My Review

As I opened the box for The NKJV Woman’s Study Bible, I was overtaken with sheer giddiness at the beauty of the Lord’s story.  Our Story.

When I shop for a Bible, I don’t just go pick up the first thing I see.  It has to be something that doesn’t change the meaning from the KJV.  It has to be a book that is easy on my eyes to see.  It also has to be comfortable.  

I like a concordance, and some other study guides, certain translations of words that are key to the message.  Red letter when it is Jesus words.  As well as the quality of the actual book itself.  The stitching, the leather, the edges, the pages.  Last but not least, I want a ribbon bookmark.  This Bible has all that, and while it is imitation leather, I was sold.

As I opened it up, I was greeted with beautiful pages.  The colors of this Bible are so soothing, I just wanted to be “in it”  I know, I know you shouldn’t judge reading the Bible by the way it looks externally, that ole’ judge a book by the cover thing.  Well, they shouldn’t make it so beautiful!  So that being said, I immediately went to read James, which for me, is how I can tell if I am going to like a version of the Bible or not.  I read James, I read John 3:16, Romans 3:23 and the first few books of Genesis.  If they stay true to the KJV, then I know I can trust that version to not lead me down a wrong path.

  This New Women’s Study Bible is perfect for the things women face every day, from just feeling an incredibly crappy day, days when our home is the last place we want to be, or even those times, when we want to argue with God and not let him have control of every aspect of our life, just to name a few things.

  This Study Bible contains features like maps, a concordance, an index, topical features throughout the Bible as well as inspirational quotes that are set throughout by notables as Mother Teresa, Ruth Bell Graham, and Gloria Gaither.
