Crossing Doors in astral travel and dreams
Dream's language is all about symbolism. As I wrote in a previous post, the meaning of a symbol could change from one to another person as we don't came from the same culture, religion, environnement or the same experience.
But there is some things that embody universal symbol and universal purpose. Because objects or actions have the same role, the same purpose in all regions of the world in all past eras.
Doors, for exemple, serve the same purpose as the very first door ever built.
We built walls to protect ourself from danger, and doors to go out, to come inside or to choose who could come in with us.
Doors are strong symbols in dreams and ever your bedroom's door in your dream could bring you far from your home.
Cause doors, as it protect and control our personal space from external dangers, it is entries for other places, environnements and so, other worlds. That why you should always think twice before crossing a door in dream or in astral travel.
Look up for colors, open or shut, existing or not
My family told me when I was young to never cross a red door while wandering.

My first encounter with my spirit guide
Traditionally, our yourg men of the tribe had to stay alone into the forest to meet his spiritual guide (and incidentally survive...).
This was a rite of passage where boys become men.
While they were deep into the forest, the first beast who would come to meet the young boy was not a mere beast, but the animal spirit ready to guide and to teach him.
We no longer let our youngsters get lost alone into the forest for days, but this rite has been perpetuated in the depths of the night, in our sleep, hidden in the thick foliage of our dreams.
In the purpose to meet your own spirit guide today, all you have to do is asking formally.
I did, but for many reasons, a bit late by age.
Even before that, I saw the signs outside the world who was my guide. To met in my dream only confirm it identity:
By a night after a beautiful day, I lay myself into my bed, breathing deepfully and calm down all my toughts.
I visualized that forest I dreamed about before. the one I see or visit regularly in my sleep.
Then with my eyes shut, there I am again and make me walk far away and deep through trees and foliage.
I imagine myself that way until my consciousness slips gently into sleep.
I was told they will show with this exact way. And if it does, understand that this is a special visit. Not everyone is granted of it. If you have this chance, pay attention to everything it says, shows or keeps shut to you.
Here's what visit me that night:
I flew like a bird, high in the treetops along a road. My eyes fixed on the ground, I saw a moose tracks. Through their tracks, I spot another kind: those of wolves. I raise my head, I see in the distance a giant bear, blond in color (not white, not pale brown)... And I head straight on her!
Like a bird, I land on her, close to her neck. Like a child clinging to its mother, I did so to her fur firmly. She carries me quietly and walks towards the city: she was taking me home.
I felt safe. I experienced a strong feeling of joy, deeply moved. It was like finding a mother after a lost for many years.

Seeying people in dreams
People in dream could be a lot of things like people, entities, demons or dieties) visiting.
They could be real and they could be not.
If it's a visit of a real person?
To know, think about 1800's post mortem photos. (If you don't know what it is, I suggest you to research on that before to continue your reading.)
When the person you see is perfectly clear, this person is surely dead.
The more the identity, the body and the face is fixed/clear, this is a clue that the person visiting you in your dream came frome the other side of the veil.
It is usually people from the past that use to know you or, vice-versa, that you used to know.
Sometimes you see a clear face from a person alive. Don't worry, it's usually only someone just wandering around.
How to know if it is a visit from a insidious entities or a demon?
In dream, they cannot hide like they do in diurnal world.
We see them in the form they want us to see them. They can trick us in the innocent form of a child, for example, but their insidious / demonic nature cannot be completely hidden from the dreamer's eye.
They will be surrounded by a dark halo, their image will appear corrupted and may inspire you strong, disturbing emotions such as anger, fear, sadness, panique or extreme stress or anxiety.
Here what to know for demystify them and identify which kind is greating you with their visit.
Then what it is if it's not a real deceased person, a wandering traveler, an entities or a demon?
It could be nothing real. Just your subconscious being creative as it can be.
In that case, it will be your boyfriend who will look like your first love, your favorite actor or even an unknown marvelous adonist... All of that inside a single dream!

Oneiromancy 101
Oneiromancy is one of the oldest forms of personal spirituality. It recalls a time when religion was not a monotheistic, monolithic, patriarchal business. In earlier days, the veil that separated our world from the realm of the goddesses and gods was thin. Our society has created an iron curtain of doubt and spiritual fear between the two spheres. Only the narrowest forms of religious belief and practice are condoned, and we’re expected to place our spiritual practices in the hands of others.
Yet, the surging rebirth of Pagan spirituality (particularly the popularity of god and goddess worship), and the general broadening of human consciousness, are positive signs that more fulfilling religious structures and practices will continue to take their place in human society far into the future.
The age of personal religion has once again arrived. Oneiromancy is one manifestation of the process of removing spirituality from the hands of the experts and placing it where it belongs: in the hearts, minds, and dreams of the worshippers themselves.
Here a list of everything I posted about or related to oneiromancy.

Eating in dreams
For some west african tribes, it ain't good seeing yourself eat while you sleep. That food is poison and the sign that someone is trying to curse you.
The food is this curse, you should not eat it.
Later if you died from that curse, one will know by the poison you'll vomit with your last breath.

Astrological Body Meanings
I often give to my client the emotional and psychological meanings of the physical symptoms that their body manifests. The first time I read in a book the association between the body and the different astrological energies, I found the idea very interesting. It can create a nice reminder of the human body's symbols. But here, according to my opinion and my knowledge of the symbolism of the body, certain associations should be reviewed because they do not pay attention to the emotional, energetic and psychological body's correspondence and can even conflict with the chakras correspondences.
This list is not exhaustive, but here is my first draw of correction about the associations according to current knowledge in the matter:
Aries
Forehead, Penis, blood and hands. Not Head, brain, eyes and face.
Forehead for the use of his head with downcast eyes and the reference to the ram with a propensity to strike first, discuss later. The forehead represents the way we face our responsibilities.
Penis represents the active masculine principle or yang which gives the seed of life, power and also emotional security.
Blood: Sometimes associated with the joy of living, with a thirst for life, Sometimes it will be more associated with violence between men. In fact, I cannot be exhaustive on all the symbols associated with blood here, but still, in most alternatives, it is associated with life in one way or another and with our ability to defend ourselves. Although each of the alternative symbols can be associated with several other astrological signs, I associate it with Aries since blood has also been associated with the god Mars.
Hands: it designates action, will, power and affirmation.
Taurus
Spine (lumbar area), sciatica, muscles, adrenal glands, women's hairs and feet. Not neck, throat and ears.
Spine (area of lumbar vertebrae) and sciatica relate to financial support, material security. It joins the material side and the second house ruled by taurus.
Muscles because it represent the effort to be made and the work to be done in order to move forward. They react strongly to an overstress experienced. They therefore correspond to the side of the taurus sign to which he is reliable, practical, hard worker who can be stubborn but also very tender. Taurus is ruled by Venus the planet of love, beauty and attractiveness. Today, we strongly associate the physical training of our muscles with beauty and attractiveness.
Woman's hair because it is linked to the power of attraction and seduction. As Taurus is are called the most sensuous signs, they have the charm to romantically attract people with both physical and intrinsic qualities.
The adrenal glands because it is first of all connected to the solid parts of the body and maintain the contact with the earth, with the material world just like the Taurus. They secrete the stress hormone adrenaline, cortisol and cortisone which allow the regulation of the pulse and blood pressure as well as to sense dangerous situations.
The feet because they are the contact with the earth (material and down-to-earth side of the taurus), They give stability in movements, desire and help to feel safe. In other words, the feet secure and bring back to earth like our taurus.
Gemini
Throat, mouth and knees. Not hands, arms, shoulders, lungs and nervous system.
Throat because it allows us to express who we are and also to exchange with the people around us. Connected to the throat chakra, the challenge of which is authenticity, the center of creativity, truth and affirmation. For Gemini because they are fascinating, original (Creativity) and social.
Mouth: It is consumption, speech, breath, romance; it is communication, interaction, lends access to another realm of existence.
Cancer
Breast, heart, salivary glands and nose. Breast was correctly associated, but not upper back and stomach.
Breast represents motherhood, affectivity and our feminine part. It is the man relates to the feminine side the maternal aspect or our mother. Which is an aspect of cancer sign.
Heart for the cancer, not Leo. The heart is at the core of the cardiac plexus (emotional center of the body), which is more the domain of Cancer than Leo. Heart attacks are often linked to a loss of one's territory, which we consider our property because we have made efforts to build it. It can act as our home, our business, our family, our relationship as a couple, our ties with our children, our work, in short, what it is close to our hearts. Origins, family and home is the domain of cancer.
The salivary glands because they symbolize love and gentleness.
Leo
Face, cardio-vascular system, sternum, back and men’s hair. Not heart and sides.
Face represents our individuality. Everything that will affect our face will therefore be linked to what we show or hide from others.
Cardiovascular system, because represents the energy that circulates in us, it is the source of vitality of the body just like our dear Leo.
Sternum forms a sort of shield to protect vital organs such as the heart and lungs. It represents our armor, how we impose ourselves but also how we bring to others (those towards whom we feel responsible, whom we protect)
Back, spine represent protection, support and support, but also our maintenance in life. The whole of this area for the lion, but some specific areas of the column (divided into four areas) will be ruled by other signs.
Man's hair because it is directly related to dignity, to the essence of power, to the image.
Virgo
Brain, stomach and digestive system. Not gall bladder, liver, intestines and pancreas.
Brain, because it is the central processing unit of information for the whole body, the command center, it is autonomous. I opted for Virgo, first of all because the planet Mercury, ruler of virgo governs mental functions and both hemispheres of the human brain, and because virgo is considered to be the smartest out of the zodiac signs. They tend to be analytical, everything that falls between them remains under their control whether it is emotion or anything else.
Stomach (and digestive system) reflects how a person absorbs and integrates reality and their ability to digest new ideas or new situations. As mentionned before, everything that falls between them remains under their control whether it is emotion or anything else.
Libra
Ears, dermis, epidermis, eyes, neck and lips. Not kidneys and lower back.
Ears because this is the organ of hearing and balance, like the libra sign, it restores the balance of our life.
Dermis and epidermis because constitute the protective envelope of the body and the organ of touch which concerns our relationship with others.
Eyes, they represent our ability to see, to look at ourselves, at what surrounds us (our loved ones, our world and on life) just like Libra sign and its ability to see the whole picture instead of one side of it.
Neck for Libra, not taurus. The neck represents flexibility, suppleness and anticipated direction. It is multidirectional and it expands the external view of the Universe, transforming to a more objective point of view. The neck separates (or connects) the head from the body. It therefore separates the abstract from the concrete, the material from the spiritual. He does have a down-to-earth side like the taurus, but Taurus has a change-resistant, stubborn and inflexible side, whereas Libra has this ability of restoring balance in situations, viewing the whole picture instead of one side of it.
By the lips, we can understand the open-mindedness or the closed-mindedness (of the libra). They also represent the love by which one embraces and seduces.
Scorpio
Spine (sacral vertebrae), butt, reproductive organs, uterus and rectum. Reproductive organs and rectum was associated correctly, but not genitals and bladder.
Spine (sacral vertebrae) It protects the reproductive organs from life. It is in the center of this region that we find the strongest energy of the body.
The butt: This is the fleshy part of the body on which a person sits and takes his place. Its own place. It symbolize power and foundations. Refer to the feeling of self-confidence, inner authority. The lion could be associated for its authoritarian side for its link with power, but the scorpio also being a natural born leader, brave people and where Pluto, the planet ruler of this sign, is connected to power, transformation and to the reproductive organs. The butt definitely belong to scorpio.
Genitals (In general): they differentiate between men and women. They are connected to the masculine and feminine principle in each of us and to the seat of sexual energy and therefore to pleasure and creativity. I associate it with Scorpio for the reasons mentioned above.
Rectum because It symbolizes expulsion, the end that suits the Pluto who rule transformation.
Uterus because it is the home of creation, represents the power to give birth (Creation and transformation). I would aslo place the uterus for Cancer as it represente home, roots or sources.
Sagittarius
Liver, legs (in general, but also upper led, thigh, calves) and thyroid gland. Upper leg, thigh was correctly associated, but not hips.
Liver represents transformation, but it is a center of purification, a factory of manufacture and regulation. It detoxifies and helps with defense and immunity. Could have been associated with the scorpio.
Legs (thighs and calves, but also legs in general because they symbolize movement and autonomy) because the calves allow you to move forward and move, to stay in motion. The thigh represents the strength of my masculine side, which contains all my energies, strength and power. It is the thighs that deploy all the power and strength to stay in motion.
The thyroid gland is the center of speech, verbal expression and greativity and also the ability to express my divinity, to externalize creativity. It shows how someone takes his place instead of letting hisself be limited by others. It reacts when it feel suffocated, helpless. I first thought of Gemini for the aspect of the center of speech, of verbal expression. I hesitated, then I opted for the sagittarius. Because the symbol of the thyroid is rather about the ability to express, to exteriorize and to react verbally to think. It is the expansion propension and the reaction in the face of the limitation and oppression of freedom that is more Sagittarius for his freedom value , exploring expansion side. Their philosophical side who they need to expand their field of thought to explore new ideas, but also their tendency to become ill-tongued when impatient.
Capricorn
Bones, bone density, distribution of calcium, theets and shoulders. Bones was correctly associated, but not knees and lower leg.
Bone, bone density, distribution of calciym and theets because it is the architectural structure, both static and dynamic, that provides good support and movement. They represent our own structure of thoughts, principles and beliefs.
Shoulders represent the ability to carry a load. They refer to the burden of responsibilities. We're talking about a burden that is specific to ourself, but also the burden of having responsibility for other people. That's why I attribute it to capricorn because it represents hardworking, devotion, time and responsibility. His energy is powered by determination. His ruler planet is Saturn which is also known for oppression and restrictive side. Some may think about Leo for being a natural born leader who easily has dependents. But precisely, for the Leo, it is easy and since he is self-centered by nature, perhaps he does not feel the weight of this responsibility on his shoulders like the Capricorn.
It is the knees that constrain the extension of the legs as they progress. they associate with the restrictive side of saturn. It also show the flexibility degree of someone and serve to absorb shocks when the pressure is too strong. The knee knows how to adapt, bend to its environment and changes.
Aquarius
Nervous system and lungs. Not Ankles and circulatory system.
Nervous system: Because associated with Uranus, the planet ruler of this sign and because the nervous system is directly connected to thoughts related to the energetic and mental part. It is this system that allows thoughts to take action in this world.
Lungs represent the need for space, for autonomy and the feeling of living. Aquarius has a friendly nature, but also often feel like they are being limited or constrained. They love freedom, space and independence.
Pisces
Pineal gland, thymus, lymphatic system and toes. Not Feet, but toes was associated correctly.
The pineal gland because it is connected to the highest planes of consciousness. It is related to the inner voice, the spiritual search. She manages everything related to existential questioning, which is completely in harmony with the spiritual nature of the pisces.
The thymus gland which is housed in the thorax and symbolizes love, the will of the soul and the unity of universal consciousness. It is connected to the ability to be touched, to feel things and to unconditional love.
Toes represent the details of the future. They are a point of balance and allow to perceive the ground, therefore the world.
Lymphatic system because it is directly connected to the emotional, affective side of oneself and to the humors which joins the pisces on this point.
As it is a first draw, it is a only a first analyse. You'll see there is body parts missing because I needed more time to think about the right association. So feel free to discuss about opinions about it.
“Man is a microcosm, or a little world because he is an extract of all the stars and planets of the whole firmament.”

How to remember your dreams, Part 5 of 5
If you tried every single prompt to remember your dreams and nothing works, maybe your forgot the most important:
Physiological and mental care to sleep better and, then, remember your dreams.
Here some hints to improve physicaly your sleep for the purpose of remember your dreams:
1. You are dehydrated
This was my second post about How to remember your dreams. But here I am going to tell your why and how water will physicaly help you get a better sleep.
First, it is wrong to mention only the need of drinking an hour or 30 minutes before sleep. Because the need of drinking a lot of water start as soon as you wake up. In other words, if you haven't been drinking during the day, it is not a small glass of water 30 minutes before sleeping that will keep you hydrated during 8 hours of sleep.
Therefore, if you don't keep you hydrated all day it will cause bad sleep and bad sleep will cause even more dehydration.
It was found in recent research that people who sleep only 6 hours a night had much more concentrated urine and were more dehydrated than those who rest for the recommended 8 hours. The link between sleep and hydration is explained by a hormone called vasopressin.
Vasopressin is released faster and later in the sleep cycle. If you wake up early, you can miss this stage when the hormone is released and affect your body hydration. If you haven't got enough sleep and feel unwell or tired during the day, you should drink plenty of water.
How to know the quantity of water to drink per day according to your weight?
☑ Weigh Yourself (in kilos)
☑ Multiply Your Weight By Your Age
☑ Divide the sum obtained by 28.3 (you get the amount in US ounces)
☑ Multiply this sum by 29.1 to get the quantity in ml
2. Your hormones are out of balance
If we take a look at your sleep from a strictly hormonal point of view, your sleep could be seen as only chemical reaction chains.
As you understood in point 1, Vasopressin is a hormone that regulates the hydration of your body. But what are the hormones that help you fall asleep?
Melatonin is the sleep hormone, it is well known. It is naturally activated when the eyes catch nightfall. Sometimes, unfortunately too often for some, it does not activate when you want to sleep. Sometimes this is because the phone screen sends a strong light into the retina and sends out the wrong information, thus creating a false impression that the day has always risen. But it is generally explained by the lack of Serotonin the hours before sleep. Because to activate melatonin, serotonin (commonly called the hormone of happiness) must be present and in abundance in the body.
How to stimulate the natural production of Serotonin in the body?
☑ Exercices: like going for a swim in the evening or going for a 30 minute walk an hour before going to sleep.
☑ Day light: during the day, full of natural light.
☑ Nutrition: Tryptophan is an essential amino acid for the production of serotonin. If the latter is not found directly on our plate, tryptophan can be consumed through foods that contain protein, such as meat, salmon, poultry, eggs, spinach, seeds, milk, seafood. soy base and nuts. Consuming carbohydrates from fruits, vegetables, bread and whole grain pasta is also essential. In fact, tryptophan needs energy, and therefore carbohydrates, to reach the brain and make serotonin. Avoid any drink that contain caffeine like Coffee, tea and energy drink.
☑ Meditation: practice as long as you are used to before going to sleep. If it's a new practice, start with 5 minutes each evening. When you feel confortable to try more, add five more minutes and so on until your will be able to meditate and feel calm after your practice.
☑ Massage: receive a massage during the day. Its effects can last for several days.
☑ Do something you love or make you happy: like reading, knitting, painting, drawing, writing, playing a musical instrument, listening to music that reminds you of good times, looking at pictures, calling a friend or a brother. No matter what it is and if you can't find anything, get creative!
3. You struggle with stress and/or anxiety
Stress and anxiety are normal and desired reactions in certain situations. Stress is the body's reaction when danger arises. It mobilizes the body so that it can run away or fight. Anxiety is the fear that a danger will arise and mobilize the body in the event of facing it or runing away from it. So you want stress to kick in when a bear is runing after you or when you have to meet a deadline at work. You want anxiety to kick in when you are planning your wedding and want to counter any problems you may have.
But prolonged periods of stress and anxiety can reduce serotonin levels. High and systematic stress and anxiety can also have an impact on the body's ability to produce and synthesize serotonin. It could also deteriorates the duration and the functioning of the different phases of sleep.
It means you will have to find healthy ways to deal with stress and anxiety when you can't avoid it.
If you struggle with stress and anxiety, try practicing:
☑ Yoga
☑ Meditation
☑ Deep breathing exercises
☑ To express yourself through creative activities such as art
4. You struggle with sleep disorder
Do you always wake up at the same time every night? Do you wake up several times a night? No matter what time you go to bed, do you always wake up before dawn without being able to go back to sleep? Do you hardly sleep or do you sleep too much? Do you struggle to fall asleep?
It was obvious to some of these exemples, but yes, these are sleep disorders and you should pay attention to this problem. One of the reasons is that even though you don't feel tired during the day, a lack of sleep increases anxiety.
You see, our points 3 and 4 together form a vicious circle. Anxiety increases sleep disorders and sleep disorders increase anxiety.
But improving the quality of sleep when you have a sleep disorder is not easy and you will probably need help from a therapist, a doctor or a sleep specialist.
To sleep better when you have sleep disorder, I suggest to verify, when you wake up (or not able to fall asleep), what you are thinking or doing. Are you thinking of someone or something? Something bothering you? Do you regret something? When you wake up before dawn, do you feel like sleeping is a waste of time and you are thinking about all the things you need to do? I am only suggesting avenues to explore to find the sleep disorder's source. But it is highly recommended to consult a doctor to verify whether the source may be physiological.
In fact, all these points are connected:
Bad sleep cause anxiety. Anxiety and stress reduce serotonin levels. Lack of Serotonin disturbe melatonin activation that cause bad sleep. Bad sleep cause dehydration.
If you are stock in this vivious circle, don't be surprise if you don't remember your dream or having nightmares.
** If you suffer from sleep disorders, chronic stress and / or chronic anxiety, I strongly suggest you to consult a healthcare professional. The information in this publication is not a substitute for the advice of a healthcare professional. **

How to learn any tarot deck with oneiromancy
A lot of people who work with esoteric disciplines work with dream states, including lucid dreaming, dream interpretation, and dream induction. As we know each tarot cards or oracle cards are associated with specific symbolism, whether you are familiar with these symbols or not, dreams can be a powerful tool for learning and deeply understanding the meaning of each card. This exercise is meant for someone who is already interested in dreams, and for someone who is already familiar or not yet familiar with the meaning of his tarot / oracle cards.
For this practice, you will need:
Your tarot decks and / or your oracle deck;
A pen and a notebook near your bed;
Here's how to practice it:
Right before to go to bed, you will be alone in a place where you can be quiet and near your bed. Choose the right time to do so, as it is to choose a night when you don't need to schedule an alarm for the next morning, that no one will disturb you until the moment you wake up on your own. Waking naturally is one of the best way to remember your dreams and be able to record them.
You will be alone, quiet and near your bed because you need focus and not being disturbed (by people or your own thoughts) until you sleep.
Before you go sleep, choose a deck. Open a window and/or light a candle. Take three deep breaths or more, until your thoughts are silent or whisper.
Invoke your higher self and your divinity that you usually invoke to get answers through your deck and shuffle your cards.
Ask out loud "Populate my dream with the meanings of this card tonight."
Choose one card. Study the card closely. Note images on the card, as well as the feelings the card invokes in you.
Write down the date and the name of the card (and the deck, if you use more than one) in your journal, as well as your impressions.
Say, “[Name of card] will be in my dreams tonight.” Thanks your higher self or the divinity you invoked and your tarot deck.
Turn off the light and go to sleep. (Don't use your phone or think about your tomorrow dinner. Go to sleep right away)
In the morning, record whatever you remember of your dreams in your journal. Do this before getting out of bed.
Repeat this exercise on a regular basis. Use it for every cards of your decks or only for the cards you need to understand more deeply.
Be sure to record the results.

Oneiromancy
Our nights can be populated by puzzling, informative, frightening visions. Some peoples determined that dreams were caused by demons; others, by divinities. Dreams were explained as memories of the temporarily detached human soul’s wanderings during sleep; as messages from deceased relatives; as pure creative fantasies; even as the mind sorting through recent events during sleep.
What if all these theories have their share of truth?
Basically, we have two minds: the conscious and subconscious. The conscious mind which we use during our daily activities, and the subconscious mind, which is in control during sleep. Dreams are often perceived to be irrational or fantastic, precisely because they aren’t under the control of the conscious mind. The dream-state is not limited by time or space; it operates within an alternate reality. In our dreams, the dead may appear; we may visit distant places and move through water like a fish or fly like a bird. Freed from all physical laws, the subconscious mind takes us on deeply symbolic journeys.
That's where oneiromancy takes its place: Among other things, to hear messages from messengers, to interpret symbolism and to visit times and realities.
Only the narrowest forms of religious belief and practice are tolerated, and we’re expected to place our spiritual practices in the hands of others.
Yet, the surging rebirth of Pagan spirituality (particularly the overwhelming popularity of god and goddess worship), and the general broadening of human consciousness, are positive signs that more fulfilling religious structures and practices will continue to take their place in human society far into the future.
The age of personal religion has once again arrived. Oneiromancy is one manifestation of the process of removing spirituality from the hands of the experts and placing it where it belongs: in the hearts, minds, and dreams of the worshippers themselves.

I will soon post informations about how to perform it including preparation, interpretation, protection, wandering practice, etc.

Thanks for that! Couldn't say better.
Because from yesterday to today, Native American does not forget!
Cause now they see those who once tried to erase all traces of their cultures and their beliefs trying to appropriate it today.
As an Ilnu from North-East in North america, when I see French people in France who proclaim that they will become shamans according to the native american culture, but follow a kind of course offered by French people of no native american origin?
Strangely today, there are more French shamans in France than there are Native American shamans in North America ... Native Americans like to share their culture and the wisdom of the ancients with other cultures. They love to share it and if you use it, do it with respect.
How do you feel about the accusations made by native americans and other aboriginal groups that white witches are just appropriating their cultures? This isn’t hate or anything, I would just love to know what to say in defense of wiccans and pagans.
Why is your focus on defending wiccans and pagans and not listening to what these voices are saying? Most of the time they're right. Maybe 5% of the time do my eyes bulge out of my head at something just blatantly wrong.
How many wiccans, pagans, neo-pagans, new-agers, and "light-workers" do you know of who "smudge." How many do you know who claim to have spirit-guides/animals, totems, etc?
So much of the new-age movement is horrifically appropriative of other cultures (karma, chakras, henna, spirit guides, smudging, vision quest, totem animals, Dia de Muertos, bindis, just to name a few) without any real base. It's all cobbled together from external sources rather than internal struggles, personal gnosis, or even ancestral connection. It's an attempt to find truth through other cultures rather than through one's own spirits and relationships, but its all hollow and vapid because at the end of the day all the new-age movement has really done is cut the flowers off of a root.
Your response should not be to ask "How can I defend the Wiccans and Pagans?"
Your response should be "I don't understand. If you are willing to explain, I would like to understand."

Apparently Madonna likes to astral travel
My grandfather was a master in this practice. He was telling us about a rare astronomical placement at the best time of the year to indulge in astral travel. It was a time when it is much easier for men and women who do it and can find themselves in a same place.
Apparently, during this experience, there were hundreds of people and he met Madonna there.

A spiritual debt
No one is perfect and anyone can fail. So anyone can take on debt. As a family, it is the parent's duty to bequeath to their children, whether through knowledge or material, the tools to deal with a possible post-mortem debt.
During a monetary debt, a child of a deceased debtor cannot go to the bank and ask for everything to be erased. It is the same with spiritual debts. We cannot go to church and ask a priest to erase everything that following us/stick to us, whatever it is (curse, spirits, demons, etc)

The Baton of Words
Among the First Nations of America, at least the Ilnu from North-East in North America, learning takes place through transmission, in order to learn and understand, we watch and we listen. It is with the utmost respect that the youngest sit with the elders, that they accompany them, step by step, observe and imitate them in order to develop their own autonomy. Then, one day, just as their ancestors taught them, in harmony with mother earth, these young adults will hunt, embroider, gather and create what they need to live.
I remember one of those special moments when I was hunting with my grandfather… Crouching in the undergrowth, watching the tracks of the moose we were tracking, my little girl's heart was racing. What struck my mind that morning were the smells, the light of the sunrise, the colors and sounds of the silent forest. Accompanying my grandfather not only allowed me to learn patience and the meaning of the word intuition, but to integrate them. As I watched him hunt, I realized that to hear that inner voice you had to stop, look and listen.
Unfortunately, as humans are driven by performance, life goes faster and faster, rare are the times when we stop to take the time to observe, listen and learn about ourselves and each other. So most often, here and there we take snippets of information in books, TV series, stories, through the words of people around us or in the media which, for the most part, often focus on negative events.
Then, we form opinions based on evidence that we often haven't taken the time to verify for its source and truth. The worst part is that they become our beliefs and sometimes our truth.
In 2018 when I undertook additional training for my professional practice, I spoke with one of the professionals who accompanied me, whom I consider very cultured and intelligent. He said to me in all humility and a little uneasiness: "You know, apart from" Lasagna ", I don't know much about the natives." Of course, everyone remembers that Oka crisis in 1990! It was then that I realized the gap between our reality and what people knew about us.
Fortunately, things are beginning to change. Already, some media have dared to give the baton of words to the people of the First Nations so that they can finally express themselves and tell their side of the story which has until now been told by a society and a system of education which seems to have omitted some important passages.
I am convinced that if everyone took the time to push a little further the analysis of certain short stories or certain legendary stories, such as the Princess Pocahontas, which at first glance reminds us of the “discovery of the savages”, this discrepancy of understanding could finally start to fade. Moreover, by itself, the word "discovery" already engenders a subjective feeling of superiority which will also have served to widen this gap between our peoples.
Just as I learned from my grandfather when I was young, over the past few years I have learned by following in my godfather's footsteps and observing him in his role as an entrepreneur. My journey with him has allowed me to understand that if we want perceptions to change with regard to First Nations of America and other cultures, we must first open up and become aware of the many filters that society imposed to us.
We could discover a thousand-year-old culture that asks only to share its wisdom with us. To take this small step, you have to forget a few centuries of prejudices ... it is this first step that remains the most difficult.
Just like our elders, every day we are listened to and observed. Every word, every gesture, every step counts. As a leader, parent and grandparent, we pass on values and a story that will influence those around us, our employees and future generations.
And you, how do you use your Baton of words?
