Leo: Pretty much any sweet will do that to me.

Leo: Cotton Candy; and I'd never had it before. There is something about the texture that I liked. Unfortunately it's so sweet that a handful is about all I can tolerate.

Understandable. Everyone has that different style of learning and I hope classes continue on well for you, Leo! I’m glad you’re having fun. Everyone is doing such a great job so far, your brother is really going to put on a great show. Plus, it’s nice that I don’t think any pressure is being put on anyone. I’m doing pretty good. As good as I can be with all the life changes I’m going through but I’m making it through. Focusing on helping Jackie with choreography has been helping.

So far so good.  Let’s see when the assignments and papers, and exams start coming back though- which will be sooner than later.  Oh, I think the success has to do with everyone.  I mean yeah Soren, but also Rachel, and Mathias, you and Jackie, you’re all doing a great job. And then everyone committed to their parts?  I watch the leads and I’m just kind of blown away.  When life gets overwhelming it really does help to have something else to focus on for a bit that feels like it’s more in your control doesn’t it?

I don’t know if it would help at all but I could even send you a copy of the schedule I made myself too. Of course you can make it your own but maybe it would help. You know, that is a wonderful idea. I’ll have to make sure that I have a day off for it. Well I believe I’ve heard somewhere that no part of a show is small. If you didn’t have the part the show wouldn’t be complete. 

I mean, I wouldn’t turn it down.  You’re right, it could help or it could spark an idea of something that would help.  I know Rent is pretty classic and a lot of people that come are going to be people that love the show, but some are going to come that haven’t seen it before and of course we hope to help them fall in love with it.  That... yes, I’ve heard that before too.  So I suppose you are very true.  And it’s all I wanted really, was to just be involved.  It’s been so much fun.

ANDER: LEO! I am doing good. How are you.

ANDER: I hear you are doing a part in the musical? How is that going? Is it much different than doing gymnastics?

LEO: That's good. I'm doing alright all things considered.

LEO: I am. It's just a small chorus type of part. But I just really wanted to be involved with this.

LEO: It's going well. I'm really enjoying it. I guess it depends on how you mean it? Obviously a musical is different from gymnastics, but the performance aspect is quite similar.

Of course you can, I am just glad that my idea has a chance to help someone else. It always helped me with work and school balance. You know it’s been years since I’ve seen that movie. Looks like it is something I’ll have to watch again to refresh my memory. I am sure you will do every well in it. 

I love little tips like that honestly.  Or you could just come to the show when it opens.  With almost fresh eyes.  Oh, I just have a little chorus kind of part.  I just wanted to be part of it you know?

Online classes are difficult, I took quite a lot of them with my masters. The biggest thing for me was setting personal goals for myself. Little rewards sprinkled in here and there if needed. A musical you say? I really have been hiding in my work bubble. But that is wonderful news, I am very happy to here that. Creative outlets are good, they help keep you motivated. 

That seems like a really good system.  Mind if I use it?  Yes, the Lima Community Theatre is putting on a production of RENT.  Yes my brother, who is helping direct, said a very similar thing to me about how the musical would be a good thing for me.

Yeah, if they have a website or something on Yelp then I might say something but if I found a piece of paper in my tip jar, I’d assume it was trash and just throw it away. Don’t get me wrong, I like fancy stuff sometimes but there’s just sometimes I feel like I simple is better.

Yeah, checking out a yelp page or something might be a good idea too.  Assuming they know they have it, and are responsible for running it.

I’m taking classes in kinesiology.  One is a research seminar, one is sports management, and the third is psychology of human movement.

I think deciding to learn something new, even if it’s just in a hobby sense, is a good thing.

LEO: I don't miss those.

LEO: A dozen or so years... since Hunter and I were in high school.

LEO: If you want to have dinner together sometime though, I'd like that.

I can’t say I am, no. What kind of courses are you taking, if you don’t mind my asking?

I’m getting an after degree in Kinesiology. I have a Science degree in Human Biology from my younger years.  I’m taking a research seminar, and two classes- one that is a sports management and leadership, and one that focuses on the psychology of human movement.

Leo: I think I would be sick... Although Ross and I went to the fair and tired a bunch of fair food... and some of it was good, but I wouldn't have been able to finish a single thing I don't think.

That’s really good! Yeah I hear that is the main con about doing online classes but everything usually works itself out in forums and posting videos to Youtube in some online classes. I actually am doing classes to get my Master’s in Accounting, I wanted to be a little more sharper when Scandals expands and opens up to more clientele, workers, and investors coming to look at it. Not to mention I do have plans to expand the brand outside of Lima in a few months if the new expansion does well. 

How are things going with you and the musical? I am sure having someone like Ross living with you is a big help. 

I don’t see any of my classes moving to forums and I hope if my professors use videos that they provide links not to youtube.  I dislike youtube as a platform for learning; too many ads and distractions.  I didn’t realize you had a Bachelor degree Manny; but it makes a lot of sense.  I don’t envy you though, or know where you find the energy to do it all.  I know I couldn’t take all that on at once.

The musical is going well. I’m not sure what you mean?  I have such a small role though, compared to Ross’ lead, for me really it’s just some chorus work.  And I do have performing experience of my own though.  I know it’s not the same as Ross’ but being in the musical actually reminds me of when Hunter and I were Warblers.  He and Sebastian fighting over how to run things while Stéphane and I helped round out the vocals and the energy of the group.  Except for when they wanted to use my gymnastics skills on stage.  I doubt I’ll be called on for that this time.
