HOW THE NEW TESTAMENT VALIDATES GENESIS
By Kennedy Tembo
INTRODUCTION
" Time and again, the world has strived to find its roots as to where it has come from. The origin of the world has been a battle among various philosophical ideas that have led to huge debates and unending contradictions. Up to date, two entirely contradicting major views have dominated in providing what they term as a profound truth about the origin of the world. These views are basically called Creationism Cosmology and Evolutionary Cosmology. Though they both are technically religious in that they all need faith to be upheld, the Evolutionists claim to be scientific and term the Creationists as merely religious. Therefore, many people have termed this a science-religion battle. Nevertheless, a majority of Christian Creationists have argued that natural science is not at odds with Christianity or Creationism because there is a lot of scientific evidence in support of Christian Creationism. The Christian Creationists have the Bible as their authority as they try to explain to us the origin of the world. Since the records of the beginning of the world are found in the Book of Genesis in the Bible, they try by all means to study science and history to see if they validate the Genesis account of origins."

THE NECESSITY OF THE DEATH OF CHRIST FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SIN
Why Did Christ Have To Die? If He Was God, Could He Not Just Forgive Us And Not Die On The Cross?
By Lyengamuwa Wakung’oli
I. INTRODUCTION
Why did Christ have to die? If He was God, could He not just forgive us and not die on the cross? These two questions are not only important to those who want to know about Christianity but they are foundational to what we believe as Christians. The questions seek an understanding of the purpose of God in Christ and the nature of God with regard to His ways especially in the matters to do with forgiveness. I once asked my friend Simon Simuyemba during my college time how God can be forgiving and yet does not leave the guilty unpunished. He told me that in Christ God does not hold us guilty, for there is not condemnation for those in Christ. Though my friend gave me a true answer, which later after further studies I confirmed as satisfying, I did not know how one can reach at that conclusion. I understood that God not leaving the guilty unpunished makes us not escape God’s judgment, for all have sinned against him. I also understood that God can forgive sins. However, how those worked together at once was a mystery, until I did a personal study some years ago of why Christ died. So, this assignment is a work of a thought developed over some years now and working on it at an academic level as helped me refine some thoughts on the forgiveness of God and the justice of God, and also on how biblical propitiation is so different to pagan propitiation.
Therefore, in this paper am going to address those questions in order for us to understand the necessity of the death of Christ for our forgiveness. This is the format of the paper: a) I am going to address the nature of God and why it is necessary that God deals justly with sin. b) I am going to look at the justice of God and forgiveness of God: under this subject, I am going to address why God’s way of forgiveness revealed in Christ is the only way in which God can forgive us so that we can be reconciled to him.

THE NATHAN MODEL FOR BIBLICAL COUNSELING: PRINCIPLES FROM 2 SAMUEL 12:1- 24
By Lawrence Mpeta
Introduction
Sometimes, Christian counselors struggle to determine a suitable approach when confronting people of high esteem in their societies.[1] When leaders or elites fall into sin, it is challenging to drive them toward realization, confession, and restoration because one may be afraid of disgracing or annoying them during counseling. Prophet Nathan had a similar challenge when King David sinned against the LORD (2 Samuel 12:1- 24). However, God empowered Nathan with wisdom to lead David toward restoration, and he counseled David without humiliating or infuriating him. Nathan’s approach made David acknowledge that he had transgressed against the LORD and needed God’s forgiveness. Therefore, Nathan’s model provides a framework and invaluable principles for approaching, confronting, and restoring people of high esteem in every society.
