National Reconcilation Week at Old Parliament House. It was a humbly experience standing in front of the Aboriginal Tent Embassy. A huge reminder the huge inequality that exists between Indigenous and Non-indigenous Australians and that throwing money isn't enough to solve the problems currently facing Indigenous Australians. Most of all, standing here today, it shows how much history Canberra has had in a short space of time. So with this, I truly hope things improve in the future. #canberra #nrw2014 #wearesorry #Mabo #Australia #letswalkthetalk (at Australian War Memorial Canberra)
