People be talkin’ about a Warrior!Penelope AU and that’s super dope and based we love to see it, but you know what I want?

I want an AU where like 2-3 years into Ody’s time spent on Calypso’s island, Hermes goes up to Penelope and is like

“HEEEEEY girl what’s up? So good news is your husband’s alive. :D Bad news is he’s being held prisoner on a magic island by a goddess who’s trying to sleep with him. :< But don’t worry, he’s been 100% faithful to you while he’s been gone; if it makes you feel better, he’s been actively telling her to fuck off this whole time. So ya know. Do with that information what you will.”

And Penelope’s just quietly seething like

“…Ah. I see. Thank you for letting me know. …Guess a bitch is gonna die tonight.”

So she gears up, loads up a ship, warns everyone not to try to steal the throne while she’s gone, and goes off with teen!Telemachus on a quick trip across the ocean to go rescue Odysseus and maybe bash Calypso’s head in if they can fit it in

Calypso and Odysseus are just on the island doing their very depressing thing when they suddenly hear boss music on the horizon

It takes him a minute but he quickly realizes “OH SHIT THAT’S MY WIFE :D” seconds before Penelope makes landfall and raises absolute hell, throws Odysseus over her shoulder and takes him home with zero divine intervention; just a sword and righteous Spartan fury

I don’t have the energy to Greek knowledge to write it rn but I would pay anything to read an AU fic like that

I would pay ANYTHING to see a Penelope v Calypso boss fight, even if it just amounts to Penelope hard staring at her and Calypso stamping her feet having a godly tantrum about it

either that or a sequel i dunno man i just wanna see Penelope being badass for her husband

In a capitalistic society, the hyper-rich are effectively the nation’s leaders; we act like they’re not because that’s not how we were taught to view our leadership, but let’s be real: in practice, they are. We look to politicians as our leaders because that’s just what makes the most sense and they’re who are supposed to be in charge.

But these days - at least in America - Politicians don’t move without the approval of the rich at this point. They’re SO terrified of the stock market crashing again and another Great Depression starting again that they’ve effectively given the rich - specifically big corporations - a free pass to do anything they want; like a tired parent with a screaming toddler, they cave extremely easily to their demands to maintain the amount of control that they do have.

And that means that the rich - mostly hyper-billionaire CEOs, but also big celebrities and leading figures in bitcoin industries to a certain extent - bear the responsibility of looking after the people beneath them, whether they’re the ones who directly work for them or ones that are impacted by the legislation they back.

And if you’re mistreating, abusing, neglecting or ignoring the suffering of the people you’re responsible for, you are always in the wrong.

That’s why we’re all critical of Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, but you never hear anyone complaining about Jim Sinegal or Don Vultaggio. It’s really a simple matter of “this CEO bad, this CEO good”.

It’s not as nuanced as people like to think it is.

Update: Zephyr and Lake's dynamic in a nutshell

Another wip of the triplets

I say as i'm drawing these three goobers for the twelfth time

i stg these three deserve their own sitcom

(Sidenote: Lake intentionally has his hair short, doesn't wear make-up and doesn't color-shift his hair at work; this is what he naturally looks like. This is the only scenario where he doesn't have the energy to put in the effort.

Besides lord knows he probably tried and got written up for it.

Originally I had him as a natural blonde, but eventually decided that that just didn’t suit this set of triplets, since the first set of triplets all look so drastically different and I wanted this set to be a little more distinct.

So I changed Lake to naturally have short hair that’s kind of a burnt orange-reddish color, naturally just kinda has slightly longer eyelashes for a boy and looks more androgynous without make-up due to his age and thin physique.

Decided it made More sense for him to naturally be similar to Zephyr and Azalea and intentionally go out of his way to look distinct from them and a lot more feminine.)
