Now what? After 3 weeks of protests and educating ourselves and educating others, how do we keep the momentum going for this civil rights movement? How do we make permanent change?
BTS Announces Release Date For “Love Yourself: Answer”
BTS has revealed when they’ll be sharing their next release!
On July 17 at midnight KST, BTS announced via their fan cafe that “Love Yourself: Answer” is due out on August 24. Pre-orders will begin on July 18, with more information on the album’s release to follow.
BTS previously began their “Love Yourself” series with their mini album “Love Yourself: Her” in 2017, before releasing the album “Love Yourself: Tear” this year. They have also shared a video entitled “Euphoria: Theme of Love Yourself: Wonder,” which features a solo song by Jungkook.
The group will be starting their “Love Yourself” world tour on August 25 and 26 in Seoul before performing at stops in the United States, Canada, and Europe. More dates are to be announced later on.
While a news report on July 14 stated that this new release by BTS will be a special album containing two to three additional songs and the group will not be promoting it on music shows, there has been no official response yet.
Stay tuned for more details about BTS’s “Love Yourself: Answer”!
remember when in the past bts used to love their interactions with fans, whether it be in the streets or in airports? their faces were always so bright and happy
remember when bts was still given space to lead lives with at least a bit of privacy? when fans didn’t chase them to hotels or they could film stuff without having to rent and board the entire place up?
remember when being an army was looked down upon but it was worth it because even though we were small and there were so many haters, we still felt so tight knit and supported and loved by eachother and the artist we loved?
i can’t, i can barely remember it anymore. And that’s so sad.
there is a very thin line between support and obsesssion, and many have confused and skewed it. check yourselves. they deserve respect and space, over anything.
“We went through a lot since we debuted, and there were people who said that we wouldn’t make it. Thank you for believing in us until the end.”
(Kim Namjoon, 2016, Asian Artist Awards - BTS as “Artist of the Year”)
do u ever think about how ly:her was about the good parts of love but everything in the associated mv’s were like cgi and fantasy-like whereas in ly:tear the theme is the separation part of love and all the effects in the mv’s were practical and not computer generated?? i feel like they’re telling me that the good parts of love aren’t real and they’re fabricated while the bad parts are the reality of it…….
BTS are probably going to chart at like 85 on the hot 100 or not at all. our sales for fake love are nowhere near mic drop. Mic drop was #1 for 3 days on itunes. Fake love was never #1, was 2 for a day and fell off to #10. Please considering buying a 1.29 song, if you cant afford and live in the US. There are armys on twitter willing to give you money to help us.
This may come off as rude, so I want to give you a warning before you read this. I honestly do not care about record-setting and yes this is a personal opinion that I am allowed to have. Recently all people talk about is setting new records—pestering other fans to streams, use hashtags in all their tweets, reply obnoxiously on random BTS tweets to promote voting, and make fans feel bad if they cannot do all these things. BTS doesn’t make music to win awards. They make music because its their job and their dream. While I love seeing fans support BTS from wherever they are in the world, there is no need to guilt trip people just because we might not set a new record? There is no rule saying we need to break a record with each comeback. And honestly, even if he don’t make Hot 100 this time around, BTS has broken so many records with YouTube views and pre-order sales alone~ They are so proud of this album and what music they have put out into the world. We should be proud of what we achieve rather than guilting people to feel bad if we aren’t always #1. I’m not saying we shouldn’t vote or support, but please don’t send messages like these anymore. It honestly takes the fun out of being a fan when people nitpick at all the technicalities and set up what a “fan” should do. We are all just here because we love them, right? For your information, I have bought eight copies of the album, purchased the album on iTunes, Melon, and stream the songs on iTunes and Melon everyday. However these actions were not to break records but just to support the group that I love. - Kylie
