Everyone’s always saying that older siblings have it harder, and that the younger ones are spoiled etc., but no one ever talks about older siblings being bossy, acting like they know everything, and using the younger as servants.

And when we try to stand up for ourselves, they slap us.

When plotting a story, do you ever find yourself being dragged by the plot somewhere else than you intended? Like there’s too many problems and you don’t know how to solve them? Or everything is falling apart and you don’t know how to solve it, but you want to?

ok but I really hate the argument people make that Rose didn’t know Jack for a long time and so because of this, she couldn’t possibly be that impacted by her short lived relationship with him. I just find this to be extremely stupid? At this point in her life, Jack is probably the only person she had ever met who seemed to actually understand her and value her as a HUMAN. Not only that, but not once does Jack ever demand anything from her. He never actually asks her for anything. Also, her and Jack experienced more shit together in a few days than most couples would in their entire life times. Like a couple could be married for 30 years and never experience what Rose and Jack did, so the argument of time is silly to me.

Jack literally gifts her her LIFE! He gives her agency to do what she actually wants to do. She doesn’t need Jack to save her, and she literally tells him ���It’s not up to you to save me, Jack.” and he says, “You’re right. Only you can do that.”

And like, regardless of how long you’ve known a person, the events of the film would absolutely be traumatic and unforgettable. Jack doesn’t just die off camera….. he literally dies right next to her, right in front of her…. He is HOLDING onto her hand. He is literally frozen to her. She has to physically break their hands apart because he is frozen to her in order for her to get to that whistle. Can you imagine how deeply traumatic that would be to experience something like that? It isn’t just that he dies. It’s HOW he dies that is even more upsetting. It’s how he dies holding onto her and what he says to her before his death that clearly sticks with her throughout the rest of her life. Like don’t tell me that if you were her that that whole experience, specifically his death, wouldn’t continue to essentially haunt you for the rest of your life, because it definitely would.
