It is so rich (pun intended)... . lav·​ish | \ ˈla-vish \ . 1 : expending or bestowing profusely : PRODIGAL . 2a : expended or produced in abundance b : marked by profusion or excess . I WANT TO LOVE AND BE LOVED THIS WAY. I want to live like I know this. So often we limit the #newyear to what we want to fix, and those things are often external. But that’s not life. Life is what happens on the INSIDE. And HOW HEALTHY & HOLY & POWERFUL & RESTED & PRODUCTIVE WILL I BE IF I AM LIVING LAVISH LOVE FROM WITHIN? I’ll be unstoppable in the Kingdom & in the spiritual realm. AND THOSE ARE THE ONLY LOCATIONS WITH ETERNAL SIGNIFICANCE. Everything else is just a means to the end of glorifying God. . History and Etymology for LAVISH . Middle English laves, lavage, probably from Middle French lavasse, lavache downpour of rain, from laver to wash! . Did you catch that? A downpour of RAIN- remind you of anything? (Read HOLY SPIRIT). And the other origin: TO WASH. To be clean. To remove impurities that attack from WITHOUT. That’s salvation for the unsaved and healing for the rest of us. I WANT MY 2021 to be about that. . Ephesians 1:7-9 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he LAVISHED on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ.” . This year, I want everything LAVISH. EXCESSIVE. I want excessive amounts of holiness, fruit of the spirit, JESUS. I want to love & be loved LAVISHLY. I want excessive grace. Excessive mercy & compassion. LAVISH FAVOR. . I want to abandon selfishness and be excessive in forgiveness and love. The business and my waistline can wait. My soul is more important. . All the other stuff comes through this. See that look in #earthakitt s eyes? That was me the day I got certified several years ago as a life coach with 5 kids in the house & a husband who travelled a ton for his job. Fierce. Savage. Professional. Confident. Solid. . I worked late & got up early in the mornings. Wanna know why? YOU. You are why I worked so hard to get certified. . I was certified by a branch of Liberty University, Light University in 2018, though I had been coaching already for over a decade. . Part of my journey was being the chaplain to the #chicagobears wives for 5 years as a missionary. We walked though the same issues all mothers traverse because motherhood is UNIVERSAL. . And so often are the seasons of motherhood. So why get certified? Because once I realized I was operating in an official profession I knew that in order to continue my practice I needed to make sure I was in alignment with said profession. THIS IS INTEGRITY MAMA. . Honestly, I get nervous sometimes saying I am a #lifecoach . It's not a profession associated with much integrity. I mean, let's face it, anyone can say they are a life coach these days. But I am different. I walk the talk, & I teach what I have lived. After all, I have done 0-13 in parenting FIVE TIMES. That's 5 times mastering babyhood, toddlerhood, preschool, elementary school & middle school. I've done high school 4 times & college twice. . I HAVE CRAZY EXPERIENCE & I KNOW WHAT WORKS! How many mom coaches can say that today? I say all of that to let you know I am the real deal. I know that sounds braggadocious but it is true. Today is #weekendreset !!! This is a page from my #happyplanner !!! Here’s how we normally break down #familychores with each person contributing to the work of the family by completing these tasks, but sometimes (like today) we are breaking up into teams. Each team takes 1 level and then we all do the top level together (bedrooms, bathrooms). ⠀ 🎀⠀ We are blessed to have a very large home that we all thoroughly enjoy, and therefore we must all thoroughly care for. We don’t expect everything on this page to be cleaned from top to bottom. The deeper cleaning I do myself. Some areas (like the garage) is just a wipe down of the desk and general tidy, the library is a quick dry dust. The theater just needs the pillows fluffed and a quick vacuum.⠀ 🎀⠀ On a personal note:⠀ I’m pretty surprised at how personally people take my posts about chores. More than any other topic, this one gets the most backlash (which is funny to me because I clearly believe and post that Jesus Christ is the One True God and the only way to salvation) I’ve even had DMs accusing me of abusing my kids! ⠀ 🎀⠀ So, if this post on chores gets your panties in a bunch, that’s okay! Just know our household has made up our minds (with Bible verses to support) and we’ve done it this way for about 19 years. Sure I made mistakes along the way, and still all 5 of my kids have killer work ethics and healthy life skills. Is this the only way to teach children these traits? Nope. And that’s why each woman must “see well to the ways of HER household.” It’s a personal decision.⠀ 🎀⠀ Feel free to comment or DM, but if your comment is unkind, judgmental, passive aggressive, or nasty it will be deleted and depending on my mood you may be blocked.
