Strahd nervously adjusted the lace at his chest and tried to take a deep breath.

The disguise was holding perfectly, but he secretly wished there was something that made it look a little less uncanny. As he stared ahead at the reflection in the glass, his baby brother’s features stared right back at him: The unruly curl in his hair; The small freckle beneath his eye (Just like their mother’s)…

The eyes were his though. They��d always had the exact same eyes.

And the same nose…

Blood flashed in his mind and his heart raced—or at least the memory of that feeling. He hurriedly looked away and gritted his teeth, ‘Don’t. Don’t think about it.’

Perhaps he was wrong. Maybe this wasn’t the best disguise.

But it was Sergei. And everyone loved Sergei.

In a moment, the spell faded, and he looked in the window to see himself again: Pale, discolored skin; Fiery red eyes.

They used to have the same eyes…

‘How long has it been now?

Footsteps suddenly rose up behind him and he rushed the disguise again. He didn’t have time to check himself in the makeshift mirror, but he trusted his magic enough to at least be able to walk down the alleyway.

As he turned, he had to catch himself as he nearly ran into a woman coming from the opposite direction.

“Oh! Excuse me! I’m so sorry!” She quickly stepped back and lowered the book she had been reading.

“Quite alright. My fault, really.”

As he turned to go back to the castle, Strahd caught a glimpse of himself in the dusty window.

‘That’s not right.’

In his hurry, the spell didn’t fully take. He must have stumbled over the incantation in his head and gotten it wrong.

The hair was right.

‘No, wait.’

There was no curl, and his grays showed through.

The freckle was right, and his skin was no longer purple or discolored. But he looked… older. Well, older than Sergei would have been.

‘Should have been…’

Strahd turned away, shaking his head, and tried to ignore the tears threatening to fall.

Oh and btw we decided that cloak of protection can change shapes so... I generally worked with Anthe's designs. And she got charmed. And bitten. And she's in so much stress that she's starting to go grey.

And I worked with her hair more... And she'll get a hair piece from Kasimir. In return for the ear piece she's gonna give him. Which is gonna be a thank you gift for him helping her embrace magic.

Maybe I should just actually post more often instead of dumping it like that...

There's been some development regarding Anthe's abilities — one of them was getting the Gift of the Metallic Dragon feat. With... A little twist of it not being metallic, but solar, as dragons of astral elves are.

There's also been... A situation. Baron's spy pressed the pointy side of the knife at her stomach hoping to get away after being noticed, but long story short, he failed. He also passed an 'invitation' to meet with the baron. The uncovered torso with stitched wound is a power play.

But while at it, since she's level 5 now, I decided to upgrade her outfit to get more... Barovian.

The baby herself, with a tad longer hair. Her hair stays a tad longer with each transformation into her werewolf form, so that's the current state - and pretty much the look for Strahd's dinner. But alas, for now, this is the look she has for Ismark, as he stitches her after her meeting with a knife.

Sketched at work, fixed up at home. Last session, my Detect Magic turned out wrong; on a 4d6+3 roll for psychic damage, a funny presence rolled a 5 and three 6. Anthe went from 41 to 15 HP in a split second, and it showed with some red spilling. Ismark offered to help, and she declined. She couldn't keep her mask on if she wanted to clean it up, so she took it off. Seeing the results of the damage, Ismark offered his help again... I told my DM to pick the upper or lower half to decide if she agrees. He picked the upper. He rolled nat 20. She straight up said "please" aaaand they got to share a moment. This was also the first time the guy saw her without her mask soooo...

Our cos game has ended and all that jazz, but DM and I were shushing about an AU, where Marik stayed at the Barovia wanting to volunteer in natives life and one day even build an orphanage with the blessing of Chauntea... Just over against the Morning Lord church... I cry from the union-symbolism of this action..... Drew him as in his 90's~, having a fine dilf life rdfghjkjh death of the twink

There is the catch: yes, Strahd still exist, he returned with misty borders and roaring skies. Previously he has chosen Marik to be his consort, then wanted the revenge for his miserable defeat. If Marik weren't a bard, he would've been in absolutely different position, but he pact a deal-competion with him. He invited the count on full-day-date with one condition: no one will try to kill another. It doesn't include torturing, but with bit of cunning mind and luck he made Strahd loose sense of time. Bittersweet taste still on the mouth: price for comfort life, a chance of staying alive and taking care of people in need was so low. Just his freedom…

da boys don't see each other as lovers, nor Marik is Strahd's consort. After all these years living in Barovia he cannot escape anymore, always returned by the mists. They are more like companions, where one tries to fix another's life. And, maybe, partners on the edge of divorce %D

Hi there! So first of all I absolutely did not expect people to like my previous sketches so much, thanks for that! But it also made me realize that no one knows how Anthe looks in her casual fit. She's an astral elf, but also an orphan raised by giffs, so the only way she knows about her heritage is through stories of other people. Thus, her gear is a bit astral-elven, but also not exactly.
