Hey so I’m working on writing a book inspired by the odyssey it uses the adventure as a base for the story but contains original characters and a fictional pantheon. Hi, my name's Eliza, I have stage 3b breast cancer. I've come a long way, had a partial mastecomy and some lymph nodes removed, but my cancer is still really aggressive and scary. I have another hurdle coming up that is going to strain me and my family a lot since we're really poor... and that's radiation therapy.

My radiation therapy apps are going to be 5 days a week (mon-fri), for 4-5 weeks. The only place I can be seen is 1hr 15mins away...so that's a 2+ hour drive, every single day for weeks. We just can't afford the gas money for that, we're barely scrapping by as is...

I hate that I have to ask for help again, but I'm terrified and don't want to die. So I'm offering REALLY cheap commissions! (Details below the divider.)

happy 5th birthday to my first mainline Pokémon game! 🥳

ngl this game pretty much inspired me to write, like, two of my main OCs (chrys and lia) originated from swsh

a funny thing abt some of my OCs is that the gods absolutely despise them

i think a big example of this is Chrys. she's the closest reincarnation to Maria, an old Mary Sue OC. out of fear of Maria regaining her power, the gods put all their effort into making sure Chrys would never talk to anyone ever.

okay this is kinda long so i'm just going to put this here

Chrys grew up in the woods away from civilization, people saw her as a freak because of that, and to top it all off, they made her absolutely terrified of talking to people

plus, Chrys still has a Mary Sue quirk (i don't know what to call it) that stops her. so when it comes to Mary Sues and stories, they usually have other canon characters act out of character to make them fall in love with the Mary Sue.

Chrys has that power, but can't control it, nor is she aware that she has it. her power is similar to the one i just listed, but instead of making people fall in love with her, it makes people standoffish and avoidant to her and only her.

this is also why i think of Nobody (by Mitski) when I think of Chrys. thank you for coming to my TED Talk

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.
