Finished my rescue of this Armor-less Magnus I inherited. A fresh coat of primer did the trick to hide my mistakes and bring it all together. I have to assemble some rubrics this week, but it won't be long before he gets paint.

I inherited a Magnus the Red without any of his armor plates. Naturally, I thought this would be the model I should learn to sculpt clothes on. Here's my first pass. After this cures, I'll fine tune it with sanding and liquid green stuff. I've collected Raven Guard since I picked up Assault on Black Reach at the beginning of 5th edition. Thought it would be neat to see how my painting and the models have changed since then. I remember my tactical squads looking much cooler back then...

I'm still around and occasionally painting. Thought I'd treat myself to something fun to paint. I've got the base colors for the feathers in, I've highlighted all the skin and finished the belt and loin cloth thing. Tomorrow, I think, is leg day.

I know I haven't posted in a while but I'm still hobbying. A friend got me hooked on Star Wars Legion. It's honestly been the most fun I've had playing a war game in a long time.

Contrast paints + clones = a fully painted army in two weeks

Still working on updating my Raven Guard army to a full primaris force. I had these inceptors blue tacked to bases for a game yesterday. They were fantastic and have earned full basing and paint this week.

Here's a few of my favorite Free Peoples models that I had planned to rebase for Cities of Sigmar... that is until just about every painted character I own has either been removed or is now impossible to take wysiwyg. I'm glad this book is coming out, as it gives the 3000 points of Empire I have painted a home, but I'm a bit bummed that I've lost so many options and Characters that I've put a lot of love into ever since 7th Ed. Warhammer Fantasy.
