camp halfblood, redesigned by me!

in honor of the new show, now available on etsy at ArcadiaBays, print and digital versions (hd & without watermark!)

changes from canon:

• expanded and redesigned cabin area. Annabeth Chase and other Athena and Hephaestus campers redesigned each and every cabin for the new generation of campers. Each cabin is intentionally designed and placed, with a designated expansion zone as more minor gods are added to camp. I also added a cabin for Hestia near the cabins’ campfire area- I felt that she needed to be represented, and that Percy would insist on some sort of honoring of her presence. Note: dionysus cabin is missing in this version, but in the version on my etsy his cabin is between hermes and hebe!

• each cabin now has bathrooms and showers within the cabin. The old camp bathrooms have been repurposed into guest facilities for any visiting roman campers, etc

• more campfires! There are now two campfires- an informal one in the middle of the cabins, and the main campfire where everyone gathers for smores and singalongs.

• the camp is set up less like a summer camp and more like a small village- more open space, etc

• I added “Memorial Circle,” a place for the camp to recognize campers who have passed away. The outer wall has every fallen camper’s name carved in, and there are five statues placed in a semicircle. Each statue display changes on a cycle to display a carved figure of every lost camper. Memorial Circle was designed and created in a joint effort between the Athena, Hephaestus, and Apollo cabins (with additional help and input from everyone else, of course)

• there’s a small art market next to the arts and crafts center where campers, nymphs, and satyrs can sell or display their work!

• there’s a soccer field next to the volleyball field now, so the campers can have a variety of sports

• some other details I like: apollo and artemis are the “twin pillars” welcoming you to the cabin area, matching and yet different. Hebe cabin (goddess of youth) has a small fountain in the center (fountain of youth). I LOVE the design for the demeter and hecate cabins, they just fit so well! zeus and hera have their own little section, still with the others but kind of given a place of prominence within the layout

I made this map of Camp Halfblood for my PJO d&d campaign, so I wanted to share! I also have made homebrew races, items, and a whole campaign world- I’m planning on publishing everything online at some point, if you’re interested, pls put your email in this form to sign up for the mailing list!

I made some changes from canon on the map, listed below:

-relatedly, each cabin now has bathrooms and showers within the cabin itself. The old bathrooms have been transformed into guest bathrooms for any Roman camper visitors, etc.

-I added “Memorial Circle,” an area to memorialize campers who have passed away. Memorial Circle has the names of campers carved in the outer wall, and statues placed in a semi-circle. Each statue constantly cycles to display a figure of every camper. The statues were designed in a joint effort between the Athena, Apollo, and Hephaestus cabins.

-There are now officially two campfires. There’s a casual one in the center of the cabin area, and there’s the main campfire that the whole camp gathers at for smores and singalongs.

-Arts and Crafts area now has a small art market attached where campers, nymphs, and satyrs can sell their work.

-I added a new soccer field next to the volleyball court. Just for fun.

the sunshine transmasculine flag

was very bored last night. don’t really like the any of the transmasc flags floating around so i made myself a little transmasc flag with a sun representing masculinity the way the sun is masculine. note that this flag is for anyone who relates their gender to the term “transmasculine”, including but not limited to binary or nonbinary trans guys, transmasc butch lesbians, transmasc nonbinary/genderqueer/agender ppl, etc. if you like/use this pls lmk bc i just made this for myself but i would love for others to find meaning in it!!

here are the stripe meanings!!!

burnt orange/red: the multifaceted nature of transmasculine identity, such as an individual’s relationship (or lackthereof) to femininity and womanhood, their lack of gender, nonbinary gender, and/or multitudes of gender, and the intersection of gender and sexuality (such as nonbinary lesbianism). represents each individual’s own definition of their trans identity and the beauty in its potential complexity, multiplicity, and wholeness.

light orange: represents transmascs finding happiness and fulfillment in all areas of our lives. also represents gender euphoria and the happiness trans identity brings

yellow: represents the transmasc community in general, and emphasizes our connections, love, and mutual aid. this stripe also represents t4t relationships and uplifting fellow transmasc voices, especially those of us who are the most marginalized (including but not limited to transmascs who are poc, disabled, poor, fat, etc).

light green: represents transition in all aspects of the word. does not necessarily represent medical transition (medical transition is not necessary to be transmasculine), but does represent transition in whatever way the individual thinks of their own transition. highlights positive change within our lives.

dark green: represents each transmasc individual’s unique connection and relationship to masculinity. highlights positive, wholesome relationships to masculine identity and/or presentation.

yellow circle/sun: the symbol of the sun- sunshine, wholeness, happiness, and light. represents being masculine in the way the sun is masculine. highlights the brightness of healthy masculinity
