Proclivity is acquaintance in disguise.
It was the year 2016. The season was Autumn. Place - Kolkata, WB, India. Anyone from the given data can assume that, it was the time of Durga Puja. The festive mood was in full flow! Time was ticking and the digital watch was showing the time to be exactly, I mean exactly,,21:25:13, 14, 15...!!! A boy of class 7, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, was returning back to his house after a 'Local Pandal hopping'. He was having a Kwality Wall's Magnum Double Chocolate flavoured Ice-cream. But, all of a sudden, his eyes fell on a group. It consisted of a middle-aged man, a girl who looked like a 7th standard student (though she wasn’t!), and a bro-sis duo who was very familiar to him. They were playing with a gas-balloon near the local puja pandal. Suddenly, the balloon loosened from the brother's(that of the bro-sis duo) little hand. It was obvious for a class 3's fellow to loose grip over a gas-balloon. But, by God's grace, the balloon's thread got stuck to one side of the puja pandal, within that of the primary character's reach! He asked them whether he can help them or not. So, the middle-aged man gave him a green-signal. After handing over the balloon to the little one, suddenly the time stopped ticking for the latter. A sweet, mild voice full of genrosity thanked him for helping them. On turning back, the latter's eyes fell on a girl who seemed to be a 7th standard fellow. Her beauty was her cuteness. She was wearing a Black shirt with white-bordered collars and jeans along with short heels. Her head was tied in the form of a basic ponytail. She was looking no less than a 'Modern-day Princess'! The latter welcomed her and the gentle smile which came in return, made that guy fall for her. This was the first-time in his life that he had felt something of this sort. After that, time passed like the flow of water, the latter eventually started talking to her, but never expressed his feelings for her. In the meantime, he also found out that she was actually younger than him and that was the reason why, she used to call him as 'Dada'. Years rolled by and it was already 4 years after they met. On one evening, he was having a chat with her over WhatsApp. All of a sudden, the latter texted her,'Btw, what is our relation though?'. But, the answer which came in return from the other side was probably the most unexpected moment for the boy ever! The answer was, 'Acquaintances'. On that day, he learnt probably the most important value of life:
"Not every love story is meant to be complete....some are meant to remain incomplete and to be honest, it is the best decision for them to be left incomplete"

"An Angel in disguise"
In my garden of memories,
Where lavenders bloom,
I see you are standing there,
An Angel in disguise.
Your demise brought tears,
A sorrowful downpour pestered me deep beneath
And I missed you till the last drop of my tear
A decade passed by,
But your memories are still fresh
In my mind.
The way you wiped by sweaty face,
Helped me take my initial steps.
I still love to dive into your memories,
And everytime, I end up with tears.
My love and admiration for you was sincere,
And I will love you till I close my eyes forever!
And, the day I close my eyes, I will not be afraid
The only reason being,
I will finally be with You once again!
This is a tribute to my Late Grandmother who left for heavenly abode, a decade ago!
