may 2010- phil adds bonus clips from pinof 2 to his united states of phil video (2:46) this was when he was in florida for 2 and a half weeks (aka the longest they'd be apart until 2022) so he might have been watching the footage on holiday

2016- in another sleepless night with phil he was rewatching their first sims video because he was "feeling nostalgic" (3:16) while dan was on holiday with his family

2022- when dan was on the american leg of WAD phil was randomly active on stereo for the first time since they stopped (x) so the assumption is he was listening to their stereo shows ;____;

He’s not off on any more quests. But now he’s welcoming to visitors, and travelers, and their stories. He is still a Baggins. But he is at peace with his Took side, as well.

I have a deeply personal relationship with the character of Sam vimes, as someone who has also grabbed themselves by the collar and dragged their own arse out of the gutter of addiction.

Much like how Vimes has to make the decision to be sober over and over and over again so do I. And the way that PTerry applies that decision to every. Single. Part. Of his character, genuinely helps me on an if not daily, then at least biweekly basis.

If this fucker who’s spent the majority of his life giving in to his addiction can turn around and say “not anymore you bastard” so can I.

If a man who’s so set in his ways he’s nicknamed “stone face” can take a step back and reevaluate the bigotry he’s perpetuated, then I can think twice about saying something a white person shouldn’t.

Humans are capable of great harm and great good, and Sam Vimes has the capacity for both as someone who wields power, but he chooses over and over to Do Better. It’s not easy and PTerry shows that, but he makes the choice again and again because it is kind.

I’m also a big fan of a character associated with a dog metaphor, but that’s neither Here nor There.
