An outlet for the excessive emotions I experience and the indecent amount of screenshots I take while playing Lovestruck. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! We are the Voltage Organized Workers!
The writers of Lovestruck have come together to unanimously demand better working conditions, greater transparency, and increased protections. To that end, we asked the management of Voltage USA to recognize us and meet our demands - and since management has refused, we will be going on strike.
All of the Lovestruck writers are members of marginalized genders and/or sexualities. We have been given an invaluable foot in the door to the industry and a platform to tell stories that represent our voices, our passion, and our experiences. We are also all fans of the app, and we care deeply about the stories we tell.
However, not only are we paid less than half the industry standard rate, we are asked to meet extremely tight deadlines and produce enormous amounts of content without protections or benefits.
We want to see our hard work and commitment to authentic storytelling given the value it deserves.
Want to help us? Well first off–thanks!
The best thing you can do is send messages to Lovestruck contact asking them to recognize us.
All our fans are important to us. You’re the people supporting us, and we hope that you will help us improve our situation. We know that you have your own concerns, and we’re confident that this move will help to address those as well.
While our strike won’t immediately affect content in the app, it will certainly delay stories that you’re eager to see. There is a contact field on the Voltage website, and the more they hear from fans, the more likely they are to want to talk to us.
Above all, please do NOT boycott the game. We’re counting on you still being there and reading the stories you love.
Please also do not send anyone any harassment, on our behalf or otherwise. We do not condone such behavior. Keep your messages respectful. At the end of the day, the people you’re messaging are still our coworkers, and we want to get back to work as quickly as possible.
Message us with questions here or on any of the social media accounts listed below!
(Just bear in mind that there are some questions we can’t answer without breaking our NDAs.)
We’re hoping to have good news for you within a few days, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated of any developments.

#lovestruck voltage#coming back from the dead momentarily to rb#I haven’t been playing much lovestruck lately and have fallen a little out of love with the app for various reasons#but I still love a lot of the content and want to see more stories released!#but not if the writers are being treated unfairly

Everyone at Court wants Lyris but he is not a man who can be captured. If he ever chooses love, he will build a nest out of grass, twigs and shiny trinkets then do an extravagant courtship dance to woo his chosen partner
#this is funnier than it has any right to be#lovestruck voltage#reigning passions#lyris of the spring

I know I shouldn’t be getting wound up about this but damn some of the Lovestruck fandom has been getting on my last nerve this past week.
If you want to stan a character who can be read as manipulative and abusive - not my style, but you do you. If you don’t see the issue with an entirely white cast - again, can’t relate, but it’s not my problem and I don’t care.
When I do care however is when people are actively problematic. Like when they start trying to silence the fans who are pointing out these issues and flaws (because no matter how much we love something, nothing is perfect and that’s ok!!), belittling and swearing at them, telling them to just go read another series/character, and even arguing that racial diversity isn’t important (um, HELLO???). I know it doesn’t feel great to see something you like being criticized, but you can deal with it and move on rather than attacking people with differing opinions (unless said opinions are racist/transphobic/etc).
I bet I’ll get hate for this but oh well, it had to be said.

To follow up on this, there’s a little Easter Egg on the loading screen that has one of the VN villains on a Wanted poster:
Note the reward amount is 500. That sum is enough to warrant ‘dead or alive’.
Even if their currency is much less valuable than the US dollar, the bounty on MC’s head is still 20 TIMES HIGHER. Which is why, even taking into consideration the differences in monetary value between US dollars and this fictional currency, her bounty still seems a little too high for a ‘small time thief’.
She has a bounty of 10,000 dollars on her head, what do you mean she’s a ‘small time thief’??

Every time MC saw a ‘flash of blue’ in his eyes... Honey his eyes ARE blue what are you talking about?
MC: his eyes go dark, no longer blue
Nathan’s eyes: slightly darker blue

The cover art only has the 2 pilots... either Lovestruck is really trying to keep us in the dark or they just know this isn’t going to go well

Honestly, given the fact the MC for this newest story is also an wanted outlaw, I’m glad that the MC is white. A POC outlaw MC would garner more hate, given the fact that it’s a racist stereotype that POC are dangerous criminals.
I mean, I also thought the same thing and I’m glad that we’re not perpetuating harmful racial stereotypes, but also... MC didn’t have to be an outlaw, that’s a creative decision Lovestruck chose to make.
I’m guessing that the relevance in MC being an outlaw lies in that she’s in trouble with the law and ends up in the story’s location because of that. You could achieve the same thing with a lawful MC who is assumed guilty for a crime due to her race.

I love how despite the mutual pining and heartache that is going on behind the scenes, these two manage to maintain such a wonderful platonic relationship while still keeping the spark alive, and without being awkward about their first encounter.

... That’s actually really sad. Can’t wait until Piama’s route comes out and we can help this poor, wonderful girl be herself.
