Maple pecan Ice cream, dinner and nowhere boy.

Today is the day I cook a meal for Jamie for the first time. I was so so nervous, I was scared he wouldn't like it or that I would ruin it. Beth and I went up to Hanley so I could get all the ingredients fresh. I decided that I was going to make him some home made ice cream, Maple pecan flavour. It was really simple to make and turned out perfect! The recipe is:

250ml Whole milk 250ml Douple/thick cream 250g caster sugar Mix the sugar and milk, whic the cream till stiff and mix it all up, then you can add whatever you like, chocolate chips, pecans, anything. Simple and delicious! 

For dinner I cooked him Chicken wrapped in bacon and filled with boursin, roasted potato, sweet potato, parsnips  and carrots with garlic and olive oil and steamed green beans, asparagus and fineste, brocolli. I think it was really nice and luckily Jamie did too, I was so happy he enjoyed it, he said it was one of the meals he was thinking of cooking for me! Great minds eh! 

After we ate I made him a hot chocolate and we watched the undatables with Kaye and Beth, it was a nice cosy evening, Kaye went to bed and Jamie, Beth and I watched nowhere boy, about John Lennon, I'd seen part of it before and quite enjoyed it but Jamie hadn't seen it. to his surprise he enjoyed the film which Im glad about. Its a really good film, I love it. Beth went home after and Jamie and I cuddled up and started series 2 of game of thrones.

Toilets, noses and Photographs.

22nd - Again a nice quiet day but as I do every wednesday I went out to the LRV for gobble. Beth and I got ready together and went over to Jamie's for pre drinks. I worry that I'm going to overdose them on me but I think I'm not too annoying. Well, I hope I'm not! 

I love the LRV, I really like all the people I meet. It wasnt the best night, I got hit in the nose by some random drunk boy in the toilets ad got in a right grump. Jamie came and cheered me up and Beth made sure I was alright.

Jamie pulled me over and we had a photo together, I love it when he wants pictures of the two of us, it makes me feel wanted, I'm not used to that, it makes me so happy. I love our photos, he always looks so nice! One day I'm going to look pretty in one!

A lovely quiet day

21st - Saw Jamie in the morning, he had lectures early. Half of me is glad I'm only in one day a week, but its so boring sometimes! It was a pretty quiet day, I went up to Hanley for a walk and to get some bits and bobs and spent a little time with my housemates in the evening. A lovely quiet day.

Heroin, grapes and cuddles

20th - Beth came over and we did some shopping up in Hanley then made dinner together, we made chicken in a bag with veg as she loves to call it! It was really nice actually, very tasty! I should eat healthy more often.

After we ate and beth done some work on my laptop went over and had a film night with Jamie, Sam and James, we brought over some snacks, chopped carrots, apples and grapes, so yum! We watched Trainspotting, I loved the film, it was great, very powerful, its definitely put me off becoming a Heroin addict when I'm older, not that that's a job but you know what I mean. Beth left early as she was in a bit of a bad mood and I stayed and hang out and chatted for a while. I really love spending time with Jamie's house mates, I still feel like the friends girlfriend rather than a friend but I think that will change as we get to know each other better.

A boring day

19th - Spent the morning and early afternoon chatting with Jamie and Jade. She is a really lovely girl, I think we got on well, she is so nice and very lively. It was a very quiet lazy day, not much happened, I went home and just rested from the busy weekend.

The House party, Vodka and good company

18th - It was a quiet day, saw Jamie for a few hours then I got ready for the night out. Jamie, Sam, Jade, James, Johny and I met Beth and Zoe to go to a house party for Matt's Birthday. Beth and Zoe were our ticket in, I know the guys well but none of the others did so we needed to go in with them.

As soon as we got there Sam, Jamie, Johny and Jade felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave so literally after a minute we just walked out! Usually house parties at their house are really good but I think it was odd because not ever one was there and it was Matt's friends too.

We went back to theirs for a while and chilled with a few drinks, played a few games and then went up to Hanley to have a few drinks at Revs. It was a lovely quiet evening and I loved getting to know Jade better, she is lovely and Her and Sam really like each other. I got her in the toilets and asked how things were going, its looking well, I told Jamie and he asked me to get Jade back in the toilets so that he could tell Sam. Its cute boys get excited in the same way girls do.

Listeria, malaria and Influenza

17th - EXAM DAY! I woke up later than I wanted but I felt surprisingly good and went straight into cramming, typical me I'd left Malaria and Influenza (The biggest and most important diseases) till today to learn but I got it all pretty easily and was feeling confident.

The exam went really well! I took in a big drink so towards the end I lost my focus because I was desperate to go to the lavatory! I was pretty annoyed that It distracted me but I think that most of the exam went really well, I was happy that all my strong topics came up. Overall I think it went really really well.

That night lots of us went out to Hanley and had an interesting night. I made a new friend or two and we went to the new place, it was a really hectic night but enjoyable.

Preparation, Pianos and porn

16th - The day before the exam! These are usually the worst days, where you realise how little you know and how impossible it will be for you to get a good grade. Usually, but not today, I was so prepared, more than I usually am, I was pretty impressed with myself.

I was still pretty much crapping myself, its just the pre exam stress but I had prepared well so I didn't really have much reason to worry. I worked hard most of the day but got in a grump and at around 1 in the morning so I quit my revision for the night and I went over to Dave's to hang out with him and Sam. We messed around looking at funny porn blogs on tumblr and talking about people we know.

They helped me revise a little more and we had a nice evening, Sam offered me his Piano to practice on which was nice, I really need to practice more!

Of Manifestos

15th - A quiet day, Beth came round for a while which was nice and we did some revision together, I was feeling pretty confident so I didn't revise too much. Later on Stephen came over and I wrote his manifestos for the BioSoc elections. I hope he can be on the committee, I think he will enjoy it. We had a little catch up which was nice.

I'm a little concerned about the outcome of the elections, there are some individuals that would really not be suitable, especially given their track record but as long as their focus is on the Society im happy to let the past stay in the past. I just want this to be a really good year for the BioSoc!

Harry Potter, Ja'mie and not enough revision

It was so nice having breakfast with Jamie, the house was a mess so I felt embarrassed but it was lovely having him here and enjoying some crunchy nut cornflakes. We went to his to do some revision with Beth and Sam. The 3 of them all have the same exam so wanted to prepare together. 

Not much revision was done really, lots of jelly beans were eaten and it wasn't long before we gave up to watch Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows! Beth cried a few times, and I got a little upset at the Snape and lilly bit. Jamie and I cuddled up under the blanket his nan knitted him, I think the best way to watch a film is with a cuddle. 

We went to spa to buy dinner and some very undeserved revision treats and I bumped into Kane! Said a little hello and mocked his posh voice, I forget how middle class he is sometimes.

We did a little more revision and the topic of Ja'mie private school girl came up, and that was it, no more revision was going to get done. We decided we needed to introduce Sam to the programme so we loaded a video, but first the hair!

Beth has extensions and I don't know how it happened but it was decided that Jamie should try them on, it was so funny, he pretended to hate it but secretly loved it, he was swishing his new hair and looking in the mirror and even planning a hairstyle. It was so funny how much he was into it, he looked so much like skrillex! Sam had his turn next and looked scarily good with long hair! I think he loved it too.

We watched JPSG and it was great! Sam and Jamie were laughing their heads off and want to make a drinking game out of it!

It was a great evening, before I went to sleep I watched a few episodes of game of thrones, I think I'm an addict.

England, Ja'mie and Game of Thrones

I missed my first 3 trains and was so pissed off so I took Mum to lunch at wethers. I managed to get my 4th train and made it to Stoke at half three. I went home and caught up with kaye and unpacked, she gave me some of her old clothes, so I was in a pretty good mood!

I went to the library to catch up with Beth, Zoe and Stephen and write a few letters. It was nice catching up, Beth now has purple hair and a new piercing!

I went home and Jamie came over and we both went to Beth’s to hang out with Beth, Zoe, Matt and James. We watched Ja’mie private school girl, Jamie didn’t like it, but Matt and James got really into it!

Jamie and I went back to mine and had a cuddle game of thrones night, it was such a lovely evening. I love game of thrones, so far I like Ned and arryia stark, the king and John snow, but I’m still on the first series so have a lot to catch up on!

All in all a great day, I loved seeing everybody.

Last day in Wales, the mutant nephew and the Chinese allergy

Today was a pretty good day. I went for a walk along the coast (obviously it was a gorgeous day as I’m going to England tomorrow) and stumbled upon a race, there were lots of runners from all across the country, it was pretty cool. I liked watching them finish because they all got a big bag of chocolate each.

I did a little revision, loving legionella at the minute, there was an outbreak in the playboy mansion! In the evening I was babysitting my nephew Josh with Mum, he Is so energetic its crazy. We watched monsters university then X-Men origins where he proceeded to tell me in great detail how he is a mutant. He then told me that if I was a mutant I’d be antgirl and have the ability to go very small, craw up people’s noses, get into their brain and read their minds.

I like this.

Anyway, it was fun with him, there was a little freak out incident with a spider but all in all a lovely evening. After I put him to bed I then went to dad’s to spend time with him and Dom. We got Chinese for dinner and watched some Simpsons episodes. Then came the burning. I felt really hot and my face was red and on fire, I felt like I wanted to be sick and my throat felt fat. I had an allergic reaction to my Chinese! I looked a mess, it was the worst I’ve felt in a long time.

I had a few nice texts from Jamie, he was talking to his Housemates about me and my love of metallica, he likes them a little too!

The memory jar - Ryan is a ugly little caveman

This evening I was going through some old stuff after Mum went to bed and I found a memory jar. Well, a memory wine bottle.

I poured out all the tiny hand written notes and started to read the things that 12 year old me thought about.

It was a little odd, here are a fee of my personal favourites:

Its nice to see I was a deep thinker.  . . Not. I don’t really know what to make of this. There were a lot of thoughts on jellyfish and a few quotes from cartoons.
