Happymun’s Bias List - 2016

I’m cheating a little because I am actually 10 followers away from my next milestone, but I might as well do this now, since the circumstances call for it~

So there’s a little bias list with the people who have made my year, whether they know it or not. I haven’t been very active in the Precure community this year, my attention was mostly on my Pokemon muses, but I am glad to see you guys are still there no matter what.

One blog mentioned per people btw. Order of appearance in the second list = My followers list from oldest to newest.

Even if we haven’t interacted in a long while and your name is up there, that probably means I really really miss you tbh.

I probably forgot some names, there. Sorry about that…

I hope to see this list grow in the new year. With the arrival of the localization / dub, a whole lot of new people will get into Precure, so I don’t doubt that the fandom will be more alive than it was these last few months in the year to come!

“I mean, come on! Heartbroken Chocolatier is good but I think it was way too overhyped? It has great art and everything but the end didn’t mix well with me, to be honest.

“Why can’t Hime get into something more action-y and with romance too? Rocky Sea was a really good manga and I really liked the characters and everything and yet it didn’t get an adaptation! And it was around for so long too! It’s about time!”

“They’re not jokes!” [Megumi said indignantly, her cheeks also puffing up in retaliation.] “At least, I think they’re not... Blue said it so seriously and everything that I had no choice but to believe him! And it must be so important since he himself had said it! You know how he often withheld important information us back then...”

[Her lip tightened in a straight line upon remembering everything from last year. To say that it’s a total wreck because of that darn god not telling everything until the last minute was an understatement. True, he did apologize and he promised to be more upfront on things in the future but...

Anyways! Skeleton wars, Hime! You gotta believe in your Amazing Best Friend like she believes in you!]

“A-And besides! Haven’t you read Heartbroken Chocolatier way before the tv adaptation? What differences does it make anyway? I’m pretty sure that Chouko would end up with Wataru anyway while leaving Akira in the dust like in the original!”

[She crossed her arms and legs together in a huff. The ending of that manga was Not Good, in her opinion. Megumi had really thought that Chouko and Akira would end up together despite their differences, but alas.

But when she was asked about whether she would join in the war itself, Megumi froze and started sweating profusely, eyes darting away from Hime. Uh oh.]

“I-I mean... um-- The thought never really crossed my mind at all since I was planning to just watch the whole thing in the comfort of the Cross Mirror Room with a bucket of popcorn but--”

“Strange? No way! I think the whole skeleton war thing is kinda cool, in fact!” [Megumi blinked curiously, wondering to herself why the heck Hime’s not all that ecstatic about the whole thing.

Like, come on! A secret skeleton war in an alternate dimension? That’s totally a cool concept.

But this is Megumi we’re talking about here.]

“Just think, Hime! No one in the human world knows that the skeleton war is real. Heck, it’s often brushed aside as a mere joke.” [She happily ambled up to Hime and just takes her seat on the couch.] “But we have God on our side! He’s your guardian in fact! So I’m pretty sure that it’s all real and I just -- I wanna see it for myself! And I’m pretty sure it’s more exciting than this drama, to be honest...”

[It’s not like Megumi hates romance dramas or anything -- her mother watches it sometimes and Megumi even borrows from Hime’s collection so that she and her mom can bond over it -- but what could be more exciting than SKELETONS FIGHTING TO THE DEATH, HIME. Please understand.]

“E-EH? REALLY? But... why?”

[And Megumi was about to ask who because as far as she knew, the Phantom Empire has already been disbanded... unless they’re up to something sneaky?

No way. She even heard that they’re boarding in at the Embassy? She hadn’t asked Hime about this though but--

ANYWAYS.]

“Th-that’s not good at all! Why an enemy? Is it even a one-sided thing or... Anyways! I gotta convince them out of it right now!”

Is there a lawyer Precard? If so, can you give us your best "Objection!"?

[Megumi is already leafing through the Precard book she shares with Hime and, with a toothy grin, swipes out two cards which basically consists of a professional-looking blouse, slacks, and prim shoes.

With a KAWARUN-RUN, Megumi stands proudly in a pink version of the lawyer coord. She’s been waiting for this, actually. Her mother watches court dramas almost every day. She’s practically born for this moment.

And so, she inhales deeply, readies her pointer finger, and bellows out an--]

“OBJECTION!”

[Well. She’s actually proud of her impromptu performance as an attorney herself, so she’s spinning around in glee.]

“Oh man that was so cool! I wanna be a lawyer now!”

Operation Butter Seiji Up With a Compliment had failed- his deadpan expression hadn’t even changed. He knew his childhood friend too well. “You haven’t really answered my question, Megumi- what exactly did you see in God in the first place? You had some pretty intense feelings for him, after all. It has to be more than just his… smell.”

[Megumi dropped the act and heaved out an uncharacteristic sigh. It had been something that she’s pondering on these past few days, and until now she still hadn’t figured out why she fell for him in the first place.

Oh she’s all too aware that it can never work. A god and a little human girl? That’s doomed from the very start. And yet her feelings couldn’t help it.]

“He... he was really nice.” [Her voice is wistful and distant, as if she’s just talking to herself.] “He’s also pretty too! He looks like an angel and everything and he’s really friendly and compassionate and...

“And even though he really messed up with everything and he was pretty much the indirect reason why the world was in trouble back then I just... I felt sorry for him? And I wanted to protect him, like how he tried his best at protecting everyone.”

[She shook her head, smiling sadly.] “Actually I still can’t pinpoint on why I did like him that way but...”

“I-It’s true, though! I mean, you’re closer to him in proximity, right? Sure you k-know how he smells pleasant sometimes...!”

“Smells nice? Exactly when did you get the chance to do something like sniff him, Megumi?” Seiji couldn’t help but arch an eyebrow, an incredulous tone to his voice- before he held up his hand, changing his mind.

“No, rather, I don’t think I want to know. I just thought you might have, you know…” Seiji rubbed the back of his neck, not knowing how to make this less awkward. “…better taste in men than this.”

[Well there was this one time when the god hugged her out of the blue (pun intended) at the temple during Phantom’s first appearance, but Megumi would rather withhold her tongue at that because it’s... awkward.

He really did smell nice though! Like jasmine.

But when Seiji rearked about her apparent bad taste in men, she made a face.] “H-Hey! I have excellent taste in men, I’ll have you know! I mean I have you, after all!” [She said with a huge goofy grin. Of course.]
