"Skill Issue."
Steph, Babs and Barda crack up in the background.
Sick Cass who only agrees to stay in bc she gets to man comms
Bruce: *fighting*
Cass with the sorest throat: I wouldn't have done that
It's her favourite sick activity. Just reviewing his fights in real time and going "You missed an opening. Too slow. He's going to attack you get ready. Wow your reaction time has gotten worse. Move or you'll get stabbed. Oh the kids are safe by the way they ran away while you were failing to win against this scrub."
Bruce, through gritted teeth while seething with rage: This is good. This is important. I need to know my weaknesses so I can squash them.
Cass: Took you two minutes. I would have done it in ten seconds with that leg sweep you missed the chance to do.
Bruce: Thank you Batgirl.
Cass: I think your joint pain is slowing you down. Can you bend your knees properly or do they crack with age?
Bruce:... I think I need radio silence to concentrate for a minute.
Cass: Brain is slowing down too if you can't multitask anymore. Sad.
Bruce: You know what let's see if there's anyone else for me to punch. I need that right now.

I really feel like more shows should replicate RWBY's story structure. Having that big stretch of mostly relatively low stakes adventures with a comfortable status quo to start off with that spends its time solely on establishing characters and growing relationships before just wholesale blowing it all straight to hell and catapulting the very well developed cast we are now fully invested in off into this massive epic war to save humanity is honestly just so brilliant. I would contest that that's always been the real key to RWBY's success. Course it could never happen again nowadays with every new series needing to break ratings records within six femtoseconds of dropping to ever have a chance to make it past episode 8. Can't afford the luxury of taking the time establishing characters or a status quo at all these days so desperate are we to cling to the audience's immediate attention and nothing else, much less spending three entire seasons on it.

Something about how Rhodes introduces himself to Cinder by throwing down his weapons to show her he means no harm and then years later the moment that finally truly sends her down the path to becoming a monster is when she looks to him for protection and instead he draws his weapons on her.

people will really gleefully point out that the trans woman they disagree with online is "white". this isn't even a one time event it's a phenomenon I've been seeing lately, mostly done by other white people too.
i want y'all to understand this is misogyny, especially when the white trans woman you are demonizing isn't even talking about race related issues but rather her systemic oppression she faces as a woman, a TRANS woman at that.
if you really cared about POC queers especially black trans women, then include them in your spaces and give them comfort and love rather than weaponizing POC'S identity to be misogynistic/transmisogynistic.

Thank you Derek, menswear guide, for reminding me why paying more to be free advertising for brands is dumb.

proposal: give Kate Kane to Marguerite Bennett, let Greg Rucka fix Renee Montoya and Helena Bertinelli again, give Kelly Thompson Wonder Woman, and then restart Sensation Comics up with Rucka and Phil Jimenez co-writing

I like that they commit to making Ironwood genuinely quite likeable. It makes his inevitable downfall actually sting. Like sure he was always complicated and untrustworthy but he clearly meant well. He actually treats the main characters with respect, he's endearingly awkward, he fights to protect everyone at Beacon, he takes a lot of criticism on the chin, he entrusts the Lamp to Ruby, he's one of the only people who actually stands up for Weiss against Jacques and he eventually even makes the right decision vis a vis trusting Robyn with the truth. Basically they never treated him like he's just an obvious heel turn waiting to happen even though he kind of always was.

A reminder: The average right-wing transphobe (but I repeat myself) would crumble into dust dealing with the kind of abuse the average trans woman encounters online in a single day.
We might not be plentiful but we are resilient and we are mighty.

"Okay, what've I got this time... Energy absorption, super speed,oh, this one bypassings region locking on blu-rays, nice..."
Sure, psychic powers. Wouldn't be a new Metroid game if Samus wasn't getting her biology potched around with.
