First week
Hey! apparently i’m still doing this! who would have thought. so little update on all the goings on and a bit of a mood meter.

This was tough, getting back into the swing of things. coming off of a two month none stop writing group made working on this unbearably lonely. I actually asked myself more than five times why i was doing this to myself. It was a little easy as the week went on, but i’m not going say there wasn’t some slacking happening in that time. there was quite a bit of that. lol. Though event and scripting feels pretty good on it’s own, I think the real raw feel goods come in after you have screen shots to share. Actually proof that ‘yeah, I spent my time on this and it looks great.’ place holders feels like you just messing around sometimes. Screen shots lets someone know, oh! I might wanna play that when it’s done. and when you don’t have those, it’s a little hard to feel good about your project in it’s early form. but that’s just me. 
So for things I actually did! 
I made that cute update sign! lol (but seriously now.)
A good amount of chapter one is done event wise, you can go in the house, and you can leave the house now. 95% of the dialogue is done. there are notes in place for a chase scenes, but i’m not sure if I want to add it just yet. There’s also now two death scenes and a branching path for how you can get a bad end. 
Asset wise, I have a list of what i want, I just haven’t worked on it yet. So I don’t have any screen shots to share yet. There’s a lot of placing holding happening. But, something to look forward to for next week!  Chapters ones “creep” has been designed though! His sprite is made slightly taller than “the roommate” to appear more menacing so, leaving you off with a prototype of him next to protage-chan.

Okay, so last year I started working on this game. what was to be a pixel horror game made in rpgmakervx ace. but due to personal reasons, moving apartments and lack of inspiration. along with many other various little reason. I stop all production on it and the idea was shelved. That’s it, probably never touching it again. good bye. But now! It’s being revived! for a time limited project challenge!  so i’m gonna blob about. 
so, what is this? For the next 70 days, starting now to around  August 4th. I’ll be working on this project and making weekly updates about how far i’ve gotten with it. and then hopefully sometime in August having it be playable to the public. This isn’t a for a game jam, it’s just a person passion project I placed on myself. because in 70 days, i’m upgrading to different game creating software and might not ever touch rpg maker vx ace again. 
What are my plans for it? The idea is a four part point and click pixel horror anthology. That is playable versions of some of my favorite reddit/lets not met horror tales. With original pixel resource, at least 2 unique cg shot for each chapter (but i’m gunner for more), and at least two original audio tracks. The use of very little scripts, And ya know, it to be a little spooky! 
what I have so far? before dropping it, i had made a skeletal map of chapter one with most of the dialogue written. The start of branching paths for a lose scene and win scene. The start to a side secret event. four walking main character sprites. a sketches of  4 cg, and a working point and click system/game mechs. I have a physical notebook with chapter one fleshed out and small ideas for what i want from the other chapters. And minimal knowledge on making a ambiance track.     
so you know, things are looking up? lol 
What i need to do?  Finish notes on Chapter one through four. Event out the rest of chapter one (win, lose, and end scene). create sprite for the “not meet”. create tile set. create text messager/cell phone ui, research/create appropriate sound effects, and yeah, a lot of stuff. but i’m just gonna start with the first things and focus on a fully playable chapter one! 
more importantly, right now the game doesn’t have a name. lets not meet game is a place holder until i can think of something better. when that happens I’ll rename the url and note it in a update. 
 And if I don’t finish by August? My main goal is getting it finished by then no matter what. and if not, this is the last time i’m working with Rpgmakervx ace. so one game one shot. 
Tl;dr;; I’m making a point and click horror game in 70 days! crap what is wrong with me! If i fail I fail so lets hope I don’t! lol 
be back next sunday with a update, unless you know, I drop this or something.
