Leon anxiously shifted his weight, worrying he'd asked something too personal. But when Princia showed him the locket he felt a bit of a soft spot.
At first he felt a bit guilty for asking, but if the other wasn't willing to talk about it, he didn't imagine she would have. He would sit on the Bench too, remaining respectful of the personal bubble of another person.
"That's... It's beautiful." He looked up for the moon tonight. Sure– It wasn't the same moon as on either of their planets. "I bet she hops from moon to moon, whatever planet you're on, and she has the best view." Aw, it was sweet to him, that thinking of a loving mother watching her baby do something she loves... well, he hopes that's the case at least. He wished he had something of his own family with him, but he only held the knowledge that they... Probably wouldn't approve of the dangerous sport he partook in. Still, he could imagine them getting over it and cheering him on. It made him smile a little.
It was actually something he vaguely remembered his parents telling him, but... That wasn't something he wanted to think about. Not right now.
Open Starter, crossovers and OCs welcome.
Leon blinked as he felt something against his leg... A.... Cat? ..... Well, he wasn't a big fan of them, but the lad raised his brows, "Are you lost, tiny???" .... Okay, it was a bit cute, still. He kneeled down and gently scratched the animal's little chin. Just because he wasn't a huge fan of them didn't mean he couldn't be nice. "Henlo, frien." He cutesy-talked at the creature, allowing it to climb into his arms. He noted the collar, "Hmm.... Where could your owner be??" The streets of Mute City sure were busy.... Where to start, where to start?... Too bad he might get weird looks and claws to the everything if he just held it up and hollered 'Who's cat is this??!' .... Yeah, not on the agenda.

Leon tilts his head like a puppy dog as he listens. His ear might even flick once or twice in curiosity. "I've raced here during the grand prix. Well– You knew that. I guess I just never thought about people betting on it. I've always just focused on the track!"
It interested him. Gambling wasn't his bag, but it was interesting to think about the perspective others may have... That made such a risky thing a thrill! Well, we all get our kicks somehow, right?
Speaking of having fun, when Lily mentioned the arcade, that's where his ears perked up. "Arcade, so you say??" While he didn't verbally say it, his excitement showed on that one. "Do they have snacks here too??" Gambling? Meh. Video games and snacks? Sign him up right now!
“Hello. You’re Leon?” Lily Flyer asked
((Oh my goodness, I actually forgot this account even existed! My bad! ^^; I'll respond to this still, of course!)) Leon was minding his own business, somewhere between thinking about the next race and lost in a daydream all his own. His thoughts abruptly stopped as someone asked him if he was... Well, himself. He tilted his head at the one who spoke, "Hello, I-I am."

Leon hopped in the Space angler and he would mostly be quiet on the way there. Quiet– But present. He raised a brow as his machine whined a bit on startup. It had been doing that... It seemed to run fine afterwards, really. But he hadn't quite figured out the problem. Not yet at least. He had scoured the components of the machine aplenty.
He thought about the casino palace... Off the race track, what would be here... What? Gambling? Wasn't that what casinos were places to do?... Well, that wasn't really his bag, but maybe there would be something to do! If anything, it could be interesting to see the place from another angle. He landed the Space Angler gently nearby.
He climbed out and stood on the ground, looking up and around at the place with wide eyes. Gosh, where to even start! He would look over to Lily and ask, "What do you do here for a break?"

Leon looked at the gloves on his hands. In human form, they looked too-big and probably a bit annoying to wear... But not to him, they weren't. He was used to having to pull them up... Like he did right now!
"I've done a hit of boxing before too, yes... But these gloves were a gift." He smiled a little, "I wouldn't use these particular ones for something rough like boxing. But I'll wear them plenty." It may be visible that the gloves are a bit worn. "They're for luck." Leon smiled softly, then tried to lighten up and joke some, "Or maybe they're just a reminder to get off my butt or something." Oh gosh. The stressed smirk that crawls on his face. He's trying– The shy boy is trying. "Do you keep a sort of good luck charm, or... Just a reminder of home?" He asked with curiosity. He also wondered what this one did outside of fighting and racing, but... Well, he didn't want to ask too many questions.
Unless stopped, he would sit on a nearby bench. Just standing around was... awkward. Or was sitting awkward? He didn't know!

Leon listened, nodding to her first bit about racing being fun. But when fighting was mentioned, the boy would go quiet for a moment, whether he realized he did or not.
He had very well realized by observing that a lot of the racers seemed to enjoy being... Tough? Obviously, it wasn't everyone, but he wasn't sure if he'd be the outcast for not particularly liking a rough rumble. To do so for sport was one thing... "Well, I don't fancy a /fight/, but wrestling for sport is a hobby of mine... I-I rather try to avoid actual... Y'know, fights?"
Anxiously, he rubbed the back of his neck. He didn't condone violence– And if that made him out to be a giant pansy, so be it. "I suppose sometimes hearing about what leads up to a fight can be interesting, though." He raised his brows, considering the idea of drinking the metaphorical tea. "As long as I'm not part of it, that is... I find it interesting to see what brings people to their decisions, and what brings them to their points of rage. Toxic as it may sound... It can help one learn how to take care of people to help– " He caught himself rambling, and immediately stopped and just shrugged. Oops! He really tried to keep his ramblings to himself!

Oh, this blasphemy? I got bored and started trying new stuff on my human Leon in Second Life.
Why does he rock the like... Elf... viking...? Look? Mate, I don't know. I had stuff in my inventory and he desperately needed a hair update. I used it as an excuse to play with hair and random crap I had in my inventory.

Leon nodded, "Yes. The planet's officials were... Actually quite insistent that I did. Though the orphans are my own cause." He frowned a little, going wide eyed for a moment. He just momentarily thought about how it was weird that they'd send a kid, even if he was capable... Then again, he could do anything an adult could do. Well, at age sixteen, he was close enough to act like one, or something. Perhaps those in charge on Zou simply saw an opportunity and gave him the leeway to do this.
He realized he had gone into thought, and snapped back to conversating, "A-Anyway, I'm sure I can't be the only one racing for one cause or another, right?" He was trying not to let the conversation get too dark.
He tilted his head with a soft smile, "It sounds like your father loves you. " it actually warmed his heart to think about that kind of thing, "I don't think my own mum would be too excited about me racing, either." He chuckled, thinking about it, "It's still quite fun."
... One can both be sent to race for a cause and legitimately enjoy it too, right?

I got watercolour markers for the first time. I didn't even know that was a thing! Not that is surprised me ultimately.
I got a bit better with them as I went, but poor Leon over there... Oh no, someone please give that poor boy a cupcake, I don't think he'll forgive me! His colors bled so much, the bean!
At the top, we have my OC Olympiana, almost as bad, trying to reach off the page and take my markers away from me.
Her little red haired brother, Tilyr finds that he feels quite... Saturated.
Of course we have human Leon, who really needs therapy after being the first to get coloured with the markers... Sorry, buddy!
My chubby Bunny-Mage OC, Kimoune isn't very impressed. This is about where I started getting the hang of things.
And at the bottom, my two OC brothers Fei'inick and Leian... Equally unimpressed. Wondering what they did to deserve this.
Actually, I'm pretty sure Leian is just crying. That, sir, is a big mood.
BRB, burning this! (Jkjk. But seriously, I need practice with these.. !)

The Casino Palace– Leon had indeed been by there. He perked one ear and tilted his head, noting to himself that he really hadn't gone there casually before. As Lily mentioned being a soldier and having duties, Leon had to respect it.
Oh, he was no soldier. He wasn't a fan of combat outside of sport, or war. After his own experiences, he was quite the pacifist. Though, the perspective of a soldier is often that they're trying to protect the peace in one way or another, and he couldn't help but to think about that.
"I could do that." He said with a bit of shy enthusiasm, "I've been over there, as anyone in the F-Zero races probably has. But I've never gone just... Casually!... It could be grand."
Despite the fact that he wasn't the sharpest tool in the box (he was well aware of that really,) he was interested in discovering a place he hadn't taken the leisure to visit and learn about the perspectives of another.
Hmm... Leisure instead of duties. He'd focused so much on duty this whole time... Maybe he wasn't so different from a soldier in some ways after all.

Can I just... Gripe?
Well, it's probably been said before by plenty more than myself, but ads for mobile games are feckin' disgusting sometimes. I could scroll something wholesome and then boom: nasty-arse ad to make me cringe. You don't even have to actually look at them, you can scroll on by and still you'll see a tomato with maggots all over it being fed to a child or something for at least a second.
Ahh, isn't it great? Adorable. I love it. So good. Not annoying or grody whatsoever. (Sarcasm quite heavily implied.)

favorite word?
"Well, sometimes it does change, but at the moment? My brain just goes "PotatoPotatoPotato!" From time to time... I do enjoy the vegetable, sure. But the word is also fun to just... Potatopotatopotato...!"

Leon listened to Princia's story, his ears moving a bit under his hair. It was subconscious, part of his less human side.
A slight relief came to his being as he was assured he didn't need to bow. Really, her words reminded him that important people are still people. Not that he ever doubted that by any means!
Hm, 'dull', she had said. What he wouldn't give to have a few moments of dull in his life at home. Even when he wasn't racing and/or representing his planet and cause, he still was always taking care of something or someone. It seemed to be that way for as long as he could remember. But at the same time, he understood wanting to branch out. Wanting to do something else with one's life.
"That's actually nice to hear." He admits with a nod, "Too often, it's easy to only see the authority of one in your position. To see the person freely being... Well, the person they are–" He smiled, softly, but with a brightness to it, though he lacked words. He didn't want to sound like a broken record and say it was nice. But it just... Legitimately was nice! "Not to mention the things one can learn from other planets... I've picked up recipes and great music from some. It's an enlightening experience."
... The officials of his planet, who often dictated where he went often said that kind of cultural stuff wasn't important enough to return with. But the lad could surely enjoy such things himself, couldn't he!
"... My planet, Zou, is... Well, not dull, but not much fun either... I'd be a liar if I said I didn't sort of get thrown into the position I'm in now. But I'd also be a liar if I said the F-ZERO wasn't fun... I give what I don't need to get by to the orphanages filled by... Conflict." He didn't much like to speak of the war, honestly. "If one day I actually won the big race, I'd love to do even more than that." His cause and his capability was the reason he was even allowed to do this. But he had just... Not realized how interesting it could be!
Yup. The big bad wolf was a big nerd.

Leon nodded softly, confirming that it was indeed him Lily would have seen at the grand prix before. But it would have been in passing mostly. His focus was usually on what was ahead of and around him at all times while racing. But on the topic of racing, he had nothing more to do until the next race was to come about.
A hint of hopeful anxiety shone in his teal eye, but he would shrug, with a soft smile, "I've nothing more on my plate today, so that would be... Actually nice to do things." Maybe he could make a friend. It was his own shy nature that made him hesitant, but he had been told before he needed to make friends, and he knew that was true. So... He would go for it.

Leon paused as he listened to the girl, and he backed off some, remaining a polite distance. "Yes, I'm Leon, from the planet Zou." That was almost all the information he could give of himself aside from his cause and all that... But people didn't really want to hear him prattle on in most cases. He tilted his head almost like a puppy dog as he seemed unsure if he needed to bow or...?
She is a princess and all. He means no disrespect, after all. Awkwardly, but trying to do the right thing, he bows at the waist. "You're an excellent driver, your highness." Oh no, was that too formal?
"And clearly, you're also a beloved owner to that kitten." He would straighten back up. He's a bit shy, but his overall demeanor isn't unfriendly whatsoever.
Oh he was very curious what a princess would be doing racing, but... Perhaps, he considered, it wasn't any of his business. On another consideration, though, it couldn't hurt to get to know his fellow drivers. The few contacts he had on Zou often nagged at him that he needed to make friends. So, in a bit of a bold (for this shy bean, anyway,) move he asked, "I hope it isn't rude of me to ask. What brought you here? Er, into racing, I mean."
