As the saying goes, it’s all down hill from here- which doesn’t always mean something negative, and very much the opposite in this case. The momentum is picking up, and we’re still very much unpacking. I don’t think…. I don’t feel like everyone understands how much goes into a day, when you’re working and settling in, when you have children and fur children, when you have obligations… and you also miss your Nintendo switch, but can’t give it the peaceful headspace to curl up with it. I sound like one of two things, depending on your view- I’m either complaining or venting. I’m venting. I’m sharing. Anywhats! I’m excited to get back into art and I’m excited about fall! My new job is fantastic and where I want to be. My circle is supportive and fun and positive! The boys are really happy, and the cats? They’re having a good time too. Now I’m babbling lol. If you’ve read this far, thanks a bunch. I’m really grateful for all of you who have been patient and understanding and positive and caring! I wish everyone the best and most beautiful day! Summer 2021 is kinda awesome, ngl. I’ll jump right into it- last Saturday evening, I took a misstep and fast forward, my doctor and I believe I have torn ligaments in my calf. I’ve been elevating, icing, hobbling, resting and was blessed with a tens unit by a dear friend ♥️ Doc says I should be ready to rumble within a month and half, his exact date referenced was “by the 27th... by the 27th you should feel a bit better”. If you’re asking yourself “well, how could he know that?”, the answer is obvi: he’s a secret witch doctor; a seer of course and as much as I’d like to argue it, I think he’s onto something. Plus, there’s the ultrasound I’ll be getting, so that’s pretty legit. Anyways, I lost direction for a sec. Forgiveth. I’m still working on projects on paper (and fabric) but am limited to what I can do, as recovery is my main focus. Next week is the big shoot for the epic #OpenHouse short film, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the finished project! And when not idealizing projects (hint: gnomies?? Demon bbs and moons?) and script reading, I’m farming in Stardew Valley (along with the usual cats home life family stuff). Transitioning back into a routine after a break has always been especially difficult for me mentally. I have always been a person who thrives on a routine, so when said routine is interrupted and altered, adjusting can take me longer than usual. I typically beat myself up over it, like “hurry up, michelle! Catch up!” BUT I will not do that this week. I will take it in steps, and accept it and be okay with it. I’m not lazy, I’m not selfish. It’s like double Dutch in the school yard- knowing the right timing of when to jump in. With that said, I’d also like to share that masks are still necessary and still being made to order! I have some really cute heart fabrics in anticipation of February and am taking orders again :) So, dm me for any inquiries! I’ve been taking it way easy the last few days, spending time watching the new twilight zone and classic start trek next gen movies. I’ve been playing Skyrim and staring out the window. I’ve been petting cats and drinking cider. It’s been pretty intense and I’m about that life lol.
