Write $99 instead of $100 in Menu
Have you ever noticed that mostly companies uses  $99 instead of $100 in their Menu card? If not then let me tell you that why to  Write $99 instead of $100 in Menu card. Basically there is science behind this technique that when ever you write $99 instead of $100 then it will look cheaper than 100. Basically this technique is used to deceive our mind. There is not a huge different between 99 and 100 but is you see psychologically then there is huge different between 99 and hundred. So, in the below side, I’ll tell you why should you write 99 instead of 100 in your menu card.
Tumblr media
When a person checks Menu Prices he always focus on lowers prices. Restaurants uses this technique to deceive customers that they write 999 instead of 1000 so that customer order their food by thinking that he/ she will pay less. There are several reasons that we have discussed in the below side.
Number Game:
The first thing that you must notice is that some numbers are harsh while others are cool. For example when you use odd numbers than there are great chances of sales. Owners uses 99 instead of 100 to make it look cheaper for customers.
Left To right:
People always check prices from left to right. When they see a price they always read left to right. The first left letter attracts the most and people ignore all right numbers. So, when you write 4.99 instead of 5 then it will pursue customers that 4 is looking cheaper than 5.
3 numbers are cheaper than 4 numbers:
When you write 999 instead of 1000 then it become 3 numbers instead of 4 digit numbers. So, technically, when a buyer see that the price is 3 digit than he/ she thinks that it is cheaper than 4 digit numbers which is 1000 in this case. No matter how small the difference is, it still works a lot.
Next time you must  Write $99 instead of $100 in Menu to look your food cheaper. Further, it will help you to get more sales in your restaurants.
