Leeds 28.04.18 I didn’t post any of these photos after the gig and when I heard about Scott going missing and then the tragic news that he had taken his own life it was hard to go back to finish off editing them. I thought it appropriate to post now though in sight of it being #mentalhealthawarenessweek and also for people who was at the gig to look back and remember what an amazing night it was. This was the first time I’d seen him perform in any capacity and I’m glad to say that I managed to experience it in all its glory. Lychee Red Chinese Seniors Project. Beeston, Leeds 2017. Lychee Red connects Chinese seniors around food and culture. A weekly luncheon club, games, fun activities and regular outings allow people to connect over common interests and a common language.  A team of volunteers from local Chinese communities are available to befriend and support some of the most isolated and vulnerable people around the city, greeting them with open arms and a smile that says, “Come dine with me.” One member said that coming to the group gives him more confidence, helps him sleep better at night, and makes him feel generally happier overall. Time to Shine is managed by Leeds Older People’s Forum (LOPF) and funded by Big Lottery Fund’s Ageing Better programme to reduce social isolation and loneliness amongst people over 50.
