"THE DOPAMINE OF ELDER GODS COURSES THROUGH MY MIND"

The Quake II Remaster is miles better than the original release in ways I didn't think of before, and even better than the Quake 1 Remaster in terms of netcode and features.

I was playing multiplayer deathmatch with my goofy ahh pals and I found my shots connecting way more accurately compared to Quake 1, where due to playing with people from across the pond, I had to lead my shots constantly, even with hitscan weapons. Quake II thankfully didn't have this problem. Impressive!

I'm hoping Nightdive will update the Quake 1 Remaster with the same netcode wizardry they implemented into freshly released Q2R, along with that neato navigator function that's really great for new players trying to find the way forward.

All that aside, to celebrate the release, here's my OC Michelle Aquastone under the effects of

So Tony Grayson of Summitsphere asked the community to redraw this specific shot of Annie from the upcoming hit video game Antonblast! Naturally I, along with several other artists, delivered the goods.

On a more serious note, you know how I said last year, starting from my 30th Birthday, I would make it a rule to at least make one doodle every Monday and post a photo of one of my drawings from my school sketchpads every Friday?

Yeah, I kinda fell out with that. OOPS.

But ya know what, screw it! As I’m now more active here than on twitter now more than ever, I’m gonna get back into the groove of things, starting with this doodle (I admittedly got carried away with) of the hapless janitor-turned-hero Ed Boy from the game Tonic Trouble (1999, released months before Rayman 2 that same year)!

No new art prepped for Halloween this year, spent the entirety of October half playing Spooky games and the other half preoccupied with other things. Legacy Lance Thursday #2 is here Ft. the Cyborg Sewer Rat from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997)

This one I believe I drew back when I was in the early years of Further Education (for US peeps, it's british highschool).

For those who know me or don't, I'm quite a fan of the OG Crash Bandicoot trilogy, with second game being my favourite!

The game featured alot of the mooks from the 1st game except they were all roboticized by Dr. N. Brio to stop Crash from gathering the Power Crystals for Dr. Neo Cortex.

The first sketch I'm not sure when I made, know for sure tho that this was a very early attempt to draw the SMB game in it's pixely state.

Merry (belated) Christmas & A Happy (also belated) New Year 2022!

FINALLY after fighting bouts of lack-of-motivation and my body telling me to fall asleep at my desk, right before the final day of Christmas, it is DONE!!!

Now this is a Christmas Project that I had thought up a while ago and have been meaning to make. Originally I wanted to animate it, but didn't have time. It was also meant to be more minimalistic, with both characters representing two of my favourite colours, Purple and Green Teal.

Speaking of Characters, not only is this a Christmas double art feature, this art also counts as the anniversaries of both my OCs Michelle Aquastone (space pirate slime girl) and Janus Moonhare (Chillax Lunar Demi-God), the former of which I created 5 years ago (Dec 20th 2016) and the latter I created 15 years ago (Sep 24th 2006)! Oh yeah and then there's 3 year old Kittowl critter companion fella, another OC I made on the 7th of Sep 2018. (Keep in mind though these aren't their actual ages lore-wise)

So yeah, this basically doubles as their birthday gifts. Truly a Christmas miracle!

My only regret is that I chose to make this right before Christmas day, thinking I could power through and complete it before then, or even before the end of the year instead of, ya know, doing it a week before in advance so I could spend a little bit more time spending the 12 days of Christmas relaxing with friends and family (which ofcourse I did, I just wish I did a bit more of it instead of working).

With that all said and done though, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays, and a prosperous new year!

And so after 6 years of being on the air, we finally bid a bittersweet farewell to Steven Universe with the finale of Steven Universe Future.

Man, I really don’t know how to do this sendoff to one of my favourite series justice, but I will do my best.

I remember years ago, back when I was way more active on this site especially, Steven Universe had started off it’s life on Cartoon Network. I watched only the first two episodes, but I never really bothered to keep up with the show.

It wasn't until the start of the second season I really started getting into Steven Universe as a whole. I reblogged fanart, read all these crazy theories (most of which came true funnily enough), listened to covers of the show's boppin' songs, and of course, I binged the entire show repeatedly to the point where I know most of the lines from some of the episodes.

I took the next step and started socialising with the fan community via SU's subreddit. It was there I eventually joined the SU/r's Discord (AKA SUD). And then I made new, life-long, friends with another discord server related to SU/r's partner subreddit BeachCity, where they used to host weekend Drawpiles while we were waiting for new episodes to air during those long, LONG Hiatuses. To this day, I am still with most of the friends I made back in the early days of this show's life.

I feel that without this show, I wouldn't have all the online friends I have now.

Heck, I'd say this show has changed me in ways I didn't think possible.

It taught me that it was okay for men to cry, to garner greater empathy for different people from all walks of life, to resolve conflicts that don't always need to require violence, and to love on a grander, more nuanced scale...

And for that, I am deeply humbled and thankful.
