This art is a declaration of love for oneshinyapple's story “Built To Fall Apart (and Back Together)”

I have to say, it's hard to find the words to describe the emotions her work evoked in me. Everyone who reads fanfics has one such fic that you can't forget, right? Big, dramatic, with wonderfully and canonically written characters? With a plot you couldn't even imagine? Where there are your favorite tropes? Has everything you need and more?

This one is exactly like that, and it's also written about SpideyTorch, a very underrated OTP that I originally wouldn't even dream of finding anything worthwhile on.

If you love Spideytorch, but skipped "Built To Fall Apart" because it's not finished…. trust me, it's worth your time.

OSApple created their universe based on canon. There are familiar characters and situations, but some things happened differently. The author took the story where it needed to go. And then…. introduced another Johnny and Peter from the 616 universe!

It was such a magnificent audacity, I still can't believe it. Their appearance was for me like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appearing in the movie "No Way Home".

My draw certainly can't tell and convey everything that's in this fic. But I hope it will please you, dear Oneshinyapple.

Can you show which moments from the Fantastic Four comics in which Johnny Storm has displayed some intelligence?

Johnny, contrary to most people’s opinion, is actually very intelligent! When you put him side-by-side with the likes of Val, Reed, Sue, or Peter Parker, of course he doesn’t seem all that bright, but on his own? He can be very smart. His problem is more that he doesn’t apply himself than a lack of intelligence. The thing I see people missing about Johnny the most often is that his overconfident, dumb blond playboy act is exactly that: an act. It’s important to realize that what Johnny says about himself in front of public, the press, people he doesn’t know too well, etc., is very different from what he actually thinks about himself, which is mostly that he’s useless, a loser, etc.

It’s canon that he’s very intelligent — in Fantastic Four v1 #351, when the FF are all put through a series of tests by two cosmic beings, Kosmos and Kubic, Johnny’s powers are suppressed and he is left to figure out a way out that doesn’t involve using his powers, and so he thinks his way out.

Kosmos and Kubic are impressed with Johnny’s intelligence, to the point that they determine at the end that he has a “powerful intellect” although he is so impulsive that he rarely uses it:

actually i think marvel needs to realize that most rdj stans want him to stay the fuck away from the mcu especially when it’s being helmed by the clown brigade (russos and m&m)

The fact that theyre doing this after tony is dead just shows the extent of the homophobia in the mcu. They know if they put Dr. Doom in universe while tony was alive their sexual tension would destroy the planet.

Guys I think I finally cracked the code on why egghead Sanji is hitting so hard for all of us. I think this is the first time since the timeskip he's giving full on pre ts/pre thriller bark Sanji vibes. It's a true return to form. Oda really said let's bring back the classics.
