Well, these two seem to have potential. One drinks water, another drinks tea. My two favourite drinks. 💙

VC Games Statement on AI-Generated Images
Since it's a big topic on the internet, I wanted to make a statement as a company owner on the use of AI-generated art.
We believe in human artists at Velvet Cupcake Games. As I am not, myself, a visual artist, I deeply value the freelancers who work with us. They are incredibly talented and have worked very hard on their skills. Their imagination and passion is an integral part of our project, and it's something that I don't believe any machine learning algorithm could ever duplicate.
Made by @arrapso!
Made Marion uses very few art assets that haven't been commissioned for or licensed directly for use on the project. The very few free assets I use are specifically available for free use in commercial products and have still been created by actual humans.
I will not use AI-generated art of any kind as long as the current status quo of unethically obtained learning sets stands. Even with a theoretical "ethical" AI art engine in the future, I don't see myself using AI art in any major way. I want our art to have a human soul.
(Old) sprites by arrapso, background by Sandra, UI by Laura, dove cut-in by @lawrichai, music by Alexander Nakarada.
This applies to AI-generated writing, as well.

i dont know what an NFT is and im too afraid to ask
#info#best explanation of NFTs#Did you know you can commission your fav artist to draw you something and if you pay them enough - get a life-time licence for it?#Licensing art is a thing.#Owning full commercial rights to a digital artwork is a thing.#It just costs more.#Regular commissions are for your personal use only.#But you can always ask for a commercial commission and specify the time for which you want to buy it.#And if you pay an artist a million dollars - they might be willing to give you all commercial rights to an artwork forever.#A contract like that is protected by a country's laws.#Which means it will last until said country exists.#It is what some people think NFTs are.#And actually helps the artist.#And you can resell the artwork if you include that part in the licence.#It's just a matter of how you write the contract with your artist and what they agree to.

Hello. It’s the last day to support our campaign on Kickstarter, if you’ve missed it. “SacriFire” is an upcoming 2D/3D pixelart RPG, with fun combat and interesting story. And some cute lizardcats in it. Please check it out. Thank you. ♥
PS. I’m doing the portraits and most of the promo arts for it. :’D <3
