I have finally finished my OC, Carys from Frost of Avalon. She’s not an official piece since it wasn’t commissioned by the publisher, but it was fun to paint her!

I’ve been following Ross on his youtube channel and trying his Master Class tutorials. This was character design. I chose a character I already knew the base look for, so testing her style and things turned into a character progression arc.

Look 1: Valena first starts training with Shiki. She is shy and unsure of herself.

Look 2: Valena has gone all in with her training. She’s developed some muscles but is trying too hard.

Look 3: Valena is now a lightweight fighter. She has found herself and chopped off some of her hair, much to her mother’s horror.

Valena is the main character of Sky Warrior.

Playing around with characters from a comic I’m using for my illustration practice. There’s a “magical girl” bit, but Ea rejected the sailor-scout uniform XD The first one is the completed version of the outfit/suit she’ll have for that arc.

A paint practice that took me several days between writing. I’m trying to decide on a pallet type and tried for a more rendered product. Still probably needs a lot of work, but I’m done X)

A character sheet for Nimbus. I think his look has improved, but I did buy myself a nice giant tablet I can’t even fit on my desk or afford 😏

Nimbus is half angel and half demon (he inherited the wrath ruling from his demon grandfather). He’s always struggled accepting his demon side as his angel side is more prominent, so his horns (shown on his character sheet on deviant and tumblr) are chaotic and has broken his halo.

He’s never been to the human realm before, so he’s naive of their culture, but he’s so charming that people love him even when he acts against what they consider normal. I really love this character. He’s the kind that I just want to hold and comfort like an earnest puppy.
