I thought I would never post here again. Maybe you guys thought you'd never hear from me again as well. But surprise! I'm alive, but I'm just back to say goodbye.

Things are drastically different from when I last posted here. I'll have to private that post because it's kind of embarrassing to look back on. I might have to private a few posts as well...

I don't plan to continue on translating more doujins, and unfortunately, all future projects I had are gone forever since I lost those files. Even so, this doujin is the one thing I couldn't give up on, so I worked on it back from scratch. I was apprehensive to start, but when I started working on it, it just came naturally to me. This doujin is close to my heart, so I hope I can leave this translation as a love letter for everything I love in this blog and for everything Saiou. (Bless you medamayaki.)

It's not much, but I think I left something for the Danganronpa and Saiou fandom. I hope you remember me as the one who translated some angsty saiou (and other angsty original doujins) during the 2020 pandemic.

I'll (tentatively?) keep my blog and download links up. Once and for all, thank you for reading my translations. I hope I wasn't boring.

so, after two years, I thought I was strong enough to deal with the angst I’ve been hearing from this series..... Nope. It took me a few weeks to finish the anime... and it took me a whole day to swim in my tears before I translated this to cope while listening to RED... which just brought extra pain.

a lot of the djs I read somehow go angsty like canon??? like bruh. i came here to read saiou but gee thanks for hurting me anyway! (I’m exaggerating, this story isn’t exactly heartbreaking considering canon, it is actually pretty bittersweet) I end up going to ao3 to indulge in actual fluff (shoutout to all authors who make kokichi alive and happy! yall are the best)

(shsl in its entirety is just too long to put in speech bubbles lol) I feel like my typesetting in this one feels particularly bad (the placement of the text I mean) but uhh hopefully it’s not too distracting. _(:3J

I like shota and BL and supernatural or sad themes, but if the art is pretty enough I'll read anything, so really I'll take whatever you can think of!

I’d like to recommend Yoshino Sora’s and Tanakamori Yokota’s works (like this one) though I don’t think many of their works are translated yet, sadly. I’d rec Shinachiku’s too (and thankfully a lot of their works are tl’ed), though you probably already heard about them..

I could’ve come up with more, but I haven’t been reading much lately... :(

This is non-ship for once, a friendly Gen rating for everyone (jk it’s T for swearing and canon-typical violence). The story is centered on pregame ouma. Dice members appear as well (though probably not as what you’d expect). I’ve read several fics, but this characterization of pregame ouma is one that stands out to me and one that I particularly like.

I just love medamayaki’s art and writing so much!! So expect me to post more ndrv3 from them (I’ve got 2 others about the same length as this and one about 80 pages).

PART 1

Here’s the second and last part of this doujinshi! Once again, it’s really long. And this is the part where the plot fully plays out, so there are a lot of meaningful scenes in it.

I had originally made a sort-of analysis post, but even though I tried to present clues and evidences, it was too all over the place and I just couldn’t put it all together to come to a nice conclusion. So I decided against posting it. There’s the author’s explanations at the end as well as a few of my own, so you can check those out too. All in all, even I’m not confident I fully/correctly understood the story, so discussions are welcome!

Also, thank you to takaguiuk who replied to me last time! (I don’t know how replying in tumblr works sorry) Yep this story doesn’t end in a happy note... It’s really bittersweet and I love that. Don’t worry though, I’ll be translating more DRV3. (and a few might not be that depressing.)

I translated a short comic from Medamayaki!
