Something Iā€™m glad they did before and after in credits for Nosferatu 2024 is at the beginning you have a logo from the original movie and at the end both movie and book credits to both men that brought vampires to popularity.

Finally saw Nosferatu and I gotta say I enjoyed it.
I have a take many wonā€™t agree with, but it lines up with what Bill Himself said in an interview:
SkarsgĆ„rd: ā€œI want people to go, ā€˜Is he going to bite her face off?ā€™ And then it turns into a kiss. [Nosferatu is] a very heightened fairy tale/dark story, but also it's two people potentially falling in love. It isn't love, it's something else, but love is maybe the closest thing to it that you can kind of relate to. If it's not love, it's a craving and it's an appetite and it's lust and desire to devour.
[Orlok is] seeing the sun for the first time in hundreds of years. So he's mesmerized by it and fear and all of these different things. And in a way, maybe that is what Orlok wanted all along.ā€

Iā€™d like to note after my reaction to the new attic bride on my side blog it is not due to the change of character, oh no, itā€™s due to how and why.
Theyā€™d already very likely just bought a Home Depot shed to make the new shop, but also just bought and not altered things from Amazon or put ai art in it as well.
The queue as well is a downgrade as it doesnā€™t feel eerie or spooky, but a normal garden setting with purchased made to order items and not altered or specially ordered items.
Now for the new bride, I will admit I love the lighting and ethereal look, but! Why is her head a very visible projector if she doesnā€™t talk?
Her arms do not move and are statue like the original and if they were going to just have her be stationary as such, sculpt or create a head as you did in the past with the other brides before Constance which were stationary and didnā€™t talk.
Tumblr media
Visual example, here is the brides leading up and with Constance.
They were silent and only hearts heard and didnā€™t move. So makes sense theyā€™re full statue animatronic models.
Constance is still technically a still statue like model, but her projections over the form made that she spoke like the busts and made it look like she had arms and was moving.
Tumblr media
A wonderful illusion that made her feel alive and moving compared to the older models that didnā€™t move.
Tumblr media
Now why does this upset me with the new bride?
She was changed due to ā€œsensitivityā€ of her being an axe murderess.
And supposedly outdated tech being from 2009.
And yet! They left all Constanceā€™s themed items in the ride and didnā€™t even try to retheme or alter anything related outside of putting the new bride and her cat in the ride.
How is it sensitive but you kept the portraits of the men and the other brides with indication of her still beheading them?
Going on with the out of date reasoning, why did you downgrade from a projection that gave the illusion of movement and the bride speaking to a silent bride that doesnā€™t move and for some reason still has a projected face instead of a physical none animated one like before or a full animatronic set up like with your newer rides?
Now before you say why Iā€™m not upset of a similar thing with the Hatbox, thatā€™s because his set up is made to pull off the effect his head is traveling between two places and is achieved due to no or little movement and projectors. Yet still is moving more then the new bride!
Tumblr media
Again, something theyā€™re calling outdated but used to make him and are using on the new brides head writhing the last years far after Constance was added.
Now I ask take a moment and look at the previous next to the new.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which looks more like a Disney product and which looks more like a Halloween DIY decoration on someoneā€™s lawn?
It feels rushed and just a place holder.
The fact the attic hasnā€™t been rethemed really screams a rushed job as well.
The painting even looks better than the final in my opinion and only upside with the actual outcome is the colors and the candelabra. Doesnā€™t make it look any better, just nice colors.
Tumblr media
Until they improve it, donā€™t they dare touch Walt Disney World!

Sees new Attic Bride at DisneyLand: *HISSES*
I understand Disney parks will always be changing as Walt wanted, but thatā€™s a downgrade in effects! 1 her head looks like itā€™s gonna fall off and not part of her. 2 she doesnā€™t look like sheā€™s animated in body outside the heart. Even though projected Constance had movement in limbs. Whereā€™s that here?!
She looks like a Halloween diy on a budget!
Tumblr media
The piano ghost looks better then here!!!
Tumblr media
This looks more advanced and better still!

Late posting about this, but itā€™s been announced that the IT tv series will have at least 3 seasons taking place in different years going backwards every 27 years.
Tumblr media
What would make it even better is if Bill continues for the next two seasons as Pennywise and they take the time to finally film the scenes Andy wants for a Director/Extended Cut that weā€™ve been waiting on going on almost 10 years since he first mentioned doing a directors cut for the first movie and then expressing the desire to make an Extended cut combining both movies into a longer version with added scenes that would need to be filmed or exist already.
Having Bill for the series already, it would make sense if they invested time now as they film for the series.
At least logically it makes sense to me.

Growing up Iā€™d watch ā€œDracula Dead and Loving Itā€ whenever it came on. I always thought it was R as well and cut for tv, but just now watched it on Amazon and it says PG-13 and apparently Iā€™d seen all of it on TV cause I donā€™t think I saw anything cut out.
Still fun and how I remembered it.

Anyone else only ever seen the Nosferatu Sponge Bob gif and had no idea it was from Sponge Bob cause you stopped watching before they got to that season, but learned about it during interviews for the new movie and the director thanking the show for bringing it to the younger generation, but you knew of the movie Nosferatu from film references, tv show references and even caught some of it on tv during Halloween back when both AMC and TCM showed older horror movies, and you arenā€™t that old even, if anything youā€™re just a year older then Bill Skarsgard.
Anyone else like that?
Cause it made me feel old feels like everyone is referencing this as if itā€™s the only way anyone ever knew about the original movie.
Maybe Iā€™m just old, or my horror nerd part of me is why I know.
They used to do shows talking about horror movie history and Iā€™d watch them when I could find them on tv.
Now you could probably them online ripped from vhs.
They used have a VFX show that went behind the scenes of the movies and how they did everything. I loved it and the last I saw any episode I think was like 2003.
I want to say it was on AMC.
I havenā€™t seen it mentioned in interviews Iā€™ve seen, but Willem Dafoe technically played Orlok in Shadow of the Vampire and that came out 2 years before the Sponge Bob episode.
youtube
Itā€™s an interesting fictional take on the making of Nosferatu.

Finally saw Boy Kills World with Bill Skarsgard and I liked it. I think it didnā€™t get the chance it deserved upon release due to lack of and poor advertising.
I was even surprised by the end.
I guessed a little of it, but not all and thatā€™s hard to do to me as I usually figure out the whole story before the movie ends.
So I was pleasantly surprised they got the slip on me.
Bill is adorable in his mannerism of a golden retriever like person, but also as someone that wasnā€™t allowed to properly grow up.
He as well as the narration by H. Jon Benjamin, know for the voice of Bob Belcher and Archer, bring humor equally as if one person.
If you are not expecting to hear Bob, it can be confusing and take you a bit to settle in. Soon it becomes natural as if he has always been Bill Skarsgardā€™s voice.
The action is exciting and I wish I had seen much more of the like in the Crow remake that Bill was part of after.
But one can see how all that work he did in this movie flowed into his role as Eric Draven when in action.
His young female costar playing his sister is equally entertaining and together pull at your heart strings through out the film.
Their interactions adorable and heart breaking.
After getting past the trope training intro, the movie builds and you are not quite certain if all his work was for not or he will actually pull it off.
There was many a time I did wish they would bring up to the people around him the fact he was both deaf and mute.
Other then an on going gag for the audience, no one catches on as he stumbles his way through and has great luck in landing just were he needs to be in at times humorous or shocking manners.
There was at least one part that was very predictable due to the cameras angle and not moving at all. I had hoped at one point I may have been wrong as it slowly built to the moment as the actor would have been entertaining to have longer. Sadly as predicted it happens and itā€™s not really that funny due to predictably.
Though after it makes up for it as with very Fallout like plot lines of interactions, deception and dialogue.
Though the movie ends on an emotional finale, that leaves you wondering what happened to the main characters with the end credits hinting but not confirming until the very end with a finale scene to confirm what you hope has happened.
So if youā€™re a fan of Bill Skargard, action, crazy fights, and Fallout like story telling, Iā€™d suggest watching this movie.
Tumblr media
Also, if youā€™re a fan of Brett Gelman, youā€™re in for a good time. I know I enjoyed getting to see him.
Tumblr media
And for the short time we get with Sharlto Copley as well. In a way giving off Fallout New Vegas Benny Vibes in his threads, but without the accent.

It does!
I saw it and posted the link but then the video was swapped out at a later date with the one in the movie.
My best guess is they received the wrong file and posted it and had to act fast to change it.
It was on TheUpcoming YouTube channel and released as official clip Venice Film Festival.
It was Michael narrating the whole thing in his own voice.
When the clip that was mentioned to be released with the Italian dub showed up later on my TikTok fed and was of an official foreign WB TikTok with subtitles , I thought it was only half dubbed in the countries native tongue.
When I got to see the movie I was so confused why it had dubbing due to seeing the clip with Michael just talking.
It was released on August 27/28 and altered quickly to the correct one and I just now found out thatā€™s what happened cause I went to the video I posted that day after watching it and saw it was changed.
Really sucks cause Iā€™ve tried the way back machine and so am just asking around now if anyone got a copy downloaded before it was swapped.
I asked on Reddit under the same video and someone was trying to tell me it was always the dubbed version released.
Almost want to saw ā€œtrust me my good fellow, I have trouble sleeping and was awake when it was released and thus saw it before it got changed to the one everyone saw.ā€ Cause I felt I was being told I was delusional.
Does anyone have the English version of Beetlejuice talking about his marriage to Delores?
It was originally released before the movie came out and the link I had to it, they have now replaced it with the theatrical version of Beetlejuice being dubbed in Italian.
I didnā€™t know this was a mistake they uploaded and so didnā€™t download the clip.
I also canā€™t find it when using different search means.
Iā€™d highly appreciate the help.
Iā€™m wanting it not newly for my own to save but to show someone that didnā€™t see it.

Not exactly horror related, but the subject matter can be, but anyway Iā€™ve started watching Law and Order SVU and CI at night while doing things and having it as background to listen to.
On basic television I noticed and was like I get it when they censored words and blurred scenes.
But when I switch to USA and they still take words out Iā€™m like seriously? You guys show Chucky uncensored at this same time, but censored words used on a basic television series?
I guess SVU is too dark for them to allow terms and words used to describe things or even just as a threat.
Though with subtitles on you still know what theyā€™re saying when the audio cuts out.
And yet they have commercials between for ed drugs and sex supplements!?
Like make up your mind!
Canā€™t say that word, but hell sell them ED Drugs!
I grew up watching it when they didnā€™t cut it and it was on reruns on USA, what changed?
If itā€™s outdated terms, you already have the parental disclaimer before the show.
I even watched reruns of Criminal Intent on USA growing up uncut.
I get it for family friendly basic tv blurring blood and wounds and cutting words, but seriously for a late night cable channel that has Chucky on it, it makes little sense!
Also, the reason I watched CI, Vincent. Canā€™t get into the other actors characters and usually tune out or change it to SVU if heā€™s not in the episode.

I know Iā€™m most likely wrong on this, Iā€™ve only seen the first and clips of the other movies, but would one say Art the Clown only kills people that either are deserving (even it be something small), did something rude or otherwise to him, or in his way and trying to stop him?
I find the character interesting, but I find I have no patience to sit through the movies.
I wondered this though seeing he does things, more for comedic affect Iā€™m sure, that are good or helpful at times.
Where as say someone that was nice to him suddenly loses their cool and yells at him or kids become greedy and so on, heā€™ll attack.
I havenā€™t been been able to really find anything to really support or not support it.
Some people live and some donā€™t.
But from clips it seems the ones that live are nice or just are lucky and left before crazy hits the fan.
Others they start nice and then lose their cool and lash out and thatā€™s when theyā€™ve smelled their fate.
The scenes from the third with Santa had me wondering this as well as with the mall and children.
I havenā€™t seen a full clip, but from what I saw it seemed one child was nice and not greedy and may have survived while other children got greedy and rushed him and paid a price.
Am I close or just seeing things from what little Iā€™ve seen?

Watched Ideal Hands the other night and I actually didnā€™t know I had seen a fair amount of it around maybe 10 to 11 years old when it was on tv, lol.
It was okay and goofy.
Not one Iā€™d watch for sometime again.
What I did enjoy and would watch again sooner after it was My Boyfriends Back.
Crazy 90s movie that gave similar vibes as My Best Friends a Vampire. I could have sworn it was a late 80s movie too!
Guy dies saving a girl from high school he loves and comes back to take her to prom as a zombie cause she said yes.
It had a few funny moments that made me really laugh. The guys mom saying and doing things being one of those reasons.
It even got me emotional at the end for a very goofy comedy light horror movie.
Iā€™d def suggest a watch.
Both are on Amazon prime free for Halloween.

Saw Wolf for the first time uncut and in years.
It was always playing on tv while I was growing up and then suddenly it seems itā€™s never on anymore.
Understood more and wasnā€™t bored like when I was a kid, lol.
I watched it for the werewolves and would zone out during the talking parts and just play with toys.
I donā€™t think Iā€™ve seen it since the 90s.
It came out in 94 and I donā€™t remember it being on to watch at all throughout the early 2000s.
Itā€™s always newer stuff or the cult classic horror icon movies now days.
Iā€™d wait every Halloween for Syfy, AMC and TMC to air werewolf movies as those and the vampire ones were my favorites.
Iā€™d set up the vcr and ask the whole family not to be touch the tv.
Back then we had to have it on the channel the whole time while it recorded or ir would record whatever someone turned it too.
I learned how to set up the vcr to change to the channel if I didnā€™t have it left on the said channel and then set it 5-10 mins early to record.
My grandmother and grandfather would even record things for me with or without asking during the Halloween season or if they saw something I would like coming up.
When we lived with my grandparents Iā€™d use her vcr if my parents were watching things, or Iā€™d ask her to record things for me.
That continued even when we moved to different towns.
I was always excited to rush to see what was on after school or get up early.
Now days they repeat the same movies so many times during Halloween on the same channels and donā€™t even play much of the older films. Itā€™s so disappointing.
Sometimes TMC will show something, but now days itā€™s boring repeating.
I enjoy the horror icons, but Iā€™d like some of the strange as well that doesnā€™t play for years.
So the fact Amazon has Wolf for free right now during Halloween season is amazing.
The next movie on my list I only saw parts of in the 90s and not since is Ideal Hand.
I miss Halloween 90s media.

This took me waaaaaay too long to think this through, the Mummy Lady and Cat in Beetlejuice 2ā€¦. Theyā€™d have to have been alive to look like that at the time they were buried!
Itā€™s happened in some cultures being buried alive, but for Egyptianā€™s in First Dynasty they might have their servants and pets killed and mummified with them.
So for her and the cat in this case, it reminds me of The Mummy.
