Ok, first of all, I want to apologize for the ATROCITY that you’re about to see. So, I love Nendoroids, and every now and then I like to think about what Nendoroid I’d love to see from Good Smile Company. I’ve recently become “obsessed” with the idea of ​​how cool it’d be to get a Nendoroid of Malon, a character from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They’ve already released Nendoroids of Link and Zelda from Breath of the Wild and Wind Waker, but from Majora’s Mask they’ve only released Link… and I think it'd be great if they released a female character, but not specifically Zelda, because, to tell you the truth, I don’t like so much her design in OoT lol (when she’s a child, I mean) but also I think that a red-haired Nendoroid from the Legend of Zelda saga would be something innovative. Also, I’d like to get Malon because she owns Epona (that’s right, the Nendoroid would come with a horse) and there’s a lot of the fandom that ships Link with Malon (I do that too lol) so it’d be great to see them together in their Nendoroid version.

I’ve taken the Nendoroid model of the Link from Majora’s Mask and I’ve “transformed” it (yes, with Paint, don’t judge me, I don’t know how to use other programs) so this is how I think a Malon’s Nendoroid should look (in case GSC decided to do it).

What do you think of the idea? Would you like to see a Nendoroid of Malon? Or what other characters of the Zelda’s saga would you like to see in their chibi version?

I’ve always had a big crush on Malon ever since I became a Legend of Zelda fan. Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game, and I fell in love with the world and all its characters instantly. One of my favorite things about this world was Malon, the cute farm girl who loved to sing to her horse, Epona. When Link met her again 7 years later, she had become a beautiful, young woman. Epona grew up too, becoming Link’s loyal steed. I always liked to imagine that if Link never ended up with Zelda, he would return to Malon as her “knight in shining armor”.

Después de haber estado casi 3 años sin traducir un cómic/manga, me dio por traducir el capítulo 169 del manga de Vinland Saga. Verán, terminé hace poco de ver la primera temporada de este anime tan maravilloso, y como el final me dejó con muchas incógnitas y ansias de saber qué iba a pasar, quise empezar a leer el manga, el cual me ENCANTÓ y actualmente voy al día con la historia.

El motivo por el que quise traducir este capítulo fue, básicamente, porque vi que en ninguna otra parte lo habían traducido a nuestro idioma. Sinceramente no es mi intención traducir los capítulos que salgan de ahora en adelante puesto que es una labor ardua y estresante (si lo hace una sola persona y no un equipo que coopere entre sí), pero si en un futuro veo que las traducciones de este gran manga se tardan en llegar, podría volver a hacerlo porque, a pesar de todo, es algo que me gusta hacer en mis tiempos libres.

Me gustaría dejar una cosa clara antes de darles el link de descarga, y es que se me dificultó un poco escoger el pronombre correcto para el personaje de Cordelia (Halvor). Sabemos que biológicamente es un hombre, pero debido a la crianza que le dio su madre, se siente identificada como una mujer. Traté de respetar el pronombre femenino en la mayoría de los casos cuando hablaba de sí misma, aunque hubo ocasiones en las que dudé, puesto que Cordelia, a pesar de sentirse identificada como una mujer, sabe que su apariencia es la de un hombre y por tanto se presenta de esa forma con los demás. Por este motivo, lamento si en algún diálogo utilicé el pronombre incorrecto para referirme a ella, pero fue un poco confuso en ocasiones.

Me siento un poco identificada con esto, aunque reconozco que "no lo intento lo suficiente". Cuando estoy en reuniones sociales rodeada de gente que no conozco, y que solo hablan de temas en los que no encuentro cómo participar porque, o no me interesan, o no tengo idea de qué están hablando, no hago siquiera el "esfuerzo" de preguntar, porque “¿para qué? si de todas formas no voy a tener nada interesante qué aportar”.

Was inspired to try making my own pandan coconut jam (tastes like coconut custard with a hint of vanilla), then sandwiched it between homemade Japanese milk bread before toasting it in brown butter.
