Nicest Ballet AU (kinda)

Tbhx AU where Nice DID practice ballet as a kid but got a major injury so he couldn't pursue it further. Then he went for the next best thing, becoming a hero with Wreck. As his Trust Value and Rank went up, the injury was completely gone, but he never incorporated ballet into his fighting style because he thought it was hard enough acting as perfect, how could he even try to put even harder, more tedious techniques into his fighting? Forget it.

Here comes Lin Ling. See, he was another student in the ballet class/club/... Probably Nice's go-to partner assigned by the teacher as they danced and contrasted well together (imagine Black/White Swan). The reason of Nice's injury was an accident in one of their performances. After Nice quit, Lin Ling lost his passion and soon gave up as well as he drowned in the guilt of having ended Nice's dream and potential, leading him to pursuit the same ad marketing job position in canon. He knew Nice was the same one from his past, but didn't want to do anything about it due to their difference in social standing. (I imagined him seeing the opportunity to work for Nice, and immediately snatched it of of his coworkers)

And now, the rooftop scene acts out as canon (less Nice cursing? Just a little, Lin Ling is frustrated still), right until Nice has a foot on the ledge, and Lin Ling grabs his arm, pulls him back, and instead of falling into each other, with the momentum they somehow do a brief spin, and that's when Nice really sees Lin Ling and realizes who he actually is (he's been zoning out the entire time and only wants to end himself, while Lin Ling thought he was hallucinating).

Before either Nice or Lin Ling could say anything further, Miss J interrupts them, and demands Nice to return. Nice, in his haste of not wanting to leave Lin Ling behind right after reuniting with him again, proposes to Miss J about a way to boost his popularity. To further drives in the graceful aspect of his persona, he suggests him taking on ballet again and uses it either as advertisement or in combat. Though he adds on that he has gotten rusty, and needs a teacher. That's where Lin Ling comes in! He already was involved in Nice's suicide stunt already, so it was best Treeman could have an eye on him, regardless of the NDAs he would have to sign either way.

This doesn't seem to be enough of an excuse, as Lin Ling is just a normal civilian right now (a jobless one at that), and hasn't practiced ballet in years (they could hire professionals for him, so why should they settle?). Lin Ling, worried for Nice and needs to help him in any way he can, says that he understands Nice's performance best, as they had been partners for a long while. Nice, feeling supported, adds on that he needs a break after today's ordeal (or else he WILL try this again), and Miss J can excuse it as him having his training period to develop a new, fresh style for something like 1-2 weeks, the same time Lin Ling will be done teaching Nice (similar ish to canon).

Feelings blossom again during the short time (as these two scramble to save up the days they have left together and how to keep this going in the After), and maybe Lin Ling can help Nice with his whole problem with Wreck by forcing Nice to Communicate and they become a poly, the end.

It had haunted me for years, why don't anyone talk about this ever . . . Him just knowing that Gaster was no father of his since the start, he was created for a purpose, and one he failed at also from the start (he's so weak compared to anyone else in his universe, his magical eye isn't even his, it rejected him, it STILL rejects him).

Do you know you're different, Epic? Being artifically made to ended up as a failure? That your creator had despised you from your beginning to your end? That he killed you by giving you that Eye but also by taking it away? You do, don't you. All too well.

So yk how one of Duke's more underrated power is to amp up other metas? (Don't remember where it's stated, but I swear it's real). So that idea + the troupe where one of the other member of the Batfam (or multiple) is secretly a meta.

Maybe they intentionally hide it, maybe the gene is dormant,... The point is, as Duke is intergrated more into the family, his powers grow, and that secret slowly becomes transparent (or just a flash reveal where the power manifest itself where they are in a life or death situation).

That's so interesting! I'd agree, his wings should AT LEAST move up and down a little in the series, because that was how the ears had moved all these times? They had been so lifelike under the hat, but stopped completely without it?? Why stopped em :/

Someone in the brotherhood giving him head massage and trying to navigate with the wings being sensitive/fluttering, nightlight, them betraying Yugo's emotions even more visibly than his hat ears, Yugo stimming and the wings flapping wildly or just people asking can they touch them and describe what the wings feel like as well as how Yugo feels about this interaction after years of hiding them aarryGGjiinuguercb

• Aftermath of Torture. Yeah okay you can not be telling me ss4 ep9 wasn't torture? Anyways Yugo be riding that war adrenaline but I'd like to think this affected him moreso than he'd thought and after things settled he has to have some long comfirting talks and hugs (and snuggles) to resolve his feelings. Hurt/Comfort

• Body dysmorphia! The transition of his small form to his much bigger one is violent as hell but I'd also like some fics exploring on him feeling trapped/uncomfort in his younger body and finally feeling okay after he grows up :D

• Wedding fics :D (That has "No Yugo you can not wear this to your own wedding I don't care if you made it out of your own wakfu")

• Feral aldult Yugo >:D

• Protective Yugo with Amalia now that they are King and Queen with a whole lot of aldult duties

• Yugo being a dork still (his older expressions are so cute !!!!???!!)

• The Eliatropes being eldritch because I'm a honest sucker for the unnerving entities troup

So those Kobylu/Coby ideas are gonna be: Fics of some AUs that I liked; Scar kissing; "I'm me"-"Despite everything, it's still you"; Nika and a newly ascended deity; Eyes don't lie (aka Nika's eyes are pink and I ran with it).

I desperately want to write for Cobylaw or Cobylawlu and Cobyuta (???) though. Downside is, I don't know how to write any of these characters. Luffy is notoriously difficult to write. I don't think a lot of OP fan knows how complex Koby's character is. Law should be easier by a tad, but I don't relate to him at all and that makes it hard to imagine him in my head. Uta??? Uta is a mess. She's so much and so little at the same time.

Tired of stalking the Cobylu/Kobylu and the Coby/Koby tags, might go batshit crazy and write like idk 5 fics. Might. Don't expect anything though.

It's old news, but I think about the fact that Coby awakened his Observation Haki right at Marinefold often. It's decently strong, and he's a teenager, already super emotional, and Marinefold was a war so against his ideals. Just made things ten time worse, really

I already talked a bit about Ginkgo trees before but what about I continue ?

The only thing I talked about was what they symbolize in Japan. Longevity, good luck— Good stuffs !

But do you know what Ginkgo trees are known for in Japan ?

They're the only living things to have survived Hiroshima in 1945. Everything was destroyed (including their leaves and branches) but they stood still and the next year — they had leaves again !

Also if you eat Ginkgo leaves it might increases your risks to bleed and give you irregular periods. But that kinda off topic (or is it with what his cursed technique is)

Noritoshi (and his mom) has several moments were he is drawn surrounded by Ginkgo trees so yeah I hope a bit too much Noritoshi might be alive by the end of the manga. Either Gege is trying to make us understand this character will be fine or Gege is waiting to scream "AH ! YOU THOUGHT !" at my our faces
