Finally saw Boy Kills World with Bill Skarsgard and I liked it. I think it didn’t get the chance it deserved upon release due to lack of and poor advertising.
I was even surprised by the end.
I guessed a little of it, but not all and that’s hard to do to me as I usually figure out the whole story before the movie ends.
So I was pleasantly surprised they got the slip on me.
Bill is adorable in his mannerism of a golden retriever like person, but also as someone that wasn’t allowed to properly grow up.
He as well as the narration by H. Jon Benjamin, know for the voice of Bob Belcher and Archer, bring humor equally as if one person.
If you are not expecting to hear Bob, it can be confusing and take you a bit to settle in. Soon it becomes natural as if he has always been Bill Skarsgard’s voice.
The action is exciting and I wish I had seen much more of the like in the Crow remake that Bill was part of after.
But one can see how all that work he did in this movie flowed into his role as Eric Draven when in action.
His young female costar playing his sister is equally entertaining and together pull at your heart strings through out the film.
Their interactions adorable and heart breaking.
After getting past the trope training intro, the movie builds and you are not quite certain if all his work was for not or he will actually pull it off.
There was many a time I did wish they would bring up to the people around him the fact he was both deaf and mute.
Other then an on going gag for the audience, no one catches on as he stumbles his way through and has great luck in landing just were he needs to be in at times humorous or shocking manners.
There was at least one part that was very predictable due to the cameras angle and not moving at all. I had hoped at one point I may have been wrong as it slowly built to the moment as the actor would have been entertaining to have longer. Sadly as predicted it happens and it’s not really that funny due to predictably.
Though after it makes up for it as with very Fallout like plot lines of interactions, deception and dialogue.
Though the movie ends on an emotional finale, that leaves you wondering what happened to the main characters with the end credits hinting but not confirming until the very end with a finale scene to confirm what you hope has happened.
So if you’re a fan of Bill Skargard, action, crazy fights, and Fallout like story telling, I’d suggest watching this movie.
Also, if you’re a fan of Brett Gelman, you’re in for a good time. I know I enjoyed getting to see him.
And for the short time we get with Sharlto Copley as well. In a way giving off Fallout New Vegas Benny Vibes in his threads, but without the accent.

It does!
I saw it and posted the link but then the video was swapped out at a later date with the one in the movie.
My best guess is they received the wrong file and posted it and had to act fast to change it.
It was on TheUpcoming YouTube channel and released as official clip Venice Film Festival.
It was Michael narrating the whole thing in his own voice.
When the clip that was mentioned to be released with the Italian dub showed up later on my TikTok fed and was of an official foreign WB TikTok with subtitles , I thought it was only half dubbed in the countries native tongue.
When I got to see the movie I was so confused why it had dubbing due to seeing the clip with Michael just talking.
It was released on August 27/28 and altered quickly to the correct one and I just now found out that’s what happened cause I went to the video I posted that day after watching it and saw it was changed.
Really sucks cause I’ve tried the way back machine and so am just asking around now if anyone got a copy downloaded before it was swapped.
I asked on Reddit under the same video and someone was trying to tell me it was always the dubbed version released.
Almost want to saw “trust me my good fellow, I have trouble sleeping and was awake when it was released and thus saw it before it got changed to the one everyone saw.” Cause I felt I was being told I was delusional.
Does anyone have the English version of Beetlejuice talking about his marriage to Delores?
It was originally released before the movie came out and the link I had to it, they have now replaced it with the theatrical version of Beetlejuice being dubbed in Italian.
I didn’t know this was a mistake they uploaded and so didn’t download the clip.
I also can’t find it when using different search means.
I’d highly appreciate the help.
I’m wanting it not newly for my own to save but to show someone that didn’t see it.

Not exactly horror related, but the subject matter can be, but anyway I’ve started watching Law and Order SVU and CI at night while doing things and having it as background to listen to.
On basic television I noticed and was like I get it when they censored words and blurred scenes.
But when I switch to USA and they still take words out I’m like seriously? You guys show Chucky uncensored at this same time, but censored words used on a basic television series?
I guess SVU is too dark for them to allow terms and words used to describe things or even just as a threat.
Though with subtitles on you still know what they’re saying when the audio cuts out.
And yet they have commercials between for ed drugs and sex supplements!?
Like make up your mind!
Can’t say that word, but hell sell them ED Drugs!
I grew up watching it when they didn’t cut it and it was on reruns on USA, what changed?
If it’s outdated terms, you already have the parental disclaimer before the show.
I even watched reruns of Criminal Intent on USA growing up uncut.
I get it for family friendly basic tv blurring blood and wounds and cutting words, but seriously for a late night cable channel that has Chucky on it, it makes little sense!
Also, the reason I watched CI, Vincent. Can’t get into the other actors characters and usually tune out or change it to SVU if he’s not in the episode.

I know I’m most likely wrong on this, I’ve only seen the first and clips of the other movies, but would one say Art the Clown only kills people that either are deserving (even it be something small), did something rude or otherwise to him, or in his way and trying to stop him?
I find the character interesting, but I find I have no patience to sit through the movies.
I wondered this though seeing he does things, more for comedic affect I’m sure, that are good or helpful at times.
Where as say someone that was nice to him suddenly loses their cool and yells at him or kids become greedy and so on, he’ll attack.
I haven’t been been able to really find anything to really support or not support it.
Some people live and some don’t.
But from clips it seems the ones that live are nice or just are lucky and left before crazy hits the fan.
Others they start nice and then lose their cool and lash out and that’s when they’ve smelled their fate.
The scenes from the third with Santa had me wondering this as well as with the mall and children.
I haven’t seen a full clip, but from what I saw it seemed one child was nice and not greedy and may have survived while other children got greedy and rushed him and paid a price.
Am I close or just seeing things from what little I’ve seen?
#terrified#art the clown#curious#I got bored during the first and just watched cinemas on for the second

Watched Ideal Hands the other night and I actually didn’t know I had seen a fair amount of it around maybe 10 to 11 years old when it was on tv, lol.
It was okay and goofy.
Not one I’d watch for sometime again.
What I did enjoy and would watch again sooner after it was My Boyfriends Back.
Crazy 90s movie that gave similar vibes as My Best Friends a Vampire. I could have sworn it was a late 80s movie too!
Guy dies saving a girl from high school he loves and comes back to take her to prom as a zombie cause she said yes.
It had a few funny moments that made me really laugh. The guys mom saying and doing things being one of those reasons.
It even got me emotional at the end for a very goofy comedy light horror movie.
I’d def suggest a watch.
Both are on Amazon prime free for Halloween.

Saw Wolf for the first time uncut and in years.
It was always playing on tv while I was growing up and then suddenly it seems it’s never on anymore.
Understood more and wasn’t bored like when I was a kid, lol.
I watched it for the werewolves and would zone out during the talking parts and just play with toys.
I don’t think I’ve seen it since the 90s.
It came out in 94 and I don’t remember it being on to watch at all throughout the early 2000s.
It’s always newer stuff or the cult classic horror icon movies now days.
I’d wait every Halloween for Syfy, AMC and TMC to air werewolf movies as those and the vampire ones were my favorites.
I’d set up the vcr and ask the whole family not to be touch the tv.
Back then we had to have it on the channel the whole time while it recorded or ir would record whatever someone turned it too.
I learned how to set up the vcr to change to the channel if I didn’t have it left on the said channel and then set it 5-10 mins early to record.
My grandmother and grandfather would even record things for me with or without asking during the Halloween season or if they saw something I would like coming up.
When we lived with my grandparents I’d use her vcr if my parents were watching things, or I’d ask her to record things for me.
That continued even when we moved to different towns.
I was always excited to rush to see what was on after school or get up early.
Now days they repeat the same movies so many times during Halloween on the same channels and don’t even play much of the older films. It’s so disappointing.
Sometimes TMC will show something, but now days it’s boring repeating.
I enjoy the horror icons, but I’d like some of the strange as well that doesn’t play for years.
So the fact Amazon has Wolf for free right now during Halloween season is amazing.
The next movie on my list I only saw parts of in the 90s and not since is Ideal Hand.
I miss Halloween 90s media.

This took me waaaaaay too long to think this through, the Mummy Lady and Cat in Beetlejuice 2…. They’d have to have been alive to look like that at the time they were buried!
It’s happened in some cultures being buried alive, but for Egyptian’s in First Dynasty they might have their servants and pets killed and mummified with them.
So for her and the cat in this case, it reminds me of The Mummy.

Seeing Psych 2 the first time and didn’t expect how someone was gonna die and went “Oh Shit!”
They def say f it, we gonna do some visible in your face horror for this one.
I was surprised earlier by a fairly good looking practical effect of a slice to the face of one character, but we don’t see his death.
This character we see stabbed through the mouth and out the back of the neck.
Didn’t expect it. I only expect more stabbing similar to the original, but WOW it ampt up from not showing anything in the first to, hey look at this neat practical make up effect!
Wish they had the rest on Netflix, but only the first two are right now.

I’ve found again, with the release of Terrorfier 3, I enjoy seeing goofy Art promo and clips, but can’t get myself to sit and watch the movies after trying to watch the first one and being bored and lack of plot.
The clips and the actors interactions with people makes me want to watch, and how I tried to in the first place, but then I just sot and see bad acting and bad make up with long periods of attempted filler and not well explained plot or any plot.
I need a solid plot to or drive to enjoy a movie, heck even will sit through bad makeup and effects if there’s something there to keep me entertained and focused on what’s happening.
Otherwise my mind wanders and I start getting bored and wondering how long it’s gonna take.
I tried watching Terrorfier twice and both times was bored.
The villain is interesting, but the time it takes to do anything has me not wanting to watch more.
Had the same thing happen when I tried to watch the spin off movies for the Conjuring series.
I watched Annabelle in order after the correct conjuring movie and was so bored for most of the movie.
I stuck to the main movies after and only watched one other spin off cause it had the Warrens in it.
Knowing the truth behind the stories makes the movies funny for me and I liked seeing how dumb parts were.
Add that the first movie was so dumb in one scene that I still can’t believe it was in the movie.
The bowler was hidden hidden a door that was covered and made to look like a wall. The dad then mentions he’s gonna light the boiler.
If they hadn’t found that door by accident they’d have no warm water and would have left or had to find it by calling someone to inspect and locate the boiler.
Still don’t know why their R rated either.
Scariest thing is the loud sounds they play for jump scares and it annoys me cause I can’t hear the dialogue unless I have it turned up and the loud noise hurt my ears.
So I have to watch with subtitles.
I do find it fun though that Ice Nine Kills did a song that is for the Terrorfier movie and in it.
I enjoy a lot of their horror songs on the Silver Scream Albums but have t or won’t watch all the horror movies they sing about cause they don’t fit my horror interests.
I do love the songs though even if I don’t watch those movies.
I’ve looked up the plots or listen about them on HorrorVirgin instead.
If what they describe of the movie on the show is interesting enough to me, I end up watching it later.
Such as the conjuring movies. Though I laugh more than anything at times during those.
They described the movies like Christian Avengers and they weren’t wrong.
So anyone that’s just me in the end.

Heads up to Squishmallow fans that also love Beetlejuice, I believe it’s the 5in squish of Beetlejuice that I saw in store at FiveBelow for like $5.95.
He’s not showing up online to buy, so def check out your local if you’re interested.
I already got an 8in so didn’t grab one.
More than one shelf had them spread out.
They also had barrels at the front door filled with I believe 8in Halloween Squad Squishmallows. Those are online.
So def take a look if interested.

Had to look this up cause I was now curious and Michael Keaton is 5’9” and Gwen’s Davis is 6’.
My best guess is at least in the model scenes it’s uneven ground and he appears shorter and he does lean backwards a lot or forwards when talking.
Here’s a good example from bts of them standing next to each other.
If Beetlejuice stood full height he could be menacing if he wanted.
Now add Winona Ryder is 5’3”, he looks even taller.
Watching Stranger Things with her beside David Harbour at 6’3”…
I can’t unsee how tiny she appears.
Which Beetlejuice appears to stand straighter around Lydia then others in the movies as well.
Verses with the Maitland’s
We also see Beetlejuice can alter his height and size as needed, so he could still be short as needed to appear less menacing to make deals.
My moms biggest comment when I made her watch Beetlejuice for the first time was how short Michael Keaton is. She spent the entire last half of the movie not shutting up about how “tiny” Beetlejuice is. Asking me “why is Beetlejuice so small?” I don’t know mom, God made him that way!
But I love my short king.
