Au where Wei Wuxian's blindfold falls off during that group nighthunt fiasco
Lan Zhan, internally: Oh no. I've been a bad Lan. I'm the worst person ever. I've dishonored Wei Ying. The only way to atone is to throw myself off a cliff
Wei Wuxian: LAN WANGJI YOU GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE AND DISHONOR ME PROBABLY!

Was it casual?
It all started the day Xie Lian was walking with his husband. It was an ordinary day, walking through the streets, hand in hand, watching as cars passed. Xie Lian felt comfortable under the gaze of Hua Cheng…well until he wasn’t?!
Xie Lian noticed Hua Cheng’s eyes - or rather eye - was no longer on him. He turned to look at Hua Cheng only to see the other staring back at someone. Xie Lian’s stare focused on where Hua Cheng was looking. This person was muscular and tall, his hair long and ink-black, and wore a ribbon adorned with clouds. He walked in the opposite direction of the two. Xie Lian then looked at Hua Cheng with an odd pang in his chest.
Hua Cheng’s lips were parted, eyes…sorry, eye wide and his face flushed pink. He looked like he just saw the most beautiful person in the world. Xie Lian smiled, about to murder someone. He grabbed Hua Cheng’s arm and pulled on his sleeve.
“San Lang.”
Looking at Xie Lian, Hua Cheng seemed to snap back to reality. “Ah, yes gege?”
Xie Lian smiled passive-aggressively. “He’s pretty. How about you go introduce yourself?”
Hua Cheng blinked. “Who?”
Xie Lian scoffed internally. What does he mean who?! The guy he was practically drooling over! Xie Lian pointed at the man. “Him.”
Hua Cheng still didn’t seem to understand. “Why would I want to talk to someone who isn’t gege?”
Xie Lian was now the confused one. “You were staring at him.”
Hua Cheng stayed silent before he laughed out. “Gege, I wasn’t looking at him. Look behind him.” He guided Xie Lian’s gaze to a small little kitten. “Isn’t that kitten just so cute? Sorry, I couldn’t resist looking.”
That day, they returned home with a kitten and named it: Pretty guy. To poke some fun at Xie Lian’s jealousy.
So...this was actually based on a photo. I asked my friend what I should write about and they sent this:
This is a joke HC x LWJ fic. Except it wasn't really HC x LWJ because I felt bad for Xie Lian.

I love how on the outside everyone is like “wow look at the ever-stoic and righteous Hanguang-jun, what a model of the Lan clan precepts”
Meanwhile teen Lan Wangji is internally losing his mind and questioning all his morals over the most annoying troublemaker in class, constantly hoping to be the object of his teasing, fighting/flirting with him on the rooftops and getting in trouble.
And young adult Lan Wangji is going into seclusion, branding himself, and getting publicly whipped over a man he never even said “i like you” to (but maybe that makes it sadder…)
And grown adult Lan Wangji is getting drunk, stealing chickens, using his Lan headband for inappropriate purposes, following around a known-cutsleeve lunatic later revealed to be the reborn notorious demonic cultivator.
Like… Wei Wuxian is always saying that he’s bringing down Lan Wangji’s reputation but babe… i think he’s doing that all by himself.

Goodnight, my dearest.
Wei Wuxian’s eyes snapped open from his sleep. He sat up quickly in his soft bed. His heart raced painfully, and his palms sweat. A large lump formed in his throat that he tried to swallow down again and again but could never quite get it. A feeling of dread formed in his chest.
Lan Wangji, his life partner, hadn’t waited those 13 years for him. Even when Wei Wuxian returned, Lan Wangji didn’t recognize him in this new body. He played their song desperately, but Lan Wangji just stared at him with a lifeless look. He forgot their song. He forgot him. He wasn’t stubbornly telling himself, “Wei Ying is alive,” each and every night.
Wei Wuxian was just a fragment of his memory.
Wei Wuxian’s breathing shuddered as the memories of his nightmare came racing through his mind. He was lost in it, not realizing the movement behind him, until a pair of sturdy, gentle arms wrapped around his waist.
“Wei Ying, what is the matter?” A low, soothing voice rang out.
Wei Wuxian instantly felt all of his worries leave him. He turned and looked at Lan Wangji, whose eyes were half-open and his lips half-parted. Wei Wuxian instantly felt all his pains disappear.
“Lan Zhan. Did I wake you?”
Lan Wangji shook his head, rising and resting his head on Wei Wuxian’s shoulder. “No,” he then repeated, “What is the matter?” Wei Wuxian instantly felt his distress fall.
“It’s nothing, er-gege. I just had a nightmare,” He smiled. How could he not when he had such a kind, beautiful husband? Lan Wangji nodded before gently pulling Wei Wuxian down to lie with him. He ran his fingers through Wei Wuxian’s hair as he held his head to his chest. Wei Wuxian inhaled deeply and leaned closer, listening to Lan Wangji’s steady heartbeat. The scent of sandalwood, the warmth of the other’s body, the sound of his heartbeat - it was all perfect.
Wei Wuxian felt calm. It was as if the whole world could crumble around him, and he’d still be okay in Lan Wangji’s arms. He dropped a soft kiss on Lan Wangji’s chest before falling peacefully asleep yet again in his lover’s arms.
“Goodnight, Lan Zhan…see you tomorrow.”
“Mn. See you tomorrow, Wei Ying.”
