Appreciate that you try to warn people of fic authors using AI to write but honestly your time would be better spent supporting actual artist. I also think your question was bait. How else is someone supposed to respond to being asked if they're writing is AI generated based on their AI generated cover? You already made up your mind regardless of what their answer would be ; it was a fruitless question on your part. Being concerned about the merits of AI generated "art" is great but too many people are using it as an excuse to go on crusades that really don't do anything to support actual artists. I don't support AI art either but there are much more productive ways to combat it. I also think a lot of people are grossly misinformed about AI and are acting very reactively. At this point many of you seem content to bully people rather than help artists. You gotta show more love to the artist than you show hate to the "artists."

As I've already mentioned several times, I was willing to let it go had she acknowledged that using generative AI was a bad choice on her part and made her look questionable. Instead of answering my genuine question she doubled down on her use of AI several times down to saying that she was too lazy to learn editing or art and using AI was easier - now who's to tell using AI for her fics isn't easier as well? It's suspicious. It's worrying. Especially because this author is offering her followers to pay her, while generating content with generative AI.

Now, if you had scrolled down my account a bit, you would've found that a) I'm an artist myself and b) when I used to be more active on Tumblr I reblogged art almost daily. Even now that I'm not as active as I used to be, half my feed is reblogs from artists. I have tons of artist friends. I actively like their stuff across multiple platforms and repost it, I commission from them, I support them on patreon, bsky, tiktok, whatever. So to tell ME, an AVID supporter of my friends and their art and other people's arts that I'M not doing ENOUGH to support them??

I'm just not as active on Tumblr as I used to be. These days I'm more here to read fics than to reblog anything to my account. Doesn't diminish my original point, though: as an artist and writer myself I am disheartened that someone would use and defend generative AI instead of supporting artists and then have people dish on someone creating awareness on a creator who ADMITTED HERSELF to be using AI.

Where are we content bullying? I pointed out this account and EMPHASIZED just to not interact with this account altogether and to spread awareness about it. I am not responsible for what other people choose to do and if they choose to go to this person's platform and ask about their usage of AI, that's none of my business. I did my thing, I warned about this person's account and people spread it. I was made aware that she thinks she's being harassed - I made ONE POST, after I was blocked from her account and my comments about her usage of AI, that were a conversation with herself, were deleted.

Now, the whole JKR thing - it's nuanced, but as a trans person who's aware of the situation (aka, JKR being straight up evil). She has expressed MULTIPLE TIMES that she views support of her works (yes, that includes the whole Wizarding World. Yes, that includes the mauraders, TOO) as support of her twisted views and may I remind you: it is thanks to JKR that trans people are severely in danger in the UK and across the world. She is ATCIVELY funding anti trans organisation, bills and neo nazi groups with the money she earns from her content -> that content being the Wizarding World.

For you as an adult to not be able to let go of that and practice it quietly and to STILL post it across the internet - that is WILD and in 2025, when it's so open to everyone how this woman acts and hates, yes, it indicates to me that you're supportive of JKRs views and actions. Mind you, I used to have a special interest in HP. It DIED when I became aware of what JKR says and does. I was able to let go of it easily. I'm AUTISTIC. HP used to be a comfort for me. It stopped being a comfort the moment I learned about JKR.

I don't care if you keep your old books and merch or pirate the movies. Buy stuff second hand. Talk to your friends about it in private. I DO care if you're broadcasting it across the internet. Yes, that includes the Mauraders. Yes, that includes writing and reading fics because you're spreading JKRs works and keeping her relevant and earning money. I'm 2025, it should be common do no longer support this woman, by posting about her works and broadcasting to a larger audience (which this author seems to have based on her notes under her posts) you're only broadcasting to trans people that you're NOT safe for them. There is NO "seperating the art from the artist" when the "artist" in question is alive and ACTIVELY funding against people's basic human rights.

Hey, so, this is the whole entire conversation and every screenshot that I have. I think she did make one or two two line comments that I unfortunately didn't screenshot (that she also deleted because another user told me she deleted the conversation or at least my comments) but that were also just doubling down on what she did. She admitted to using AI, doubled down several times, blocked several people who asked A QUESTION and another user pointed out in my DMS how her pinned audio seems (heavy emphasis on SEEMS, we don't have actual proof for that and I am not good at telling audio AI so take this with a grain of salt, but her credibility is questionable after using generative AI already) to be AI generated (at least partially), several people have pointed out that her last fic read weird compared to the other stuff. Questioning someone's credibility AFTER they already used AI and doubled down on its usage with weak excuses IS VALID. Who's to say she didn't use AI to write her fic after she used generative AI? If MULTIPLE people point out that the fic reads weird, I'd consider that. Cheers.
