Today is #weekendreset !!! This is a page from my #happyplanner !!! Here’s how we normally break down #familychores with each person contributing to the work of the family by completing these tasks, but sometimes (like today) we are breaking up into teams. Each team takes 1 level and then we all do the top level together (bedrooms, bathrooms). ⠀ 🎀⠀ We are blessed to have a very large home that we all thoroughly enjoy, and therefore we must all thoroughly care for. We don’t expect everything on this page to be cleaned from top to bottom. The deeper cleaning I do myself. Some areas (like the garage) is just a wipe down of the desk and general tidy, the library is a quick dry dust. The theater just needs the pillows fluffed and a quick vacuum.⠀ 🎀⠀ On a personal note:⠀ I’m pretty surprised at how personally people take my posts about chores. More than any other topic, this one gets the most backlash (which is funny to me because I clearly believe and post that Jesus Christ is the One True God and the only way to salvation) I’ve even had DMs accusing me of abusing my kids! ⠀ 🎀⠀ So, if this post on chores gets your panties in a bunch, that’s okay! Just know our household has made up our minds (with Bible verses to support) and we’ve done it this way for about 19 years. Sure I made mistakes along the way, and still all 5 of my kids have killer work ethics and healthy life skills. Is this the only way to teach children these traits? Nope. And that’s why each woman must “see well to the ways of HER household.” It’s a personal decision.⠀ 🎀⠀ Feel free to comment or DM, but if your comment is unkind, judgmental, passive aggressive, or nasty it will be deleted and depending on my mood you may be blocked.
