I tried the same seed on “continents” and it did not generate the same way. Also, on one generation, my island spawned a crashed meteor. When I recreated the save file, it was gone. My island has two greenheart trees, two beautiful lagoons, and date palm trees.
To reach the island, fly/swim to the east and slightly south from spawn. It is very close to the main land mass.
To help myself relax, I spent some time working on my first experiment with a more naturalistic building style in Minecraft.
Working on a Teldrassil-inspired design of a house built into/out of a tall tree, I was happy to take on the challenge of blending normal trees in with my own hand-crafted shapes for the main tree, its roots, and places to conceal the redstone for the lanterns. All of it together, from the shaping of the tree, the blending, and furnishing the different rooms, was really fun and I managed to get it all done in one afternoon, over just two sittings.
I’ll probably be working on some more natural-style builds the next time I look to take a break from some of my other work.
Look at this shit! This is opal from the GeoStrata mod! The color changes depending on the coordinates it’s placed at. So when you build with it, this is the result. *heavy breathing*
Three of my bee sanctuaries, plus a field of sunflowers, and my newest method of mining that disrupts as little of the surface as possible--a quarry underwater!
FTB Infinity 1.7, featuring Steve’s Workshop and IndustrialCraft 2. They may look like little more than a few crafting tables and some chests, but I built a system where both tables on the left pull from one chest. I can drop all of my resources for crafting a solar panel into that center chest, and the machine does it all for me.
