OKAY. SO. UNDERTALE VS SUPER MARIO WORLD

alright, it’s round 3 of the Best Game Ever contest on GFaqs and I don’t have that much to say about this one. how do you comment on a match-up like this? we all know SMW. even if you’ve never played it, you know that it’s a classic. a beloved game with great level design. a champion of nostalgia. is it perfect? nah, no game is, but I can’t deny SMW is an incredible game that I’ve put many, many hours into.

but I think Undertale is also an incredible game. the two are from genres so different it’s almost impossible to compare them, so picking one over the other is tough. but I think Undertale is easily wonderful enough to be considered as good a game as SMW. it’s a fun, clever, hilarious title with lots of lovable characters and a touching story, which plays with the medium and subverts expectations. it’s amazing.

and as a new indie title, compared to a decades old game everyone already KNOWS is a classic, I think Undertale is more deserving of recognition. I think seeing Undertale knock out a reigning champ like SMW would be pretty incredible. I think if any game is capable of it and deserving of it, it’s Undertale.

It was so much fun to do holly macaroni! Or should I say, holly spaghetti… I was only planning to animate the part where Mettaton EX turns around… But then I don’t know what demon possessed me, I ended up doing all this!

Toriel phoned you every now and then when you were in the ruins. Somehow, Undyne followed you everywhere in waterfall. (Even Monster Kid did) Even Muffet may has her own spider as watch-dogs. And dude, Gaster looking at us from the code within game. Seriously guys?

i remembered mettaton’s comment at the end of the true pacifist run about smoochin nd the first time i went through that convinced me that every single thing you did was live programming for the monsters

The Robot(...?) Family

I just want to try designing Napstabot and MadBot. Well, to be fair, Mad Dummy already had “Robot Dummy” shooting missiles in his fight anyways. I don’t think it’ll be that hard for him to want to become robot like his cousin. Lol. But who know? Maybe one day he’ll miss the soft cotton body feeling?

Oh, soooo MadBot can totally shoot missiles and become red when overheated as well. And I have to point out that I was inspired by this Dummy! Remix while drawing them.

I was full of determination to finish it for you all !!

Well, I got so many requests from you, precious fans, to animate something about “Undertale”…. so there is “Underfail” :D

Long time since I parodiate something and well, I saw so many awesome fanarts of this game …. I wanted to try and make it a present for you all =D (hoping I’m not too late, hoho !)

The animation is a little too fast sometimes and that’s normal =) I put hidden things, so you have to stop the video to see them all :D

This game is amazing, I mean PIXEL ART aaah ! (love this retro style <3) and the musics are awesome, the characters are really interesting, how not to make fanarts about them all ?

A huge thank to Toby’s fox and all the team for making such a good game and being able to create something that link people together (so many fanarts x) )

Well, I hope you will like it, took some free time to make and it was cool ^^
