Are you planning on running Commander Fox Week again this year? Or do you know someone who is? I have a bunch of Fox drabbles that I'm just waiting for an excuse to post (otherwise I'll save most of them for whumptober, they fit)
Hi! I have currently no plans to run Commander Fox Week this year, nor do I know anyone that picked it up or might want to do so. (I haven't been able to keep up with the tumblr side of the fandom, unfortunately)
Thank you for your interest :)
#i might one day run commander fox week again#but my current energy levels can't support a quarter of the stuff i want to do so it won't be this year

I feel like the CG would have a Jorts level spaceTwitter for the tooka and they use it to roast senators that hate clones and post about inequality on Coruscant and all that. Except all CGs have access to the account so if one gets called in for questioning the others start posting live/ live streaming to try and prove that the clone in question couldn't be running the account.
Fox set up the account and pretends to not even know what spaceTwitter is.
Oh he absolutely would!
I think he'd be very much like Jorts with the primary difference of a bit about being an asshole to dogs. Replace the "can birds come inside" bit with "here doggie doggie doggie" with a picture of the tooka with an extremely devious look
Also the Corries roasting senators with it is so good!!! So many "bonkers" tweets when they get awful about clone's rights. Overnight you'd get so many people supporting the clones

I’d like to think Palpatine can see Ghosts of Clones if he visits the Guard. Chord just likes to let him know how he feels around his brother. Rhythm is worried about how the Chancellor is just staring. Under the cut is the still frames i did!

Stretching your legs out for a walk might have been the best idea that you’ve had all week. This week had been a whirlwind of work and emotions and it had just gotten to be a little bit too much. The boys had left your office for dinner and Fox had another patrol before his session. So, you had decided to take a stroll around the building to settle your stomach and clear your head.
You took a deep breath at your door and checked your watch. Five minutes ‘till Fox’s session. Rolling your shoulders back and squaring your posture, you opened the door to prepare yourself for this upcoming session. Only to pause in the doorway.
Fox jumped up from the couch, a bouquet of assorted flowers cradled carefully in his arms. His eyes held yours captive for a selfish moment, long enough that it took you an uncomfortable second to realize the setup he managed to fix up while you were gone.

The Coruscant Guard/ Front Trooper Exchange Programm
Hi! It is finally time for the exchange programm event! The time frame in which I’ll actively be reblogging is gonna be from December 6th to 10th and the tag I’ll be looking out for is #CloneExchangeProgramm since the full name is too long.
“Switch the places of the front trooper(s) and coruscant guard(s) of your choice for any reason/ plot device you want”
You can make this a fluffy and nice bonding experience, go the angst route, both or do whatever else your artist heart desires! All forms of art and writing are accepted as long as they follow the rules and the piece is related to the event.
As always I’ll be accepting late and early submissions. Due to there not being a different prompt for every day of the mentioned time frame this should be much easier to keep track of for anyone wanting to see the submissions as well as me :)
The rules pinned on the blog (the same as the ones for FoxWeek) apply and my asks and DMs are open for questions and suggestions.

Note
You should also put a Commander Fox tag, since a lot of people who love the Guard check his tag but sometimes not the others, and because it allow more visibility.
That is a very good idea, thank you

when the massiff bites
Commander Fox Week - Day 7 (for the sake of my dignity we’re going to pretend this isn’t four days late)
Prompt: Brothers | Hug
Wordcount: 2,796
Warnings: there is a Big Mean Dog and it bites fox, also blood and medical things are in here for a minute and nala se is her usual unfeeling self. this is really just me hurting baby fox for almost 3k words and then making his brothers hug him to make up for it - so a very typical fic for me except that there is Extra Pain this time XD
Summary: hound can’t figure out why commander fox acts so skittish around grizzer. thorn takes it upon himself to relate a sad tale from fox’s childhood
A/N: many thanks and apologies to @phantom-of-the-keurig and @disdainfreely for encouraging me to write more sad baby clone stuff :DDD
i’ll be back to my usual fluff on saturday with a baby boba fic (;
___________
Coruscant Guard headquarters, present day
___________
The breakroom was practically empty, as usual; not many of the Guard could afford to linger here longer than it took to make a cup of caf and maybe snarf down a ration bar. Hound was lucky that he had enough time to sit down to drink his caf, and Grizzer, from where he was napping at Hound’s feet, seemed to be enjoying this rare moment of leisure as much as his master.
Hound didn’t even bother saluting when Commander Fox walked in, visor buried in a datapad. Fox looked up and nodded distractedly, Hound nodded back over his caf cup, and that was that.
And then Fox caught sight of look at Grizzer and paused before apparently deciding to make a wide berth of it. Grizzer was lying perfectly still, the picture of a good and well-behaved massiff, and yet here was Fox practically hugging the wall as he made his way towards the caf machine. Hound watched, bemused. His caf cup remained halfway to his lips as he watched Fox brew his caf, collect his cup, and then repeat the same hugging-the-wall move as before to beat a hasty retreat.
“Weird,” Hound said out loud.
This wasn’t the first time he’d suspected Fox of having something against Grizzer. He’d never interacted with him when Grizzer was around and while many of the Guard stopped in the hallways to give Grizzer a pat, Fox never had. But this? This was beyond strange.
Hound drained his cup and went to find Thorn, Grizzer trotting behind him.
Thorn was poring over a holomap and marking what looked like patrol routes on it, but he greeted Hound with his signature cheery smile and cleared off a corner of his desk for him to sit on. Giving Grizzer’s head a quick scratch, he returned to his chair and picked up his stylus.
“What did you want to talk to me about?”
“Well,” Hound said, “it’s nothing important, but I think Fox has something out for either me or Grizzer, and I was wondering if you knew anything about it.”
Thorn looked at Hound for a moment, his expression unreadable, before switching off the holomap and scooting his chair to better face Hound.
“He hasn’t got anything against you or Grizzer in particular, and if you’ve got a minute I can help you understand why he acts so skittish. See, back on Kamino…”

frailty of the flesh
Prompt: Laughter | Bonding
Commander Fox Week
@loving-fox-hours
Fox’s favourite bit of the holo is when Senator Burtoni’s other hand claws through the lethris upholstery and starts shredding he stuffing inside.
Kaminoans have made a cultural virtue of self-restraint. Before Geonosis, many clones imagined the Jedi to be similar - after all, the Kaminoans appeared to be peaceful. Passionless. Scientists who were respected galaxy-wide for their knowledge, the elite of a harmonious society. Just like the Jedi code that they’d memorised.
Although the Senator for Kamino has adapted to Coruscant high society, some things are too deeply ingrained. To a clone, used to evaluating every microexpression that crosses a wet-bone face, her fury and frustration is unmistakeable. A KE-8 pilot shows less emotion when shocking a cadet into unconsciousness.
Halle Burtoni has the hiccups, and people are not giving her the privacy she so desperately wants.. A concerned semi-circle has trapped her on the settee, all offering water and sure-fire treatments.
To the Coruscant Guard’s eternal regret she doesn’t try the Koorivan Senator’s suggestion and hold onto her own tongue.
If Fox advances the holo frame by frame, he can watch the tremor move from her narrow shoulder, up her neck, and wobble her head for all that she tries to lock her jaw. Kaminoans do not admire the squat, muscular bodies of their product, preferring the elegant curves of their own bodies. Unfortunately for her, and a morale boost for every Corrie, what should be a graceful sweep of the neck is instead swaying around like one of the novelty dolls that are supposed to be stuck on the dashboard of speeders. Her head is moving in irregular circuits. On larger hiccups, she’s in danger of headbutting some of her well-wishers. She’s reeling like a shiny so hungover he’s still drunk, late to morning parade and in danger of throwing up on his glossy boots.
At normal speed, he can enjoy the sound of the hiccup itself, the undignified squeaks that’re causing ripples of laughter around the ready room every time someone fresh turns up and is more-or-less forced to copy it to their helmet and watch it immediately. Then their shoulders start to shake with glee, and the cycle continues.
Her trapped anger is a glorious thing, those elegant fingers digging away at a hapless bit of expensive furniture, because she’s lost control of herself in public. There’s nothing she can do except sit and hiccup and suffer and hiccup, and she’s throwing the Kaminoan version of a tantrum as a result.
Even better, she knows that there are clones present. Knows that they’re recording her, because of course they’d’ve give her the helmet specs before she left. When her gaze flickers over one of his men she goes slightly cross-eyed with rage, and Fox’s smile grows under his helmet.
He’s humming under his breath as he begins to draft a careful memo to his fellow marshal commanders. Something about the classification level of holos taken inside the Senate, and awareness of certain contraband holos that may already have been passed to the GAR. They can’t miss this.
