Update Schedule After Chapter 1

TLDR: Updates will be slower after chapter 1, maybe 2 times a year, but I will release more pages with each batch (1/4-1/2 of a chapter every post). Did this because the current schedule isn't working for me, and next year I will be even busier with university.

What changes am I making?

After chapter 1, I am going to be updating far less. I was already pretty scarce with updates, but now I'm reducing it to whenever I finish a batch of pages. No exceptions, no rushing. I estimate this will be maybe 2-3 times a year. However, these updates will be bigger batches of pages, pretty much most of a chapter at a time (think 1/4-1/2 of a chapter). This way you guys can get more content for the amount of time you wait!

Why are you making these changes?

I feel like setting the bar so low for myself made me feel like if I didn't make pages quickly, I was kinda wasting everyones time. If I force myself to do something, I have a really hard time starting it. Giving myself more time to work on a lot of pages will make me feel less pressured to update, and even if I take a while, the end result feels a lot more rewarding to me.

Also a big issue I've have with this comic has been writing and pacing. Because I would make 2 pages every post, I wouldn't really consider how my writing or pacing would affect future pages. This is just a fan comic, so I'm not too bothered by it, but idk. I just feel like I'll be alot happier with this project if I give myself time to create more pages in tandem with each other and plan more.

The biggest reason I will be doing it this way going forwards however, is that my first year at uni has made me realize I just don't have time to be updating this comic as much as I have been. I will go weeks at a time solely trying to meet a deadline, without any time for even personal artwork. Next year, it will be way busier, so I just can't keep up with this anymore (yes, even at the snails pace I was already updating at lol)

Is the project going to die?

I don't think so. If I am going to abandon it, I will let you all know and will release info on what would've happened. If I ever for any reason don't update for a very long time, please assume I will someday come back to this project until I announce it's over. So uh. This is actually as far as my "script" has gone (script as in written dialogue. Ofc i have other stuff planned, and know where this chapter is going.) Basically this means not only do I still have pages to make after this, but I also have to actually write the rest of the dialogue out too :/ I won't be updating again anytime soon because of that, but also because my uni is so demanding it's crazy.. Haven't had time for like any passion projects :(

I also have some news on how updates will happen going forwards. I'm gonna address it in a separate post to explain exactly why I'm changing my update schedule, but good news is you guys won't have to wait months just for 2 page updates anymore! (Because I will be doing massive page drops maybe twice a year. 10-20 pages)

If you're wondering about chapter 1 specifically, I intend to finish it up in the next post, or maybe the post after. Not much more to go. It is unlikely this chapter will be finished before the end of 2024 though because I have a lot of stuff to catch up on, and art burnout from uni is killing me... Thank you all for being patient :) I know it's really frustrating waiting months and months for poorly paced dialogue aksdakjls I'm sick of this scene too!!

I finally come back to this blog... And immediately after posting the new comic pages... I notice a dumb error on part 6. So basically in this panel, Rando is supposed to refer to Brad as "Master Armstrong"

BUT FOR SOME REASON I MADE HIM CALL HIM BRAD. WHICH MEANS THE NEXT PANEL MAKES NO SENSE.

Ok so first of all, you all might notice the change in text bubbles! That's because I got sick of trying to draw a shouting bubble (Idk why it's so hardddd)... And decided to swap to a free resource with some templates. Ik it's kinda unoriginal, but it should make the comic look a little more consistent and nice! Credit to the original artist will be added to all of these posts! I will also be doing 2 panel posts from now on. Finally back!!! Been loving definitive edition :D I'm considering simplifying the colouring for future pages... But idk, cus I rlly like this colouring style. It's unfortunate, but I MAY simplify the colours for future pages just to increase productivity and get stuff out quicker!

Hey everyone! Hoping to return soon! I just want to reassure anyone still following this blog that it's not being abandoned, and I do plan to come back.

I want to get as much of this comic made before the end of this year since I'll be much more busy next year... I'll try to come back after definitive edition releases, and I've played it a bit! Sorry for the long wait, as always.

I don't have an exact date for the next pages yet, but hopefully sometime this month (otherwise, it'll be next month!)
