Anyone else notice how the scene where Victor runs for the first time kinda parallels the scene where he lost his toy boat as a kid.

when he's a child he puts his toy in the stream and follows it but it goes too fast, and he can't catch it.

When he runs for the first time it's on the docks we can see boats in the background and he out runs one that looks so similar to the toy he lost.

I've seen far too many ppl saying these events are the exact same and I'm fed up.

Vi was a child she just watched her whole family die, her father died in her arms. Seconds later her sister appears saying she caused it. Vi didn't know how to handle the amount of emotion she was feeling, her whole life she's been shown violence as a coping mechanism. She reacts without thinking and from the look on her face very much regrets it. She leaves to collect herself and when she sees powder in danger immediately tried to help.

Caitlin didn't hit vi when she grabbed her gun or got in her way of shooting jinx multiple times before that. She did not hit vi without thinking it wasn't a reaction to the situation. She hit her after, when vi was trying to comfort her. she had no regret she saw vi in pain and looked at her with hate. She left not caring what happens to vi past the point.

Vi was a child reacting to a horrible situation she didn't know how to handle.

Caitlin made a choice to hit her partner. She wanted to hurt her in that moment.
