom is for everyone, or it is for no one.

There is no progress while hate-filled people are in power.

This murder/suicide clumsily executed by the #WhiteHeteroMalePatriarchy is the best evidence yet that they should never have been, nor ever should be in power.

The number one threat to Americans are White Supremacists/Nationalists of which we have several in all three branches of government as well as a large swath within our police force.

  Since the events of September 11th, 2001, more Americans have been killed by Christian Extremists than Muslim Extremists, yet this administration chose to ban Muslims from countries that have NEVER attacked the U.S. (clearly for fiscal purposes as we witness the first #ForProfitAdministration).

Rather than attempt to bridge a gap and “unify the country” as the administration’s empty rhetoric would have us believe, they have filled the cabinet INTENTIONALLY with ironic posts; none more ironic and dangerous as the appointing to U.S. Attorney General, a man known to be soft on Christian Extremists and hard on already disenfranchised minorities.

Rather than aqueous to scientific evidence on climate change, let alone the will of the American People, they have pushed forward with the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPl); the shipping & use of finite resources known to be destroying the planet’s ability to sustain life as we know it. Is this because as they say, it’s in the best interest of the country..? No. It’s in the best interest of their pocket books. It’s in their best interest to quell the empirical data which not only shows climate change is being accelerated by humans, but that we can halt this travesty by switching to clean energy; of which there are millions of jobs waiting to be filled by Americans.

Rather than defend Civil Liberties & Rights of minority communities such as #LGBTQ or #PoC, they have rolled back protections of these groups.

Rolled back.

They have rolled back Civil Liberties & Rights of disenfranchised groups.. and all in the name of “Religious Freedom”.

*On that note.. despite popular belief in the Christian Extremist camp, you do NOT have the religious freedom to discriminate*

Rather than protect women’s #BodyAutonomy, they have waged an attack on Women’s Health by defunding organizations historically praised for their work in regard to affordable, accessible Family Healthcare. They created fake videos in effort to convince their constituency, through lies & deceit that these organizations are doing malicious works.

Rather than protect women, they chose to enslave them.

  The only message coming from this administration and the cowardly senators & congresspersons who will not DENOUNCE these anti-American actions and rhetoric is, “U.S. means US.. Not YOU.”

It’s Not You.. It’s Me

A Random Son Of A Cop PoC On Racism In America

I wonder if I’ve just cracked the code on racism in America.

I read a quote on a meme recently that stated, (paraphrased) “It’s Not That THEY Are Against YOU, So Much As THEY Are For THEMSELVES.”

The THEY, I interpret as being subjective to whatever repressive force you feel in your own life, but I think it applies to Racism In America.

I call it “Racism In America” in title form because it is a living breathing entity that if left unchecked will grow too far out of control to reel back in. Thusly, I felt it necessary to give it a proper Surname.

RiA has morphed over the last 200 years. It has taken several forms. Active oppression and enslavement of PoC, Jim Crow Laws designed to limit freedoms, corrupt Housing And Community Development Affairs causing a socioeconomic as well as racial gap in urban and suburban communities to police officers claiming they need to over police black neighborhoods when in fact it is the very over policing that caused tensions to rise in the first place. Add on the government sanctioned introduction of crack cocaine into poor neighbourhoods of colour, the dismantling of our Mental Health System , the limiting of social resources to the aforementioned communities culminating with oppressive tactics, implemented systemically from basic training to private prisons, within the Criminal Justice System.

Why?

Not how. We know how. We are in the most dysfunctional political cycle in centuries. One that resorts to lies, fear tactics and bigotry at the highest level since Lincoln V Davis. Displaced people of any colour, creed or background will always be susceptible to the blatherings of a demagogue as long as that demagogue makes you FEEL like he cares about you and your problems.

It then becomes less about who is saying what, but how it’s being interpreted.

Basically, Trump couldn’t have gotten to his position unless he was saying something that rang true within a sliver of our society.

And that truth is not that they’re losing, but that someone else is winning.

Racism was blatant. You could set a PoC on fire just for looking at a nonPoC directly in the eyes. It happened all the time and it wasn’t that long ago. Racism at its objective worst was when PoC were considered no more than chattel to be traded, bartered, bought, sold, auctioned off and worked to death without a moment’s hesitation. This is Oppressive Racism. It’s a thing that was “done”. By the doing, it was an active form of racism.

Of course we still see that today around the world and yes, human trafficking still rears its ugly head on our patriotic shores, but in regard to racism, a concession must be made that no, we do not actively own PoC anymore.

 ~

But I would argue, the racism of today, the passive racism, is equally if not more detrimental to the progress that has been made in the name of freedom. Is it more racist to, as a slave owner, write a poem in 1812 about treacherous slaves crossing the lines to fight against America during the times when owning people was par for the course, or is it more racist to want to still cleave to that poem, make it into a song, intentionally omit the verses you’d like to pretend aren’t there and sell it for 60 years as inclusive; attempting to re-appropriate it as an anthem for all, denying the reality of its conception?

If history has shown us anything, it’s that when good people do nothing, bad people take over. How many allies to freedom have I heard condemning the constitutionally afforded right to protest enacted by several athletes? How many self-proclaimed patriots falsely equate Black Lives Matter with terrorist organizations in an effort to diminish the truth behind their message?

On this point real quick.. it is not “Black Lives Matter MOST or ONLY” so much as it is “Black Lives Matter Too”.

When RiA shows its head today, it’s in the bolstering and maintaining of antiquated laws, traditions and social practices designed at a time when PoC were not welcome at the table. PoC were not a part of the making of these laws. These laws were not designed with PoC best interests in equal share as nonPoC. We have a drug law that says cocaine use.. slap on the wrist.. crack use.. jail time; destroy your family. It’s the same drug. The only difference is what the person using the drug looks like.

The Alt-Right (racists, xenophobes, bigots, homophobes, warmongers.. you know.. deplorables) can’t actively oppress PoC in our modern world. They do not have the old reliable tools nor the numbers. Don’t get me wrong, they’re loud online, but that is just the death throes of their dwindling societal paradigm. No, The alt-Right must go All-In to maintain the status structure; the systemic inequity constructed before PoC were even considered people.

They Can no longer look at PoC and say you aren’t as good as us. PoC, despite much obstruction, are successful in ways once never thought imagined. Racism didn’t end when the voters of the U.S. TWICE elected a PoC to the highest office in the world, but it did halt the narrative that “THEY are less than US”. In its place we find a narrative of “We’re Still On Top And Must Stay There”.

Not because they will be moved to the “bottom”. No. because no powerful entity in the history of our species has willingly relinquished any percentage of power in order to foster equality.

The statement: “We Must Topple The Patriarchy” as profound and fresh as it was to hear, is only one part. We must topple the “White Male Patriarchy”. Not in an effort to bring nonPoC down to any level close to the dredges PoC have had to crawl out of, but i once again reiterate, to foster equality.

RiA today is no longer White Male Patriarchy proselytizing “You Are Lower Than Me” rather, it is saying “We Are Higher Than You.”

That mentality may not be easily toppled.

I’ve been trolled on here for a long time. One of the many, sadly. I’ve been called a lot, and mocked a lot. But now I’ve been accused of being a thief and I’ve fucking had it. I have never stolen anything in my life.  Plagiarizing someone else’s work goes against every fiber of my being. It’s morally and criminally reprehensible, and it’s absolutely not anything I have ever, or will ever, do. ABSOLUTELY. FUCKING. NOT.

Great minds happen. I research my tweets before posting, and there still have been several times where I’ve mistakenly tweeted something that someone else thought of. There are millions of people writing jokes, on Twitter and elsewhere. On those occasions, I feel awful, apologize, and delete what I wrote. That’s it.

And topical jokes are common slip-ups.  When something major happens in the news, every humorist and comic writer out there jumps on it. I wrote one that got big very quickly, and unfortunately a TV show already had that same joke lined up that same night, because of course it was - it was a huge topic at that time.  I had no idea, found out about it only after being attacked, and deleted. Great minds or not, I would never leave a joke like that up after learning it was used elsewhere. That’s disgusting, that’s wrong, and I’m very well aware of it.

In case I didn’t make this clear enough, I would never, EVER, steal from anyone. I’m on Twitter to write the stupid things in my head, to make friends, and to support people I like. Support, NOT steal. I’m a dope, I’m corny, I write stupid dad jokes and lame puns, and I make mistakes all the time. I know some people hate me and think I’m a joke.

But thieving is nothing that I would do for anything in a million years.  Ever.

last night, i was surrounded by ladies in their 20′s dressed in lingerie gallivanting around my homestead whilst a greasy, hairy dude took photos of them in various positions. i was approached by one of the young ladies who then made a humourous observation i would otherwise have volleyed back at her, but for some unknown reason, found myself stammering and pouring out nonsensical gibberish as though from a breached section of a dammed river. i then went to the fridge in the garage to get them all coca-colas. ~ I guess the lesson to learn from this dream is that i should be a coke addicted, underwear model photographer’s “go-fer”.
